The Jedi had been called in to investigate the kidnapping of a Senator from Coruscant. The Senator Zeeto Greed was a Rodian Male, caught up in what was initially the robbery of a common trade route. Who knows what his reason was for being aboard a regular civilian freighter, but when it was robbed, he was recognized and kidnapped; the ship's crew was killed, and the ship itself scuttled. They could have ran a little further though.. Aayla was following the Force initially, just following the clues in the case; and eventually that had lead her here. Outside a four story building, inside there was a ridiculous gang presence. From what she was able to tell, there was at least forty armed individuals inside, give or take a few weapons; but not a few people... They were stacked up. Minus one, making it thirty-nine if you counted the young man she had just put to sleep with little fight. She took his blaster, and hoisted it over the wall to her right; about a four story fall to the ground below.

With that, she tugged at his body, leaning him up against a trash can for the moment. Then backed up looking at the building. Josh had told her specifically to wait until backup got there before getting into trouble; Running at the wall, she took three steps, grabbing onto a rivet, and using superb body control to switch from a hand to a foot on the said rivet, just for a moment, she would kick off and grip onto a window, easily pulling herself onto the ledge and gasping as she locked eyes with another individual. Her movement from the window was more to close distance that an attack, but she made due forcing herself and the other to the ground, simple wrestling used to take the others back with ease and choke him out silently on the floor; that shouldn't happen again.

Thirty-Eight.

As long as she didn't alert them to her presence, or intent, then technically she wasn't getting into trouble... Which also meant that backup was optional! Opening the door to the hallway, Aayla would listen carefully, dressing back lightly as she heard someone coming.

"Hey, Lothar, the Fe-.. Where did you go?"

She had sized him up from the second his form hit the doorway, moving her right side against his left, while simultaneously hooking his left shoulder and careening him as easy as a sack of potatoes; she did this hard, and the top of his head hit the ground hard; potentially concussion inducingly hard. His fault... Life choices bore life decisions. She pressed her left foot against his neck almost immediately as this happened, from the angle it was just another method of choking him unconscious; and she continued until he seemed proper out cold; Aayla released him with purpose, spinning on heel out of the doorway, and would quietly close the door behind her before creeping along the second floor hallways.

Thirty-Seven. It was then she noticed that that number wasn't the whole story. Thirty-Seven combatants, and several dozens innocents; she opened a door that held at least thirteen chained blindfolded, and gagged individuals. She lost her razor edge, mouth going ajar at the sight.

A step late as that blaster to the side of her side of her head primed to fire.
"You move a muscle, and I'll turn the side of your head into Carbon." He said to her, and Aayla didn't look, she just closed her eyes "I wanna' buy slaves..."

"Excuse me?"

"I wanna buy slaves... These ones. I got credits. My sister, I think you guys have her somewhere in here... That's all it is" She lied, to which he would cant his head... Taking a step back, and flicking the blaster up the stairs. With that she moved slowly, heading to the fourth floor with this individual. Up there, was an unnaturally large Trandoshan. A Trandoshan in a suit... As if they made them that big.

"Masssster Jedi, what can Sssssalza do for you?"

Aayla made sure to take stock the amount of weapons, and people in the room. Where they were.... Looking over her shoulder at the cabinet they had put her saber in, unlocked, only closed...

"Actually, I'm the padawan. I was looking to make a purchase, of some slaves; but then... On my way up the stairs, I was thinking... It took about ten minutes to follow your runner to the building; about forty seconds to infiltrate your perimeter gate... Another two minutes to get inside, and about two and a half minutes to get up the stairs...

Aayla said, hands still raised in the air; wasting time at this point.

The Trandoshan sniffled air from his nostrils, clearly unamused.

"Speak Sense Jedi...Master, Padawan whatever you are; this blaster round will equalize you real fast"

The guy behind her stated, to which she nodded a few times.

"Okay, sorry... I meant. I was supposed to be waiting... That's all, and a lot of time has passed."

Aayla continued, to which the pair looked at each other. The Trandoshan looked at the ground, then shook his head.

"Play time over... Zeb, do it!" He snarled.

A kidnapping. Great. And a Coruscanti Senator too. Probably connived themselves into trouble. But it was the Jedi's duty to clean up their messes, unfortunately, so off they went. It would surely be far from his favorite job, but someone had to do it. At least he would be accompanied by his Padawans for this mission, who he was hoping to have take point for this one. They were getting older now and further along in their training, so he was slowly ceding more responsibility to them on missions. But he did give them guidance along the way, as was his job.

What even was his job anymore? The Grandmaster(?) wasn't really sure what the rest of the Order's hierarchy was up to these days. But what was important at the moment was getting the kidnapped Senator to safety. Someone had to do their job after all. Forty armed individuals... It would be harrowing, but Josh doubted it would be too much for them to handle.

Aayla did quite a bit for someone who was supposed to wait for them to get there. But perhaps she had finally met her match? Perhaps not. But the blaster wouldn't fire. Actually, it would careen back into the face of its wielder. The other would be lifted by the scruff of their neck, floating through the air before being slammed headfirst into the wall. Was it the will of the Force? Or...

"How many does that make?"

Was that an allusion to her counting to herself? Either way, the Jedi Master and Ura Iolar would materialize as if from thin air. Truthfully, Josh had arrived some time ago using the White Current as a veil. But he wanted to see what she would do. So he'd hid them both under the Current, obstructing them from sight and even from Force Sense. The only ones who could sense them were other Current users, which he doubted anyone in this house was. It had been a good chance to see how Aayla ticked. He had certainly learned his fair share.

Of course, as useful as the Current was, he couldn't fight very long in it without tiring quickly. He had used smaller movements to knock out those two, but he'd be fighting openly now. No need for invisibility. Let them come.

"When we get back, you're going to do a study on the meaning of 'Wait for backup'" he pointed out to Aayla. "Patience is a Jedi virtue, but I'll lecture you later. We need to shut this operation down. Non-lethally take out everyone that comes at you. Don't let your allies too far out of your sight. With these many numbers, we need all we can get."
