- Strength Enhancing - the original prototype Exo-Muscle was designed for use as a Power Armor under suit component to lift defensive plating and heavy weaponry far beyond user limits. Stripped of it's armor, an Exo-Muscle suit offered all the physical enhancement of a power armor unit for a fraction of the weight, able to enhance the user's natural speed and strength without use of invasive cybernetics.

- Corrosion - nylasteel components were exceptionally susceptible to corrosive substances such as acid or even blood, which rendered Exo-Muscle internal use impossible for most organic patients, who often prefer weaker but more sterile Rybcoarse.
- Electric - electrodes used to control Exo-Muscle systems via user nerve response were highly sensitive, able to take input externally even through the user's skin, however this put the system at risk when exposed to dangerous electrical currents, which tended to render the component immobile or even subject to miss input.
Exo-Muscle was an experimental Power Armor component produced in Echnos City. Intended for use in bodygloves by Imperial special forces, Exo-Muscles would be sewn into undersuits, allowing the soldier to bear heavier armor, smash through thin walls and lift heavier weapons without the use of invasive cybernetics, depending on what parts of the body were layered in Exo-Muscle.
However, users were quick to discover the benefits of leaving their suits unarmored or lightly so.
Full Exo-Muscle suits allowed their users to perform greater feats of athleticism when unencumbered by heavy armor and quickly became a favorite among Echnosian enforcers involved in high speed chases on foot in the twisting labyrinths of the dome city, and local mercenaries whose culture was often averse to cybernetics yet no less tech savvy.
Soon use of Exo-Muscle enhanced suits reached the wider empire, even the Sith.
