Faction Interest: 'The Resistance'

So I’ve been scouting around and taken in some of the things on the site.

Now I understand that with the Republic much of that ‘goos guy need’ is filled, but something inside me wants to do something crazy…

So I am getting an interest check on a faction idea, blatantly stolen from a certain upcoming movie that shall generate HYPE.

Anyway, who would like to see the formation of ‘The Resistance’?

Needless to say at the moment this is just an idea, one that will need some work but work I am willing to do.

First though, like I said above I just want to see a good indication of yay, nay or ew we already have a Rebel Alliance...

What makes your faction idea any different from the other Rebel/Resistance groups out there?

The Rebel Alliance and the Underground, along with NPC groups like the Alderaanian and Coruscanti resistance, are already in existence and offer a wide range of mission goals. What about yours?

I would be interested in seeing another "resistance" faction if it filled a niche that wasn't filled by the RA or The Underground, for example, if the resistance were tied to a certain people, planet or faction that was being oppressed. Otherwise you'd have alot of overlap with the others.

There were a few that sprang up on the boards a little while back, like a couple of Coruscant resistance factions, and I thought they seemed interesting, but they didn't seem to get much traction, unless there's something I've been missing of course.
