Amelie had been traveling for what felt like months. Star port to star port, hoping to end up closer to the force users and their allies. Throughout her time in space she had learned the Galactic Alliance, a psuedo "Holy Order" of Jedi had taken up the majority of the center while the Sith had control over the southern end.

Hoping to hitch a ride to Endor she ended up on the planet Bakura. A small back world place where people would come for vacations. Thinking only the rich could afford a vacation to another planet she moved throughout the city looking for work or someone to rob to fund her crusade. To her the ends justified the means.

After a long day working in menial labor handing out soups and blankets to the poor she finally had time to herself. She rented a speeder and went to the outskirts of town. While reading her pocket bible along the ledge of an abandoned tower, she watched as the people around went about their business. As she enjoyed her day she heard a commotion coming from nearby. Two large men were ruffing up another man while his wife cried out in horror. Something about him owing them money and him not paying off his debt. To Amelie it was not her business to interrupt but she did find the show itself somewhat amusing.

Until - out of the nearby structure a hooded figure darted to the two men. He pushed one of them the same way Amelie had been pushed through her home when it was attacked. The other man went to draw a blaster when a blue blade cut through his arm and he went to the ground crying.

Amelies weapons were stowed on the ground below in a bag along the speeder she had rented while in the town. She dashed from the towers top to get down as fast as she could but when she arrived at the scene below the man was no-where to be found. With a righteous fury in her eyes she set upon the medical team and survivors of the attack, questioning them.

"What happened to the man who saved you?!" she barked. The wife of the man, already afraid said "He left for the temple but said he would visit us in the hospital tomorrow, his name was Teimu. What a blessing to have Jedi protectors. Why do you need him? Are you in trouble?". Unknown to her, Amelie has just stepped into a den of heretics. Her mission here had changed. She left the people abruptly, got on her speeder and began to peruse the man back into town. For now, seeming one step behind him.

Mara sat in her perch on the roof of a building adjacent to the Jedi Temple that had been built within the city of Bakura. Her mission had been made clear, and she was prepping to see it through. She observed through a pair of binoculars the amount of Jedi within the small temple, the entrances, the exits, the surrounding buildings. And as she observed she took notes.

Her primary objective was to slay the Temple Master, and preferably a few other Jedi, to lay the groundwork for the pending invasion of the city. The less Jedi within the city when they attacked it the better. Their entire goal was to rid the galaxy of the stain that was the force and those who used it. But that was a long term goal that would take many years, most likely many lifetimes of hard effort. She wouldn’t see the realization of this purification of the galaxy. But she could see to it that the idea wasn’t snuffed out in its infancy. She could at least do that.

Mara sat forward, and she increased the zoom on her binoculars. She’d spotted Her. Jedi Master Tei Len. A togruta woman in her late twenties. She was walking along the upper balcony that ran around the whole temple, speaking with another Jedi Master she recognized as Jedi Master Teimu Sinn, a human male.

This Master Teimu Sinn was the one that Amelie Berionne Amelie Berionne was currently pursuing.

These were two high priority targets. If no one else the Togruta had to die, and preferably the human too. So far she counted only four other Jedi within the Temple, all of whom seemed to be Knights. It would be tough, but doable. They seemed to be acting primarily as diplomats and occasionally police to keep things within the city orderly.

Not for much longer.

Her attention was drawn away from the temple when she heard the sound of a racing speeder. It would seem someone was in a hurry. And in this place that was never a good sign. She turned her binoculars toward the sound, and looked for the source. If this would affect her mission she needed to know.

Speeding through the streets was not something Amelie was good at. Several people throughout the town yelled at her as she rode by. Eventually she could see the temple in the distance so she picked up speed. Coming to a halt only short of the building itself. Leaving a trail of annoyed people behind her and making her entrance obvious smacked Amelie with the reality of what she was doing.

What was her plan anyway? To walk up to them and die? The last time she fought such daemons was back in her home village and she lost. She knew her flamer alone was not enough as the force users had the ability to push back her flame. What than, was she to just scold and seethe from the exterior. What a foolish child she had become without her family and home.

She saw how the Jedi came from no-where to help those people last time. Maybe she would find a villager, tie them up and start a small fire. Hoping to catch the Jedi who comes to save her off guard. Was that just as foolish? Maybe she can sneak into the temple under the guess of a misunderstood and needy youth, wait for them to fall asleep and stab one to death.

"HHHHHHHHHHHAHAHHEHRHERRRRREHHAHHHHH" She let out a petrifying scream as she did not know what to do. It was already late into the day and would be night soon. She will chastise herself for this poor decision making later. How can she be so reckless.

Realizing this entire thing was brash and idiotic she moved to an alleyway, noticing some ladders and stairs on the exterior that led to the roof she decided to climb up so she could watch the temple. She thought she could sit for a while, waiting for a miracle to come by so she could enact some vengeance against the devils for her father.

