Ethics of the Lost (open)

It had been several weeks now since the Sith Lord, Sith Lord could he really call himself that now. Since Arumi had surrendered himself to the Republic seeking asylum much as he had suspected he had been required to surrender his sabers and had been housed in the Jedi Temple as a precaution while they decided his fate.

The pseudo prisoner had been given some leeway and he found himself in one of the combat training areas more often then not. Today was no different, he stood in the middle of the ring his eyes closed and his hands waving as he did his morning meditations, taking slight steps with each movement. His fist and palms striking out as he meditated deep in his battle trance. He was an odd sort of calm and serenity as he moved through each step of the intricate martial arts that constituted his idea of meditation.

He exhaled sharply as he heard the five droids approaching, his morning was ready to get in swing as the program he had chosen kicked in. As smooth as the wind through leaves he dunked below a droids training sword , twisting low he avoided the next. The Sith Lord continued the dance of avoidance for several long minutes before coming up under ones slash, gripping its wrist and using force enhanced strength dislodged the droids arm. Going into a round house kick he sent the droid flying into another droid and cast the arm aside leving only the training saber.

He weaves under a high strike, slashing his blade at the droids midsection smashing it. He twisted again this time using his save to block a high strike he extended a hand towards the droid sending it flying. He dropped to his knees and slung his saver dropping the last droid. He looked at the few who had gathered to observe him. Some wanting to see a sith for the first time others to make sure he wasn't up to no good.

There was a set of silent footsteps, as Tracyn mother karking Ordo entered the training arena. He reached up to his cloak, ripping it off. He had taped his hands and his feet, and sweatpants was the only attire he adorned. He rolled and cracked his neck, staring down the Sith Lord. He hated Sith. Hate destroyed, but hate had built in Tracyn so much that Tracyn had turned it into a weapon. He flexed his fingers, intending to fight the Sith Lord unarmed. Which, since it was Tracyn, wouldn't hurt at all."Droids. Cute."He said in a bit of a snarl, his hands tightening and unclenching. He paced around the Sith Lord @[member="Arumi Zy"], like a wolf.

Tracyn was as every bit dangerous as they came, and even moreso dangerous with nothing in his hands than anything at all. He stopped pacing for a moment, drawing strength to his muscles, even without the force. He didn't need it now, no, he only used it when he needed it. He assumed the Echani combat stance, staring down the Sith with a flare of battlelust in his eyes. It was a non-verbal challenge to him, mainly because Tracyn didn't like the idea of a Sith walking around freely, willing or not.

OOC:
TEST.....

TEST.....

YOUR MIGHT.

" your emotions betray you Jedi, you let your hate control you. You lack the discipline to truly channel it" Arumi said with a snarl as he began to pace. It seemed as if his morning meditations were over before they had truly began, he expected the Jedi would challenge him, they would fight him.

He smiled at the boy before letting out a chuckle and then letting out a full laugh " so much for the legendary Jedi code" he continued to laugh as he took up a mandalorian battle stance and beckoned to the Jedi. This would be a lesson for all.

Blessed are the peacemakers
"Hate. Not exactly. Rage. Anger. That's more of my thing. And you, the Sith. I can focus it plenty, dar'jetii." He used the old Mandalorian term for him, it rolling off his tongue in the vicious and disdained fashion it was meant to. He smirked at the Sith, not knowing how much hand to hand the man knew.

Tracyn ran up to him, then dropped to his knees to a slide, and came up straight before him. Sliding one arm beneath his left arm, and placing a foot behind his right leg, he sought to entrap him and knee him several times in the chest.

@[member="Arumi Zy"]

" Anger leads to hate, there is already a fine line between the two" he said as he readied himself for the attack " Dar'jetii, that is a word I havnt heard in a thousand years" he mused.

When the attack finally came it was direct in a certain way, one ment to seem like a sweep or a take down. Arumi closed him left arm tightly against the intruding arm and twisted his left hip raising his right leg enough to to move over the mans foot, he was moving swiftly into a arm bar.

