Erud'ryz'ladre
Spock Meets Chiss
NAME: Erud'ryz'ladre
CORE NAME: Dryzl (pronounced Dry-zell)
FACTION:
RANK: Drifter
SPECIES: Chiss
AGE: 25
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 5'7"
WEIGHT: 110 lbs (see "Appearance")
EYES: Red
HAIR: Dark blue-black
SKIN: Blue
FORCE SENSITIVE: No
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+ Proficient with handheld blasters
+ Knowledgeable about strategies and things of that nature
+ Loyal
+ Proficient Pilot
-/+ No real motivation -- this means she won't be inclined to off her boss for power, but it also means it's sometimes hard to get her to do things she deems "unnecessary".
-/+ Honorbound -- She won't kill anyone if she can avoid it, even so far as to disobey orders if she thinks she can save a life
- Only knows Chiss hand-to-hand combat
- Slightly Xenophobic -- While her various jobs have made her more tolerant of non-Chiss, Dryzl still retains some of the characteristic CA xenophobia/general-dislike-of-non-Chiss, often referring to them as "Nah Swerr", which basically means "Not Chiss" (though this in of itself isn't a particular insult unless directed at another Chiss; it's similar to the Mando'ad word "aruetii" being used for people who have no relations to the Mando'ade).
- Little Purpose -- No job, little money, and no ship means that Dryzl has pretty much lost her purpose in life. Akio is the only reason for her to continue right now.
- Limp -- due to a leg injury received from an impromptu crash landing via escape pod, Dryzl now has a limp in her right leg. While it does not outright cripple her, the effects are still enough that she is not at what she used to be.
APPEARANCE:
Tallish, slim, and fit*, thanks to the Chiss metabolism. Her hair, while long, is always kept pulled back in a bun or ponytail, and she has a scar running across her face from a training accident on Csilla. Her once-long black hair has been cut into a messy bob, and she has acquired many more scars.
*Due to no money, job, or ship, the long stretch of time she spent wandering and trying to find Akio has left Dryzl underweight and gaunt. This means that her strength and metabolism are not what they used to be, and until she starts to regain her former physique the Chiss will be limited to what she does.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Csilla, Dryzl was raised from day one to be the perfect soldier; her parents were fairly high-ranking within the Chiss military, and it was always expected of her to follow suit. The Chiss did well in the military academy she was sent to, earning some of the highest marks in her class. Even so, many of her instructors often took away points because, as they say, she was "lazy."
This, however, was far from the truth: Dryzl wasn't lazy, she just wasn't that power hungry. Would she turn down a promotion? No. But she wouldn't commit espionage or murder to earn it, either.
After graduating from school, Dryzl rejected the offer to go into the militaristic and security part of Csilla, telling her parents she felt destined to be in the larger galaxy. Bidding her parents farewell and promising to make them proud, the Chiss floated from planet to planet, taking jobs as a temporary bodyguard or offering the local government some tips in exchange for a few credits.
Eventually, Dryzl attracted the attention of the president of the Red Ravens and, after some consideration, signed on to be the new bodyguard of [member="Cryax Bane"]. For the next year or so, the Chiss woman made sure to keep Mr. Bane out of harm's way, no matter how troublesome or daunting the task appeared. But, as with all things, it had to end.
One day, Mr. Bane called Dryzl into his office and, after light conversation, ended the contract between the two. Slightly distressed by this bizarre twist of fate, but not wanting to pressure her (former) boss on issues with which he did not want to share, Erud'ryz'ladre once again took up her life of the wandering bodyguard, picking up jobs here and there which, while allowed her to buy a meal, did not live up to the brief taste of true adventure she had gotten while in the criminal element.
Many months after being relieved by Mr. Bane, Dryzl was approached by Drax Thorin, leader of the newly-formed Grey Watch -- an organization of individuals whose sole purpose was to protect the innocent from criminals. Thanks to her credentials, the Chiss woman was instated as an Officer and received new armor and a new weapon. However, the leader disappeared without a trace and the Grey Watch followed suit.
Once again adrift (but this time with upgrades), Dryzl changed her career to being a hired gun for bounty hunting services, using her background and her tools to assist with detaining the targets. Not long after this, she was sent an invitation to join the Havoc Squad -- a group of trained individuals working for the Republic. Having never heard of the group, but willing to see what it was all about, Erud'ryz'ladre went to what one might call the welcome reception.
However, her stint with the squad did not last long.
Whilst visiting an old client, Dryzl encountered the Chiss assassin by the name of [member="Akio Diachi "], who'd been tasked with eliminating her client (which he did). Instead of shooting Akio or turning him in, Dryzl forced him to assist her with tracking down the one responsible, understanding even through her disgust for assassins that he was just doing his job. The pair succeeded in discovering the perp, a young woman who was the client's own kin. They stormed the woman's fortress, though without any real success - both Dryzl and Akio had been captured on their own at one point, with Akio escaping and beginning a general bloodbath before negotiating her release. They managed to leave with their lives, but Akio ended up losing most if not all of his memory.
Appalled at the idea of leaving behind the amnesiatic Chiss, and seeing this as an opportunity to get the wayward soul on the right path, Dryzl left the squad and spent over six months nursing the former assassin back to health. Because of the amount of time the two spent together in close quarters, feelings had begun to develop - prompting Dryzl to leave as soon as he was healed, for fear that the bond they shared was a product of stress and trauma, and wasn't real. (Akio had been attracted to Dryzl from the start, but she refused to acknowledge it).
However, only a few months later, Dryzl was once again contacted by Akio, who was in need of a pilot. Holding no current job, the woman agreed, storing her own ship somewhere safe. Their objective was to try and discover Akio's past, and were on their way to his homeplanet...only, it was a smouldering piece of char. Nothing remained.
