Public Errands

Location: Castell
Korum Krov weaved in and out through the crowds of the Castell market place. Twisting through back alleys, main streets, and store fronts looking for supplies. He enjoyed the liveliness of the market and it's patrons, as well as the odd items everyone had for sale. he glanced at his supply list making sure he knew where he was headed, "If thats there... ...and the bookstore is... ...there, then... ...i'm lost" he thought to himself while staring blankly at the vendors signs. Korum then pulled out a map from a back pocket he had taken just in case, looking for landmarks that he'd passed. And, once he found where he was he began to Head in the right direction. Now, he stared straight down at his map, and only glanced up every so often to make sure he hadn't gone too far. He Checked it while turning a corner and had collided with a passerby...

"Oof!"

Kyra jerked back, more out of instinct that any real bumps. Clay, lost, hope. Her face pinched against the flickering intrusions, another step taken back as she clumsily tried to rebuild the walls around her mind. The space between sobriety and the haze was one she tried to avoid, but days like these, it could sneak up on her.

She hastily brushed a lock of red behind her ears, ready to step past the stranger and back on path, but something tugged at her chest. She teetered in place... and turned.

"Do you need help?"

“ Ah sorry, I’m terribly sorry about that.” Korum said, as he looked down at who he had bumped into, while he took note of any weapons she had. “I must’ve not been looking where I was going. Actually...” He chuckled, while turning his attention to the street around them. “I appear to be quite lost. You wouldn’t know how to get here would you miss... ?” Speaking as he stared back towards her showing her the map he’d been staring at. His finger pointed to a hardware store on it.

This wasn't her home, wasn't her town, wasn't her world. She had no clue which was east to west, but she knew which way she had to walk. ...Which way he had to walk, the force giving her a faint bump at the end of her mind. She looked to her right, red-rimmed gaze squinting into the din of speeders and foot traffic.

"Ah. That way," she commented vaguely, unable to decipher more through the haze. Would it then be a left or a right? The answer danced in the distance, unattainable until she walked towards it.

She frowned, swaying in place. Her head snapped to him.

"What do you need a hardware store for?" The question was abrupt, but pressing. The Force never stopped her without a reason.

Unfortunately.

Eskk was wandering the market places of Castell. He liked market places, they attracted people of all kinds. Internally he thought of them as buffets. This buffet was kind of drab so far, he hadn't noticed anyone particularly appealing.

All that changed abruptly. Eskk's special sensory organ had begun to detect something. There was a force user nearby. Finally something tasty and stimulating, Eskk thought to himself. Eskk let his darkside aura spill freely into the force.

He didnt feel like being subtle today, he wanted his prey to know he was coming. Now, it was time to hunt. Eskk began to walk in the direction that his sensory organ was pulling him. The pull would only get stronger as he got closer to his meal...

Korum looked around for any distinguishing features around the market while he let her think. when she pointed out a direction he slowly oriented himself with his map based off her answer. "Looks right enough" he thought hoping he'd make it before it got too late. he was about to thank her and head down the street, but when she asked why he needed a hardware store he stopped. The suddenness of the question had caught him off guard.

Mostly tools he said while looking at the supply list he'd brought reading some of the items off "hammers, saws, nails that sort of thing, but also a few raw materials." he looked back at her and wondered out loud "What about you what are doing here miss...?" his sentence trailed off when he realized he hadn't asked her name.

"I'm sorry, where are my manners," he said while turning his head slightly "I forgot to introduce myself, the names Korum Krov." ending the sentence by reaching his hand out stiffly towards her for a handshake.

"Kyra," she answered vaguely, conveniently stepping forward to avoid the handshake. Welp. No going back now, she'd have to walk him to it.

"This way," she offered, her gaze skimming over the hand she avoided as she turned to coax him on. "Are you making something?" She prodded, unable to help the urge to understand the inner nudge. What the flup did the force want with him? She followed its faint tug down the street, her brows furrowed as she fought against the fog to remain tuned in.

Eskk continued to walk through the market place. The pull was getting quite strong now, he must be getting close to his query. Eskk continued his search while his stomach growled in anticipation.

After another short bit of walking Eskk noticed two individuals conversing of what appeared to be some kind of paper. Eskk wasn't close enough to over hear what was being said. He also couldnt see what was on the paper, but judging by the way the figure in the black and red armor was holding it, it could be some kind of map or diagram.

Eskk felt confident that one of these two individuals was the force sensitive he was trailing, though he could not discern which of them was the target. Eskk stopped projecting his darkside energy. Hopefully they hadn't noticed. His desire for a head on conflict had been based around the premise that he was only hunting one individual, but now there were two.

Eskk did his best to conceal himself among the patrons leaving and entering stores, but there were frequently gaps where he felt his presence was entirely too noticeable if one of them were to look in his direction.

He wanted to maintain line of sight now that he had found them. His sensory organ and stomach were urging him into action, but Eskk did not know the capabilities of the individuals before him and it would be foolish to rush in. No Eskk would follow them for awhile and wait for the opportune moment to strike.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Kyra" Korum said curling his fingers one after another while retracting the hand he'd offered under his cape. Kyra started to lead the way "That was nice of her" he thought to himself, while wondering if he was taking up too much of her time. Korum began following her.

Suddenly Korum Felt a shiver run up his spine then vanish. Something dark was near he could tell, though not where it had gone. He made sure to keep his presence in the force concealed, making sure whatever it was couldn't single him out. He kept his head straight ahead looking at the direction he was headed while occasionally glancing towards the buildings where ever it had gone it could be in the crowd and one wrong look might seal his fate, but he couldn't warn Kyra. "We're in public. I doubt anyone would be that bold." he reassured himself. Korum only hoped she might have picked it up for herself, that way at least they could get out of harms way. Korum continued walking down the street following her now resting a finger on his blaster at his hip for good measure.

"Im always making something" he mused while gesturing to the ornate walking stick he'd slung over his back on a strap due to the cramped streets "whether it's conversation, time, or the sculptures I enjoy carving. but this is for something... ...different..." his steps slowed a bit at the last word, only to pick his pace back up with Kyra shortly after.

Once Korum caught back up he stated to Kyra "You know, It's been a quite some time since I've met someone like you." smiling to himself behind his helmet.

Kyra felt nothing. That was the point of it after all-- the spices, the other vices. It was to keep her pleasantly, blissfully, and purposefully cut off. The fact that she could a nudge towards him was a sign that she was running on fumes, but it was nothing more and nothing less than the vague concept that for now... she should help.

And who was she to say no?

Not a normal personally, apparently, of which he called her out on.

her shoulders tensed, the only part of her to betray her as she pushed on forward. "Yeah, well, this place is pretty far from Zeltros," she dismissed, her voice light and airy as she played dumb.

"You from around here?"

Had she asked that? She had already forgotten.

(sorry guys, busy weekend. Back in full now :) )

Korum Kept following Kyra looking at her when she talked, and had noticed her shoulders tense at his last statement just for a moment. "Zeltros? don't think iv'e been there yet. But, that's not what I meant." he said back. The conversation had been lowering Korum's guard slowly as he now began to look at the Items on display they were passing. He hoped that the fact nothing had happened to them yet meant they where in the clear, and began to tap his fingers on his blaster handle absent-mindedly.

The sound of her question was met with silence for a couple moment as Korum thought. "Ah, no." he replied sounding lost in thought "its been some time since i've been from anywhere." He hadn't had a place to call home for quite some time, living in his ship mostly with an odd stay at a hotel every once and awhile.

"What about you Kyra?" Korum asked gesturing towards her "Where are you from?"

( Don't worry about it. glad to see you back)
