Lily had begun to stabilise her life on Jakku, falling into a routine of training and developing her skills. She was quickly learning the finer points of the different Lightsaber forms as well as experimenting with them to ensure she was never reliant on a single form. She had been training for a while now and the past month or so, she truly felt capable and had a good understanding of the combat forms. It was time for her to try doing some non-Lightsaber based exercises.

So, she decided to explore outside the enclave. To see what the desert was like and try her hand at surviving the desert as well as practising the Force out in the open. Somewhere without the safety of a training room.

Before Lily even attempted to step outside, Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren shoved basically all of the sun protection lotion that was on Jakku into Lily's arms. Something about Lily being paler than a sheet of paper, and would definitely burn almost the second she stepped outside in the sun. So she had a shawl that protected her head, shoulders and most of her upper body, but also had the added sun protection lotion on body.

Standing at the entrance of the enclave, Lily mentally prepped herself and looked around, curious if anyone wanted to join her in some desert based Force training. Chewing on her bottom lip nervously.

Kyric rubbed the angry red scar that ran through what was once his right eye in some mixture of pain and frustration. His decision to meet Master Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor was not a poor one, but it reminded the young Jedi how far he had to go until he could hope to stand against the likes of Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis and Creuat Creuat . Kyric had aimed too high on Coruscant, and his hubris left him permanently disfigured.

So, the kiffar decided to follow some good advice and slow down. His last experience on a desert planet saw him caught helpless in a sandstorm on Jedha. He was left cleaning sand from his old jacket for days.

The Force promised Kyric a lesson in even the world around him were he willing to stop and listen.

Metal screeched as the kiffar's presence triggered the motion sensors of a durasteel blastdoor. He strode forward to see an unfamiliar young woman toting long, silver-white hair, and an intriguing lightsaber!

"Whoa, that's preem!" Kyric trundled over to her like a flatfooted vagabond, not the Jedi one would come to expect in such hallowed halls. His eye was glued to the lightsaber at her hip "I've heard stories of designs like that, but I've never seen one before. Does the saber bit come out of the ignition ports on the side, too?"

Someone rushed over to her. Preem? Was that some slang or slur that Lily was unfamiliar with? She could not think of what it could have possibly meant and decided not to ask. She didn't like being ignorant of such things but she also didn't want to highlight how unaware of the colloquialisms and modern slang terms that were commonly thrown around. She noticed that he was interested in her Lightsaber and unclipped it from her hip and held it in her hands. "There is a crossguard portion, it makes for a different blade to use in combat. I know that there have been users of such Lightsaber designs years ago. Seems Lightsaber hilt designs are similar to clothing fashion, things go in and out of popularity and common design."

She looked out the door, "I'm about to go trekking in the desert to practice some Force training, would you care to join me?" Lily wasn't sure why the stranger was here but she figured there would be no harm in extending the offer to help her explore and learn to use her powers in a more practical, real world situation. "Or are you in need of some assistance?" Lily tilted her head as she wanted to make sure that he got the chance to request help if he was in need of some.

Returning her main Lightsaber back to her hip, her hands placed themselves behind her at the small of her back. Her steel gaze looked over the Kiffar and studied him, curious to see what brought him to Jakku.

Kyric stared at the saber hilt for a few extra seconds before his eye shifted back to Lily's. "I'm not in need of anythin' at the moment, no. But a bit o' adventure never hurt." He crossed his arms beneath the worn poncho over his frame. It shifted to reveal a katana sheathed at his left side, rather than a lightsaber of any kind. In fact, the boy didn't appear to own one of the fabled Jedi weapons at all.

"A bit of practical knowledge wouldn't hurt, either. Let's do it up." Kyric detached his cantina from his utility belt and gave it a good shake. Water sloshed within the confines of the container. "I came here for trainin' anyway. With Master Vanagor. I don't think he'll be mad if I get a little extracurriculars in." He explained while examining the plethora of supplies kept across his persons. Satisfied with the results, the kiffar nodded once to himself and peered toward the door leading beyond the facility.

"What kinda trainin' you thinkin'?" Kyric asked and strode through the facility's main entrance. "Huntin'? Fightin'? Some kind of old school weather control that lets you summon sandstorms and tame the desert?"
