Exploring Coruscant (Evard)

Eve moved through the cities' streets with a slow walk, a hidden pistol in her cloak as she looked among the shops and moved into a seat as her bodyguards stood nearby. They were simple droids... if you counted rebuilt Magnadroids as simple things, their bodies obscured by cloaks as well and the four of them all carrying electrostaffs like they had many years before. Her hood came down as she looked out from the bench over the cityscape before her, wondering what more of the city there was than the top part.

There was an interesting phenomenon I'd heard about. A famous Sith seemed to have aged backwards. Alexandra Cinthra was walking around, but she appeared several years younger, and without any form of Force sensitivity.

Fascinating.

If I could figure out what had happened there, I could gain both a powerful ally, and a good friend among the government of the Sith. Besides that, it could possibly be helpful to be able to clone empty bodies.... Like for those displaced from their bodies by sorcery or rituals.

I looked forward to meeting this girl. It could be a lesson for both of us.

One of the Magnaguards saw Evard long before Evard would see Eve and it turned, alerting her of an approaching Sith. The Privilege of being allowed into Sith records was getting a basic list of documents on the personnel in the order and this man was no different. "Don't mind him unless he comes near us, then i shall she what he wants if he does."

I watched the four MagnaGuards look around, constantly searching for threats. They were pretty effective. Then one caught my gaze and held it. He was expecting me to attack. Of course I wouldn't. Nobody gained anything from attacking first.

I simply walked up to her.

"So you're Alexandra's doppelganger, eh? Nice to meet you. I'm Evard."

"Who said i was a doppleganger, mister L'Rik. Perhaps you should sit down as i would like to ask what you have to talk with me about?" She smiled at the man and raised a brow at him as her information collected from both Alex's records and the Sith's were shown to her, studying them in the AI core that was her brain before returning her complete focus to him. "Anything you are wondering about?"

OF course, there were a million questions in my head, ranging from "What exactly are you" to "Wow, will you go out with me?"

But I asked exactly one question.

"Is there a way to create the reverse of you? A human inside an artificial body?"

She blinked and then looked at the droids as they stared at Evard, for a moment she considered doing what they wanted to, but she shook her head. No Flying Sith today. "As far as i know, there is not a way to put a living being in the body of a machine, past transferring the organs and making you into a monster... how did you know about me and where did you find out about my being artificial?"

She wasn't artificial. She was a computer, in a human body. As far as I'm concerned, that was a human.

"I knew about you, because I have a better intelligence network than the One Sith. Also, Darth Tsolan was hunting around for information on your mother. Any sightings of her, no matter how far fetched, are looked into. This one happened to fall on my desk, as it were. It's really convenient for both of us."

I thought about it, and then spoke again.

"You may not be Alexandra, but you're not artificial. You're a human with a computerized brain. If one says you're artificial, then HRDs aren't really people, either. You are a real human, for any medical purpose. For any emotional purpose, too. Anybody who says differently is either insulting you or underestimating you."

"Sit down Sithy, it seems we have something to talk about..." She moved over enough for him to have enough room to get comfortable (Assuming he wasn't already sitting.). "Now it seems Tsolan is hunting for my mother you say, how come he is so devoted to this cause than? I do not think he would like the answer given to him so i suggest that you not want to hear it too, else you will be in the face of his wrath for delivering this information to him." She smiled at the man and placed her hands down on her lap, fingers tapping as if at a computer.

"Oh, Tsolan's going about it all wrong. Honestly, it's most likely that she's with the Jedi now. He should've gone to one of the larger, more neutral orders and searched the archives. I'm honestly more interested in you than your mother."

But the intel would get the old wolf off my back for a bit, anyway.

"Very well, on both accounts but first the information. I make this news simple and clear, Alexandra is to be held indefinitely, in a cell or in carbonite, till such a time deems it right for her death or release. This is the fate i have gathered from my web of connections to the records of Governments... it is likely Tsolan will never see her again." She spoke with a cold voice, not even holding sorrow in her words, as if it was a deathly truth she wanted gone. "And what interests you about me?"

"Mostly your state of existence... And possibly your state of employ. If you wished to, I would like you to take on the management of the casino station I've recently had refitted. It's legitimate, but I also intend to use it as a cover for the operations department of our new Intelligence system. Also, forgive me, but you are rather beautiful. I couldn't say no to an order to meet a pretty woman in a park."

I'd gone too far. Oh, well. Now I'd probably have my ass kicked across the sector.

For a moment she actually did consider having the man thrown over the side of the terrace but she smiled. "Oh, dont worry, i wont kick your ass for that today, and i would love to work with you in this venture, i assume you would not mind if my creations were taken into service as well." She reached up and pushed her hair back, not caring about hiding the Eldorai features that alexandra had, for she was not her mother. "You are gutsy, most knowing my mother would know that calling her beautiful is reserved for a few souls, im not like that."

"I'm quite sorry if I offended you. Anyway, your 'creations' are some of the least strange characters I'd have in my employ. Do you directly control them, or are those looks you give each other some kind of digital mind-link?"

It was very interesting. It was either similar to what I had controlling my defense fighters on the Royale, or it was something far simpler and I was just overcomplicating things

"Call it intuition, small movements that i had programmed into the droids, have you been watching my hands?" She motioned with her head to her hands, once more she made a quick movement like that of typing and in an instant the droids freeze up completely, unmoving. "Simple Programming."

"Ah, I should've taken more notice of it. One with your mind probably wouldn't have a nervous tic like that. I was over-thinking it. My station's defenses run off the master control system. The automated fighters can coordinate to form actual squadrons rather than attrition-based swarms."

It was rather simple programming.... Something that I could probably do with my whole ship's control systems, if necessary.

"You do seem to have an interesting offer, once more i accept your offer and am curious into helping you with your casino if you so wish... i ask for thirty three percent of profits if possible." She smiled at him in a sweet manner but also in a knowing manner. He was offering her a position to be the face of his business and the cover for his intel network, she wasn't going to just let that go without benefits.

Thirty three percent, eh? Fine. It was worth it for somebody who has the knowledge and brainpower to run a whole station all by herself. It wasn't like hiring waiters or anything. She'd be doing a great deal.

"Thirty three percent? Okay. I agree. Your MagnaGuards won't be getting paid, I assume. Not by me, anyway. Also, you're probably going to have to help me find more people to fill out the upper staff. Trustworthy people. Don't want to get OS intel flying about everywhere, eh?"

[member="Evard L'Rik"]

"Im sure i can find some to fit the bill, i assume this place is for the One Sith to gain a true hold on intel or is this for your own purposes?" She smiled and even showed a key difference in the way she and Alex were, where Alex was reserved in speech and manner, Eve was no where near the same way. The way she sat and spoke was of that of someone trying to turn the man's mind away from what she truly said behind the words. She ever spoke with a voice that suggested an interest in him past business, though the truth of the interest was unknown or not.

"Like I would go to all the trouble of paying for everything without choosing what intel I pass on. Ha! We can filter all the intel we get, and keep what we want, of course. The OS will get what they need, and those of us in the upper staff will get what we want. Not like they can complain, since we'd be giving them military intel."

Eve was showing her less reserve side, and I was probably proving to be more devious than my soon-to-be partner had expected.