Interesting. Very interesting.

The girl on the speeder seemed angry about something, if that howl of fury was anything to go by. And as much as Mara hated it, her own force sensitivity gave her decent insight. And that insight told her that this particular girl was someone she needed to meet.

And as luck would have it that girl pulled her speeder into the alley beside the building she herself was observing from. It wasn’t long before she heard the telltale sound of someone climbing a metallic ladder.

She returned to her observations, she’d let the girl approach her of her own volition. She had a feeling that things were about to get interesting.

Amelie would see a woman sitting on a low box, a rifle hanging from a sling over her shoulder, another gun holstered on her thigh, a knife sheathed in the back of her belt, along with a few other weapons on that same belt, and several pouches containing ammunition for those weapons. Her armor was metallic and grey and undecorated. Leaving only her head exposed, her helmet on the ground next to her. Her hair was long, a mane of deep red braided behind her back. The only other thing of note was a thick collar locked around her neck.

After climbing the stairs and cresting the rooftop Amelie noticed a very peculiar figure. A woman sitting there without a care in the world for Amelie's approach. Or maybe she did not hear her? Either way, she seemed geared and ready for a fight and was looking towards the Jedi Temple. Was this the answer to her prayer. The true whill of the galaxy answering her in real time. It must be!

With a renewed confidence she openly stated her intentions. Fully believing this was a vessel from above. Standing tall with her bible in her hands almost joyful she said.
"Hey you, it looks like you are stalking my prey. Watching that temple with that big rifle of yours. I am Amelie and it appears fate has brought us together with the same goal." Than raising her thumb and pointing at herself "I am here to kill these vile Jedi." Her eyes glaring with a fire and glow of an angel of death.

She let the words ring out, embracing the moment. It had to be a sign.

Well… letting her approach on her own had been a mistake. She definitely should have been more proactive in her introduction to the young woman. But it was too late for that. She just had to hope that nobody heard the zealous young woman’s proclamation.

She turned her head to look at the woman with a deadpan stare. She took a moment to consider how to respond to the young woman. After a moment or two of contemplating she finally spoke up, a lot quieter and a lot calmer than Amelie’s declaration had been.

“Any way you could say that louder?” She said sarcastically. “I don’t think they heard you.”

She sighed in annoyance. This just got much more complicated, but the girl was spirited and likely motivated. Both traits that her betters could use.

She returned her attention to the temple she had been observing, looking for any sign that anyone had heard Amelie’s outburst. If they had that would make things… awkward.

"Do not worry, our being here is destined." She came and laid down next to the woman. Somehow Amelie would feel power radiating from her but she chalked it up to holy spirit. "All of this must be for a reason. Now, what are you intending to do? Why are you here?"

She had no binoculars or a rifle to watch the temple from. She could see the two jedi out front but not much more. So she decided to just lay down next to the more professional killer.

There was an audible sigh from the other woman. “I am intending to do something that requires subtlety. So if you could please lower your voice.”

She could tell the woman’s intent. She hated her curse more than anything else, but that curse was useful in that it often told her what other people intended to do. But beyond that, she’d also just declared her intentions to deal death to the Jedi she herself was now stalking.

She could be useful… even if only as a decoy. Her loudness would be detrimental to their mission if she took her in with her, but maybe if she was used to hold their attention… she could possibly go in while the Jedi’s attention was on the more flamboyant girl.

With a little giggle Amelie responded. "You know Jedi can feel when they are in the presence of danger like traps. I wonder which is more conspicuous. Two girls talking or someone pointing a rifle at them. In a city full of people talking." She continued to read from her bible. Some of the information inside was of Force User behavior and habits.

"See here" She said while holding up a page from her bible. Showing that some force users have a sixth sense. "They truly are demons in their own right, deplorable things. I could tell when I looked upon you that you were a warrior angel. I know you must have the same drive I do because of how seriously you take your task. Do not worry though, we are here for a reason. Trust that reason sister."

She moved to watch over the ledge with her new compatriot. "Look at them going about their day as if they are not abominations. What are you intending to do with all of your subtlety? Strike now, at night? Let me know so I can say a prayer before battle as I will be joining you. I have a oath to uphold to destroy their kind, for my family. For my village and its people. I will watch them all burn."

She smiled towards her new companion. She knew she could speak the truth to her just off of the circumstances of their meeting.

“They can. That doesn’t mean that they will.” She said peering through the scope of her rifle. “And I plan to do it tonight. Once it’s dark and harder to be seen. If you think taking on multiple Jedi at once is a good idea than you are a fool. Abominations they are, but that doesn’t make them any less powerful for it. So anything less than subtlety will be sure to result in failure.”

She nodded behind her. “If you insist on helping get that grapple line set up. Once it gets dark we can zip line across to the temple and infiltrate from above.”
