So we're seeing a metric fethton of achievements and things from people who're making their own threads and really pushing the boundaries of existing ones. We're faaaaar from declaring winners for what seems to be rapidly turning into a playerS-run event, but some things of note:
The sorta-prequel thread, Weekend Treasure Hunt 7: Darkest of Paths, is still open. The clues have proven pretty ambiguous and challenging. So far, only five of the twenty-six prize-pieces have been gathered. Those prize-pieces, if enough are collected, may have a serious bearing on what's to come. So far, [member="Jared Ovmar"] has Fragments Esk and Jenth, [member="Anders Sivas"] has Fragments Nern and Wesk, and [member="Matsu Ike"] has Fragment Leth. Substantial participation counts toward the challenge.
[member="Ermac Laith"], [member="Mrrew"], [member="Chloe Blake"], [member="Lord Daemos"], [member="Countess Xyhn"], [member="Rayl Wilded"], [member="Jaani Doosun"], and [member="Mornhun"] are rocking out Weekend Treasure Hunt 8: Extragalactic Death World. So far as I've seen, Laith has secured one talisman and one component, and the others aren't far behind, but there's a ton of components and talismans left to claim from probably the most lethal Weekend Treasure Hunt since the first one almost killed [member="Ayden Cater"] AND [member="Cira"] at the same time. Everything from armor-eating fungi to Dark Harvest hive mind zombies, all set in a broken event ship on a jungle world that can kill you dead eight hundred ways...what's not to love?
The Snubfighter Job is also relevant -- it's a starfighter piloting free-for-all with a single potential prize, either a huge payday or something that might change the course of the ExGal Hunt. Substantial participation counts toward the challenge.
And as for private exploration threads that people have created on their own, [member="Chloe Kandossii"] and [member="Atin Kandossii"] have one, as have [member="Asher Kellan"], [member="Pibit"] and [member="Anastasia Rade"], plus I believe Darths Vornskr and Helios are kicking one off quite soon. Good on them. Like you can see in the challenge, creating your own short exploration threads counts for a lot.
Bottom line...you guys rock. Keep it up and I guarantee you're going to love what comes next. You all know I've spent waaaay too much time in the Factory making insane stuff...well, this right here is where I give it all away to those who put in the work.
