Public Exegol *Thunderous plains*

(1st post. Bare with me lol...Ahemm)

Harsh thunderous sounds echo throughout the skies above as The small framed Meguro Sith Fighter sways back and forth, dodging lightning strikes out of convienence? Or was it somehow being navigated..and guided by something else? It's passenger, falling into a deep exhaustion and eventual sleep remained aboard behind the cockpit control panel. As The fighter continued at high altitude warning signals erupt within the dashboard as the thrusters are taking heavy damage from the atmosphere. The kinetic energy in the atmosphere peels and strips away at the Meguro like skin of a fruit..exposing it's wiring. As another flash of lightning is seen, Arcubis suddenly jolts awake..shocked at his surroundings. ("I made it!") He exclaimed to himself as suddenly the Meguro takes a dive towards the open plains below. Heavy rain starts to fill the area As it crash lands into the open just beyond a forest area. Sparks fly as he exits in a hurry and falls to the ground, exposed to the cooling yet refreshing rain,

"I'm Farkled...There must be something..or someone...." He pants heavily as the rain pits and pats off of his shoulders and through the black microfiber robe. Taking out what some would consider an old navigational tool he wipes the rain off of the lense of his tracer and holds it out in front of him. It pulses and emits a pulse searching for any structures or life forms within the 60 foot range. BOOM!!! Thunder splits the skies above as streaks of lightning fight amongst themselves above. Paying no mind..he continues forward cautiously.

The Empyrean touched down in the open plains of Exegol. The world was bathed in a churning shadow that leadened the skies and cast a permanent night over the world. Lightening snapped across the clouds, briefly illuminating the contours of the thunderstorms that rolled over Exegol. As Darth Voyance, the Dark Saint of the Warlords of the Sith, stepped out of her starfighter, the wet and crisp howls of the winds greeted her. The Dark Side hid in the winds, it festered in the soil, and breathed in the airs - Exegol was a suffocating darkness. But, to Darth Voyance it felt like a warm embrace - so twisted in the Dark Side was she that its brooding appearance felt welcoming. The Sith Rutian Twi'lek had ventured to the world in secret, knowing that other Sith Lords - especially those directly opposed to her crusades made homage to the dark world as well. As she stepped out, she saw a lone fighter, a different from her make, or any make she knew of, crash beyond her landing point.

Voyance twisted her lips and narrowed here eyes at the crash site, eyeing the figure that fell from the cockpit. Voyance turned to face the crash site and began to walk towards it. "This place only attracts the dark," Voyance said to herself, pondering the provenance of the figure and is attachment to this blasted old world. She spoke to him through the telepathy of the Froce, whispering across the invisible winds of the Dark Side that enveloped everything on Exegol. "You there," she said to Arcubis Kornelius Arcubis Kornelius , "You've chosen a dangerous place indeed to crash land."

Like a fireball the ship above him seared through the sky until it struck ground just beyond the jungle line as he followed it's approach on his speeder. He'd come to Exegol in search of some truth, some secret of the dark side he hoped to find there. Still as he raced forward this side course he couldn't help but be a little curious as to who else had come here in search of truth, or simply just traveling the unknown.

As he pulled up though it seemed there were already visitors to the site as he felt a dark presence, and yet was this not what he was searching for anyway? With little caution he approached the pair his eyes slowly wandering between the two as her words spoke out in truth to him. He remained silent though for the moment as he felt the chains of the force around the area. Perhaps there was something to learn here after all.

Hearing the words of someone very powerful within the force echo through his ears..he turned suddenly as his eyes gleamed with excitement. He could not help but let out a sinister chuckle as he surveyed the landscape. He closes his eyes and breaths in deeply honing in on the direction of the force sensitive user. His eyes open as he looks around and crouches. "Rumors of a cidel that that exist here....I had to see it for myself..and those scum that chased me to the ends of this forsaken galaxy..have forced me to rethink my strategies..."

"They've said...When you've had it all...You want for nothing...I kept wanting more...Kept needing more power..more information..more control...I slipped..But never again...And you...What brings you here?" He utters lowly. As the rain trickles down his face as he stands up still attuning his mind to the environment around him..feeling every raindrop..all while trying to heal quickly from his physical and mental exhaustion.

He approached slowly watching both like wild animals as he considered the situation. He should be surprised to find more Sith on this world, the darkness was just too much of a pull. He just hadn't expected expected someone as powerful as Darth Voyance Darth Voyance or at least as well known. Was the crusade bent on Exegol as well? There was no reason not to, it was a central world in the legends of the Sith, but listening to the crashed lord he had to wonder if there was more.

A citadel? Were they building something here in secret? Not an unwise strategy, the planet was known now but the approach was still beyond difficult. Flicking his eyes between the two he answered Arcubis Kornelius Arcubis Kornelius quietly uncertain of his intentions or if the man was just consumed by dark madness. "I am Quintus Varro, acolyte, and Sith. I come in search of knowledge that was burnt into this planet with the dark side."