" a leg sweep would have served you better"

"You're dumb." Tracyn said, noting that he now gave him ample room to do what he wanted. Tracyn's legs were free to do what they wanted, as well as his right arm. His strong arm. Tracyn gave off a roar, and wound his arm back, and unleashed a straight punch directly into the face of @[member="Arumi Zy"].

Tracyn looked down and moved his foot out from Arumi's, and blocked his incoming leg with a raise of his right. He then started to repeat the punching action, sending several punches to the unprotected face of the sith.

It wasn't often that Darron wandered the temple on Tython, he was perpetually always on missions. The fact that both of his predecessors had been two of his closest friends helped with this, as they allowed him a long leash. As long as he was actively helping, and not letting his skills waste away in a temple, he was fine in their books. It had been the courtesy that Ben Watts, and now Je'gan Olra'en had offered him. They knew he needed to be out helping, and attempting to bring light to the galaxy. The fact that he was their best bladesman only gave him that much longer of a rope, because he knew better.

Conflict didn't make a warrior, picking your fights did.

So that's why his voice was loud, and why the two meter tall Jedi Master was perturbed when he walked in to check on the captive that was there. Lord Fidelis had come on his own accord, and had peacefully surrendered. His many acts and cruelties were known, but he was under the protection of the Jedi. So what his eyes met when he walked in caused a quick escape of air from his nose, and the Master of the Force reached out with his will and wrapped it around both combatants. It wasn't an aggressive or overzealous display of power, he simply moved them away from each other a combined distance of three meters.

"STOP!" His expression was deadly calm, but his eyes hinted at the storm that was Darron. "Lord Fidelis," he said as he turned towards @[member="Arumi Zy"]. "I apologize for this, we don't treat those under our watch in such a way. You have leeway in this temple so long as you follow the rules." Turning towards the unnamed Jedi Knight before him, his tone turned much more stern as he locked eyes with @[member="Tracyn Ordo"]. "You do your order and the code a great disservice. We are not Sith, Dark Jedi, or anything inbetween. We are the Jedi of the Republic, and we serve the galaxy, and we always follow the code. I don't care what you were trying to do, but I do know the aggression I feel off of you. You walk a dangerous path, and the fact that the former Sith has more control than you speaks to the state you are in. Either act like a Jedi or you will be placed under the watch of a Master again and have your rank stripped. What you just did was the same as a crime of war, now leave and go think on your poor conduct."

" Well it would seem this bout has ended" the sith Lord said as he looked at the young man who had stepped up to challenge him. The binding force that Wraith had used would not have been near enough to slow him had he chosen to continue with the fight, but he was in their house and had to respect their rules. It would be the same if one of them was in his chambers and disobeyed the note not to reach into his refrigerator.

" It is nothing to scold the boy over Master Wraith, a sparring bout that would have cleared his mind and perhaps taught him the better aspect of valor, discretion in choosing ones opponents. I would not have harmed him to baddly, after all this is only my morning meditations, i prefer to save any killing until i have had my afternoon tea" he said as he moved out of the ring and towards the Jedi master.

" Darron Wraith, master swordsmen, legendary bladesmen" he said with a slight chuckle " A few weeks ago i was intending to seek you out to test those legends, interesting fact i was asked to teach one of the former Empresses first apprentice in order to bring about your assassination. Rather glad she was assassinated before that came to fruition" he chuckled some more " I was actually hoping to have some one on one time with you, warrior to warrior as it were".

