Europa Universalis III - Prussian Empire

A Beautiful thing just happened during my current play through of EU3 as the mighty Prussian Empire.

This is the current map

EU3_2_zpsq4sd1kzl.png
As we can see, in the West, Prussia is a dominate power in Europe, while its neighbor to the East, Muscowy is a dominate power in Asia.

The year is 1643 (On year in game time after the screen shot was taken); Prussian Spies have successfully fabricated claims to the Muscowy Throne.

The year is 1646 - After 3 years of war; we mourn the passing of Ludwig Karl I Helbrungen, Emperor of Prussia, Austria and the Holy Roman Empire.

1646: As we mourn, we look to our new leader, Friedrich Wilhelm II Helbrungen, who has been newly crowned as Emperor of Prussia, Austria, the Holy Roman Empire, and Muscowy.

Prussia no longer has to fear its beast of a neighbor to the East and can now pull its armies back to Europe and prepare for further land claims there.

In case you were wondering.

Prussia can field a total of 365 Units; It currently fields 360 Units (a total of 360,000 Infantry, Cavalry and Cannon)

Prussia can field 241 Vessels; It currently fields 200 Vessels (100 War Galleons, 100 Transports)

One of the things I love about this play through, is that for the past 100 years or so in the game, I've had a non-stop alliance with Nogorod.

I have EU4, I've played EU4 and I prefer EU3.

I may not have given EU4 the best play through, as my comp has troubles running it; though the few times I did get a chance to play it, I found that the system just felt more difficult and cluttered than EU3.

As I've mentioned before though, I am attempting to revisit EU4 and play on it some more, I just find myself enjoying EU3 more.

[member="Yoru Shakou"], Its not a cheap shot. But the mechanics of Eu4 have been so much more approved upon, especially to prevent people exploiting personal unions and peace deals. Eu4 is also a lot more difficult.

I have none.

Only reason I've got EU4 is because someone on Chaos sent it to me on steam as a gift.

I got it downloaded again, and going to try and start new with Brandenburg.

Y'all get that started you let me know.

But man that screen made me realize that I've all but forgotten what EU3 looked and even played like.

Also forming Prussia as Brandenburg is tough at first. One of the biggest obstacles is that Poland-Lithuania is a very powerful nation in 1444. If you can nab the northern Teutonic provinces and better yet get Lithuania to split off you should be good. Austria and Hungary make good allies to start, and Poland and Hungary like to rival each other early on.

If Austria-Poland ally (and they often do) you may consider just restarting because it makes trying to get Danzig (well, you can usually rush the Teutons for this) and Konigsburg (the real challenge) a pain in the ass.