Hearing the arroaching individual he immediately recognized through the tone of his voice who and what he was. Looking over his right shoulder but not fully turned to face Quintus His lip curls as if in deep thought. "Your search for knowledge has led you here as well? It's a wonder activity seems to be popping up so suddenly..The Jedi seek it within the archives and through meditation...We traverse endless planets to find it for ourselves.." He turns slowly to face him glaring at him. "Sir Quintus Varro....Lord Kornelius...Now mid travel to Exegol i nearly blacked out..suffering from what took place before i was able to escape into hyperspace...What knowledge in particular is it you seek?"

So far Darth Voyance Darth Voyance had been content just to watch, still it was hard to be completely look away from such a powerful figure. After all they weren't enemies, but they weren't exactly allies either. Finally take a moment of caution he gave more attention to the unknown Sith Lord. His words appeared almost to himself as he spoke distantly of his own travels. He'd heard plenty of tales of the last stages of dark side corruption and the true madness it could bring on. Was the man another practitioner of the art of Sith sorcery?

His last words though were interesting, what or rather who was the man trying to escape in orbit? Taking it in for a moment Quintus nodded to the man to indicate he was listening before taking a pause to consider his own answer. Why exactly was he here on Exegol, he'd felt it calling to him, but he hadn't an exact reasoning. He supposed perhaps that was enough.

"The force, Lord Kornelius, I've been attempting study into Sith magic and in my meditations I felt a calling from this planet. It's rich in power of the dark side, and the history of the Sith. I'd hope to find something to increase my own knowledge here in truth, but perhaps I was called simply to witness this event."

"The force....Yes......The force.." He Chuckled almost devilishly and most certainly by mistake. “It most certainly is...” He nods in agreement as his demeanor gave off that of confusion as to if what he uttered out of his mouth was in questioning. As he looks and surveys the area a thunderous boom is heard as a flash of lightning cracks the sky not to far from their location northbound, making contact with what appeared to be a mountain. He turns as the rains continue to fall. “I’ve heard of ancient monoliths...platforms containing ancient knowledge and power...at the cost of ones mind...anything can be achieved...at the cost of ones mind..anything...can be achieved..” As he repeated the words again it appeared as if he was reciting words that may have been taught to him..or given as a life lesson..”Mr.Quintus, It calls....and I’m sure your Master is aware of this as well..”

Madness, Quitus was sure of it now, or at least a touch of it. It was only a matter of time till the body or mind failed with the continual growth of power in the dark side. Still, he had Quintus' attention now completely as he spoke of monoliths and platforms. At the cost of one's mind? Had the man already been, had he already paid the price, but been able to complete the trade off for this power? Would an Acolyte fair any better?

Anything was possible on Exegol, and perhaps this was the very reason he was called. He just wish he knew if the man in front of him was truly mad or it was a mixture of injury and corruption. He supposed there was only one real way to find out though. Quickly gazing back the way he came for he sent a quick motion through the chains of the force activating it's beacon before nodding. "Yes, and where would one find these monoliths? Have you visited them already?"

"According to some research they are deep within Exegol..To places unknown...Rumors are that it could be just that...I'm a man of conviction Mr. Quintus..If this power exists and I am able to discover it..All doubt and lingering inquisitions are put to ease...Now then.." He begins moving forward into the dark unknown using the skies above to light his path as he sees a ravine located between a mountain pass. "It is in this direction...However..so are many other things.....Care to hear a tale? I promise...It is a short one.." He motions as his feet sink alightly into the muddy ground beneath. He was determined to move forward...But was it out of fear? Which as some may say..brings about true power..Or was it out of confusion? He had always been a man of observation and his own faith..powered heavily through the force...He could tell that This apprentice wasn't like any other he had encountered..This man was curious..and open minded...He reminded him of himself years back..But Arcubis knew to stay on his guard...How many friends could someone obsessed with power possible have?

The soldier lifted the radio comm and quietly pinged for Quintus Varro - his smile twisting to the side in a slight annoyance. Something about Sith always walking off on planets they consider 'holy' really perturbed the young officer, and the fact an Apprentice did so despite his obligations only further annoyed him. Not that he could truly say anything, the Sith were the upper caste of this New Order - attempting to berate one of them from his lowly position would surely mean his doom.

When the comm would be answered, he would begin - his form showing up on a a small holographic representation of him near the growing landing pad, with its construction ongoing - freighters of every sort showing up to begin the effort.

"Lord Varro - Where have you gone?", he said - holding back the annoyance he felt deeper within him.

"Construction efforts have begun well, but I have yet to see the contacts Darth Bourous mentioned."