@[member="Arumi Zy"]

"It's not being hard on him," Darron said as he kept his eyes on @Traycn Ordo for a moment. His displeasure at what he saw still evident on his face, but he kept a relaxed posture. "That's the thing Lord Fidelis, the path you walk is much wider than the one we follow. You are by all intents and purposes a prisoner, even if it is as lax as it is." He picked his right hand up and motioned around the training room, alluding to the freedom of movement that the Sith Master had. "You are not physically armed with a weapon, have broken no rules upon arriving here, and willfully surrendered yourself." Another glance was shot at Traycn before he marched a few slow paces up to draw closer to the fellow warrior of the opposite alignment of the Force. "You may deem it necessary to judge someone on their past actions, I'm only going to hold you accountable for what you are presently doing." Coming to a stop, he crossed his exposed arms over the golden breast plate he wore.

"Sparring him wasn't the issue, and we both know this. Nor was I concerned with you killing him. It's the intent, and the ramifications behind every action. The process will work itself out, and you will be judged accordingly for your actions. Just because you are in the Order's house doesn't make you a training dummy. Nor will I have some of our more aggressive members think it's fine to attack a defenseless prisoner." Eyes fell back on the other Jedi in the room before locking with the Sith's before him. "You are powerful, you can do terrible things and have done so. That doesn't make me or anyone in this Order above you, the legal process of the Republic will hold you accountable or cut a deal with you. The Council will come to a consensus on whether we feel safe letting you aide us if the Republic doesn't lock you up. Other than that, I am no executioner, and if you see my actions as a weakness. So be it, it's what makes us different and I won't allow anyone in this Order to cross that line."

A sharp inhale was the only indication he gave that the news of Spencer's assassination had occurred, why didn't I hear that she was dead? I'll need to go seek out Ashin and get to the bottom of this, and he filed that thought for later. All emotion was gone in an instant, and he instead listened to Lord Fidelis as he finished speaking. "If someone isn't trying to kill me, then I'm doing a poor job of standing in the way of those who would harm life. So this doesn't come as a shock, all who have tried are either licking their wounds, converted, or locked away. I couldn't save some, but I tried my best." There was a melancholy look that glossed over his stone face for a moment before fading away. "What is it that you wish to speak to me about, you may have my time. Though not of the variety that Traycn tried to entertain you with."

( Sorry dude emergency job came in))

" You as well as i know not being armed with a physical weapon does not make someone any less dangerous, especially those who have mastered the ways of the force. If i were inclined i would cause a good amount of damage, death and chaos before i could be stopped. But that is not something i believe would further my goals in anyway".

The former sith lord and sith master took stride beside him.

" Few people in this galaxy have earned my respect Master Jedi, the late Empress Ashin before he assassination by the coward Voracitus, You, Kahne Porte and a few others have all either garnered respect from reputation or deed. You have a reputation that made me look for you on the field of battle, call it pride, hubris and what ever else there was a time i looked forward to crossing sabers with you" he yawned before he produced a pack of smokes.

" That was sometime ago, now i am more interested in fighting beside you. I believe you and i, could quite possibly become an unstoppable force on any battle field. Able to turn any sith, any horde back by the combined might of our fighting prowess. Of course the prospect of fighting side by side with a sith is probably not high on your priority or even you things to ever accomplish. We have the same end goal i believe, although we walk two seperate paths towards it".

@[member="Arumi Zy"] (I'm a working man too, not a prob man. Just glad we're finally getting to do this.)

"I know you could do damage, I know you could very well walk out of here with untold dead in your wake. I understand that type of power, and what it's like to have that skill." Darron looked the Fidelis right in the eyes, and saw a reflection of himself there. It was his secret, and his greatest flaw. That he recognized it, and had come to terms with what he was in truth had kept him firmly in the light. "It's not you I was worried about," as he watched the Knight huff off and leave. "It's the sheer fact that some here don't know control, and when your enemy is your enemy and when they aren't. You've got more blood on your hands than hopefully I ever will, but you've done nothing this instant. I'm not going to punish you for the moment when you're trying to better yourself. It's not my place, I'm a protector, not an enforcer."

Standing next to the guest of the Order, he didn't utter a word as he took out some smokes and talked of them eventually working together.

