Faction Administration Announcement

I didn't want to divert attention away from [member="Corvus Raaf"] 's announcement in the Republic Weekly news, so I decided to post it here, and will keep it short, without going into detail.

At the time of Corvus' departure as Faction Leader, I will be resigning my role as a member of the faction administration as well. I've thought a lot about this recently, and decided that this is the best course of action for my own sanity and desire to continue to RP on this site. Thank you all for being a fantastic group to call home, but change is always inevitable.

I believe whomever takes the reigns as faction leader will find a suitable replacement.

We are actually all stepping down. Once the new FL is elected they will need to elect the two replacements for our positions.

I am not leaving the GR but will enjoy the break from the politics. I look forward to seeing who the faction puts forward and am sure they will do a great job.

Nobody remains in faction leadership forever. Even I have stepped down in the past, from leadership of a faction (after about a year - that seems to be the upper limit). Have faith, Republicans. Have faith. It will all work out as it should.

That'll be interesting. I hope the people who desire a change in the GR's direction (as so many recent threads have discussed) will make their opinions known during the selection process.

Thank you to Sera, Kian and Corvus for their months of service. I hope you'll be remaining in the GR, and continue to grace us with your presence, even if someone else is driving the ship.

Losing an entire faction staff at once is never a good thing. We will just have to wait and see what the future holds and hopefully these three will be willing to stick around with the wealth of knowledge they have.

Losing an entire faction staff is not a bad thing, tbh. Big changes must happen and if the current staff doesn't want to or can't lead the Republic, they can leave. Leaders must change to keep a faction going and taking new directions every once in a while. If a single leader is in their position for too long, the faction stagnates.

And the entire staff going -- slightly uncomfortable in the current times, yet a good change. It's like when Tef once fired all factory judges in an instant, for example. And the Factory kept going after that and became even better than it had been.

Though you people were seriously awesome and good faction leaders/admins and we should be thankful for your hard work.

I have faith in the Republic and the leadership change.

Wow, big changes going down in the Republic! Being a FL must be a lot of work, I can imagine. I'd hate for you to burn out, so if a move away from the politics allow you to enjoy the roleplays more, then it's probably the right thing to do for you. I wish you all the best!

Like Varus, I had to rethink my allegiance to the Republic. But after sleeping on it, I think instead of focusing on the loss of a great team, I'll focus on the great examples you've been to what kind of Jedi I'd like to be. I hope no one leaves. The Republic will endure.

I hope the new team will follow your example, and keep this ship running strong.
