Strengths:
Stealth: The Carbine is equipped with Kerestian Light Absorbing Cells, creating a fifteen meter radius of darkness around the user. Its shots are also silenced, aiding greatly in surprise attacks. Its compactness also allows it to be hidden under bulky clothing
Trigger happy: In its standard setting, it fires as fast as the trigger is pulled, and in secondary mode it can empty its canister in seconds.
Custom shots: The carbine has multiple settings in addition to being naturally quiet. It can be set so its energy will ricochet off surfaces, with a special targeting computer that displays the bolt's travel path on the scope once it ricochets, the predicted path going red in the scope when an enemy is in the travel path, allowing one to potentially play a twisted game of billiards with an enemy. It also can be set to a non-lethal, though highly painful stun setting used for torture scenarios. The bolts have a painless stun setting also and can damage droids due to its natural ion effect.
Accurate: Like a laser.
Weaknesses:
Weak: The default power is a strange thing...its more powerful than a basic blaster pistol, but not as powerful as an average blaster rifle. While it can possibly tear through most light armors, many medium and all heavy armors will be beyond its capabilities, meaning one may have to get creative with its other strengths to defeat enemies so equipped
One at a time: Using any secondary blaster setting disables its default silent mode.
Reload: The gas cannisters can take up to three seconds to reload. That's a long time in a pitched fire fight. But if you are using this for anything but spec ops you are using it wrong.
Difficult to Repair: While not delicate and built to withstand the rigors of battle, its specialized internals make it difficult to fix with average battlefield materials beyond restoring its ability to fire basic pistol strength bolts, which likely won't be silenced if its restored to working condition. It requires tools and know how to fix properly
Low range: Being a carbine, its got a lower range than an average rifle. If the stun settings are used, this range will be halved.

The Amalgam, In the wake of secretly deciding to serve the purposes of the Eternal Empire for the sake of [member="Kay Arenais"], as well as the wake of the devastating attacks by First Order Infiltrators, designed this carbine for use by both the Knights of Zakuul and The Eternal Empire's Special Forces Units. Known as The Arenais Special Purpose Carbine for the sake of formality, military personnel who tested it came to nickname it the Eternal Silence, due to its silent primary mode of blaster fire. Meant for use in Special Operations such as ship to ship boarding or stronghold infiltration as opposed to mass infantry warfare, the carbine is based off the internals of ancient Sith Assassin pistols as well as the technology of her obsession Maple Harte's defunct Marksmen faction, with both painless and hideously painful stun settings that can be used as a form of torture of captured prisoners, though using the second settings disables the silenced effects. Weaker than most rifles, but stronger than most pistols, the weapon is best employed against lightly armored opponents though the stun settings or accuracy can bring down tougher, more well protected foes with creativity. Its painful stun also makes it a source of fear, and given the fact this weapon was created directly after the attacks outside Kay's palace, it's a safe bet any First Order operative facing down this weapon should be very mindful of who the hideous agony this weapon is capable of causing is intended for, especially when the light absorbing cells in the weapon frame creates nighttime around them...