He was drawn back from the man for a moment as he heard the voice of one of the troopers report in. Ah, yes the construction efforts. There were likely a million men in just the Lord's space better qualified to lead a construction expedition, but this was an Empire of the Sith. Meritocracy was not one of it's strong points. "Well done, Lieutenant, I will return shortly, and prepare quarters for a Sith Lord as well as medical attention. I may have found something far more interesting."

Returning his attention to Arcubis Kornelius Arcubis Kornelius he offered a small smile, "I would actually very much like to hear this story, but before we venture further may I suggest some medical attention back at base? We'll have time on the ride over, and then perhaps a more prepared expedition can follow, Lord Kornelius?"

Not having forgotten for a moment the presence of Darth Voyance Darth Voyance he offered a bow to the powerful Sith before speak. "You of course are welcome as well if you wish to hear this tale, my Lady, and receive the Lords hospitality."

"I would normally decline such an offer Mr.Quintus...however..It seems as if my wounds are recovering in half the time i would expect..Medical attention may be the best option for me..And maybe I will meet those you associate yourself with." He responded while flinching a bit, yet in hopes it wasn't too revealing as the rains continued to scatter the mysterious land. He thought to himself..maybe..just maybe through like minded individuals with their regime..he could be of help..and finally start to reconstruct himself..in the mind..and body..as he once was..so could he be yet again.."Lead the way.."

With a small smile he nodded and lead the Lord to his speeder before glancing back at his ship. "If there is anything you need from it I'd take it now. Exegol has it's share of ravagers out here in the darkness." Whether he did or not they found themselves soon in the speeder moving through a newly cut trail of the jungle. Twisted in both root and trunk the trees bared all the signs of dark side corruption, it might have well as been Korriban all over again.

"Please, tell me your story, Lord Arcubis Kornelius Arcubis Kornelius we have time before we reach base camp. Once there I'll summon one of our Sith Lords via holo for you and perhaps we can find you an appropriate role for a Sith of your knowledge if you wish."

"It is possible Mr.Quintus..that i could use the assistance of the Sith..However..you know what they say about foolish pride. I will tell you this much, and the rest you can fill in how you would like. I was a former commander that operated off the grid. Under the radar..learning the ways of the force through my Mentor Lady Exega . Foolish woman taught me everything she knew..guided me..like a chained slave..It was not until later i discovered i was a pawn in her grand scheme to mean something in the eyes of the Lords of the Sith. By using me she in return gained favor of her superiors. At my expense she was rising in power and political stature. I had enough and confronted her in the Palace we built along with my Knights and small battalion. For some unknown reason..The Jedi received a tip on our secret palace within the mountains of Alran. An ambush..that nearly succeeded forced a retreat...I chased Exega however..Until i could chase no longer. With my fuel cells depleting i touched base on a fuel station. Lost track of her every since..But the Jedi always were only half a step behind me..It was not until recently, was i able to get ahead..and back under the radar.." He Took the time to explain aloud as they traveled. Voice echoing through the atmosphere that surrounded them, he continued to watch Quintus Varro movements as the speeder soared onward.

Jedi on Exegol? Not the first time they'd come here, and likely not the last but foolish all the same the presence of the dark side was strong on this world. Strong enough to keep them off their center. As the construction site came into view in the distance there was no doubt there was some ambition to their project as a dozen skeletal frames were lit up by sparks in the distance.

"Exegol is a holy world to us, the Jedi are a fool to come here into the heart of darkness. They are likely to be swallowed up by the darkness as they are to take with them in their souls when they leave. No one ever said though they were wise though I suppose. This site will hopefully in time become a place all Sith can gather. A neutral ground for diplomacy if you would for all Sith."

As they slowed Quintus called in their arrival to the Lieutenant who he'd spoken to earlier. "Lets get you in a bacta bath, Lord Kornelius and if I am able I'll call down one of my superiors to met you when you are healed."

"Yes...This will help...This planet..Rich in history. Every structure..known and unknown seems to have a elegant story to tell....My story..will be etched in the stars..and within this planet's archives..." He flinches in pain a bit as he exits the speeder and begins to disrobe..ever so carefully folding his garments neatly. He eyes Quintus while placing his lightsaber on top of his clothing with a faint smile. "Mr. Quintus...Who is your commander?"

Realizing for a quick moment he'd utterly forgotten to go into that Quintus actual laughed feeling a bit foolish. "My apologies, Lord Kornelius, I forgot my lack of insignia. I follow the Worm Emperor of Korriban and his Sith Lords. I should have said so sooner, but at the time the current mystery was much more interesting."

Waving over a gurney they carried the Lord to the tank before setting him in to silently float while at least his body started to heal. The mind however was something else entirely. A complex construct to began with corruption could carry a heavy price on the organic mind. Moving over to a comm unit he sent out a request for a Sith Lord to his location as well as the information he'd told him. Hopefully whoever they sent would understand enough of the mind and corruption to aid.