"I'll be frank with you, had I met you on the field of battle and I was trying to save innocents. I would have tried to stop you and bring you back, death is the last measure. The fact that you admit you wanted to fight me lets me know you respect me, and I know your people's culture very well." He turned and stuck a hand out to take in a warriors hand shake. "I'll fight next to you if permitted, but I can't let you hurt innocents if that's permissible with you. I want to help you, and I'll readily admit my own personal failings. I love to fight more than any Jedi, I just know how to channel that."

A moment passed, then he asked the question he did in the Council chamber once more. "Why submit to this?"

@[member="Darron Wraith"] (( Yea me to dude, we didnt get to write together much at the other place.

" Indeed many dead Padawans, knights and the unfortunate staff that crossed my path, control takes time. You jedi havea strength and a weakness in your attempts to control your emotions. You mask them and you hide them but never do you truly control them. After decades of activly trying to control my every emotion, to channel every feeling and to conjure the rage i barely have the true sense of control of them" he said as he put his hands behind his back and crossed them over the small of his back.

" And i will be honest with you, I would have given you a clean and honorable death instead of dragging you back broken. Some enemies do not deserve that, some deserve to suffer. Few beings in this galaxy deserve what my saber would grant them, freedom from all of this chaos" he inhaled his smoke as the question came, he had given it much thought and answered the questions as asked but there was always more and that was the fault of the sith never give more then needed. But Wraith had some sort of honorable quality to him.

" Many reasons, exhaustion, boredom and a sense of desperation are small parts of it. I truly believe in order, i believe in law and i believe in the need for a strong governance over the people. In those three aspects we may agree but not in the same ways, freedom is a key to your governments belief, it brings order but freedom brings Chaos. In Sith Governance there is Order, few freedoms and the law is badly applied towards sith. It is a mixed bag, under the current state of the sith with their constant need to back stab one another to enhance their own power Order and Law is disrupted" he stopped momentarily and looked around extending his arm ina wide sweeping motion as if to indicate some great play taking place. An opera of lfie and of all that existed and all that ever will.
" All around us is in this temple is controlled Chaos. Younglings scurry to their next lessons, cooks frantically try to prepare supper, two padawans find comfort in each others beds. A few tempt fate by trying to skirt the lines between light and dark and delve into lost and forbiden secrets best left untouched. With firm mentor-ship and some perhaps, discipline would be the best word i suppose the younglings will be early to learn the lessons that later in life will save them, the cooks would have better lined out their ingrediants and pans, and the padawans would find comfort in themselves and satisfaction with their accomplishments no matter how slight. Chaos and Order, two sides to the same coins. A coin that can be reversed both light and dark at a moments whim, a coin that could decide the very fate of a million worlds or the next meal of a young orphaned child"
he continued to walk again. It had been many years since he had chosen to speak in such a philosophical way, he had no fear of reprisal or attack knowing that Wraith and he were kindred spirits of a sort. Two warriors who have seen much to much in their life times, who had defined their lives by steadfast discipline, training and attention to detail.
" When i was Chaos, before i believed in the purpose of the force i remember my defining moment. I had just dispatched two members of the Jedi League of Shadows, dozens in my life time, a group dedicated of rooting out the last two sith. In our fight we had destroyed a town on Ord Mantel, mostly my fault with reckless use of abandon. I remember standing their in the rubble crying a young girl holding a stuffed bear, pain and sorrow filled her eyes as she looked at me past the shattered bodies of her parents. Those eyes , those eyes are more so the reason then any that I walk the path i do, i see them when i close my own eyes, they haunt me in my dreams. Her parents A victim a war of religious conviction and duty to ones dogma" he reached up and removed the smoke from his lips " The eyes of the lost hold no mercy Master Jedi, they have no remorse and they only ever can accuse. They ask a question that can not ever be answered to satisfaction much as you have. Why".
The sith grew quiet as he contined to casually walk, an noticable shaking of his body so slight that only those who knew about such sorrows would recognize.
