SPECIAL FEATURES
- Guidance System: The mounted wrist rocket / missile gauntlet has a built-in guidance system that when linked to a missile or rocket with guidance capabilities allows the projectile to track and chase its intended locked-on target. This eliminates the need for the traditional point and shoot schemes.
- Missile / Rocket Rotation Mechanism: To prevent individual loading of a projectile, built inside the gauntlet is a rotating mechanism that allows for the loaded projectiles to rotate positions after one is released; essentially prepping them for firing.
- Missile / Rocket Tubes: Like the rotating mechanism, inside the gauntlet is the tubes where the projectiles are loaded and stored until used. In total, there can be no more than five projectiles loaded.
- Personalized: The mounted gauntlet was designed specifically to be attached to the wrist rocket slot on Skyler's W-2 Light Armor suit. The gauntlet only becomes active when fitted to the suit and is programed for use, by a code only Skyler knows. Without said code, the gauntlet is useless.
- The Guidance System: As previous stated in the special features section, the guidance system allows the projectiles to track their targets once locked on.
- Personalized: The gauntlet requires a specific code to be employed, without the code it cannot be used; making it useless to others.
- Ion / EMP: Force abilities or other influences that can disrupt the flow of technology will affect the gauntlet's ability to properly work. To function properly, it requires a locked-on target for the guidance system to work; if the system is down, the projectiles cannot be fired.
Skyler decided to create a unique, customed-made gauntlet that could be attached to his armor slot. The concept of the gauntlet is simple: it is designed to fire projectiles, small missiles or rockets, at hostile targets. The main component of the gauntlet is the missile / rocket guidance system. Like most traditional mounted wrist weapons, they are of the point and shoot variety, utilizing a singular direction. With Skyler's, the projectiles fired through the gauntlet's guidance system can lock-on to a target, and once the projectile is fired, it will track said target to either it makes contact or is interrupted by unseen forces.
However, because of the guidance system being a built-in technology, it can be disrupted by ion, emp, or force abilities that can interfere with the system. In the event of the situation arising, the gauntlet cannot fire.
