I think threads like the Ziost Affair is what we need. Threads where we can cooperate with outer writers/factions in anyway possible. Right now I feel like we're rather isolationist, and I feel like that's because we're so far away from the Core ICly. I'd say we work on getting closer to the OS and more importantly the Republic. Even if the territory we take is immediately stolen by the Pubs via invasion, at least we're Roleplaying! We don't need to win, or be almighty and powerful.

I just wanna Roleplay.

How would you (or anyone for that matter) suggest we go about this?

Threads like the Ziost Affair work, because they're social--but how would you suggest we interact with other major factions in other themes... Say PvP, or PvE.

I really like the idea of PvE. I feel like PvP wouldn't be good. We already saw how that turned out with the Mandos. If we do PvP, I say we talk to the Silvers about doing something. I'm sure they'd like some of the worlds close to us. PvE seems to be a problem for us to, as we can see in our Dominions. I believe [member="Anja Aj'Rou"] had an idea about a big PvE boss battle. I think something like that would be fun. Although, I still think our best course of option is heading west. Maybe even try and have our Dominions incorporate that social aspect rather than the usual 'Build Temples' stuff. It might even incline more people to help out with the Dom. One of things I love to do in Dominions that provide the option is gamble, and rabble around in a cantina. Lots of fun to just get in fist fights with NPCs and steal their money over a game of Sabacc.

That's how I roll. We need to get some Romanesque bathhouses to 'worship' our gods. But, that can wait 'til later!

The idea of expanding west was one I talked about with [member="Zambrano the Hutt"] when he first brought me on as a mod. We were discussing what planets would be good to Dom, and I suggested the old Mando territory we cut off with our invasion of Wayland. They seem to want it back, and everyone saw what happened when we Dominioned Muunilist. Just looking at the map, planets like Mygeeto and Cademimu come to mind. Ord Mantell would be a planet ripe for Invasion, provided we can ensure we put a proper amount of effort into it. Kalee would be a good planet as well. The Prime had it once before the Netherworld, but it was recently ravaged...ahem...would be lovely to retake the planet and build up the infrastructure once more. Nothing in the rules that says we can't turn the homeland of Grievous into a metropolis of the Unknown regions!

There's also the opportunity of flat out invading the Republic. It seems to me that Wayland would be a good staging point. Perhaps get a Faction thread set up where we all work on building up a proper military and setting up routes. Eshan does look tasty.

Invasions are a good idea, I also like the idea of expanding into former Mando space but one appeal about the Primeval, which I feel like isn't exploited enough, is the fact it's in Wild Space.

There's so much cool stuff that goes on there, so much lore, so much left unexplored. To me, the Primeval is kind of boring because we spend half of our time doing what everyone else does, when we should be doing things that people simply don't do. Which is why I rather enjoy the Ziost thread which you mentioned.

I feel like holding back on invasions. Inter-faction threads have been pretty bad the last few wars/skirmishes that have happened. We may want to isntead focus on doing some internal stuff, getting our ideas, no matter how crazy, out there. As others have mentioned, we exist in the weirdest parts of the galaxy. Let's get surreal. Let's deal with the crazy, lunatic fringe stuff.

I feel we are to closely associated with the sith and everyone treats unlike were sith IC and OOC I think we really need to differentiate ourselves better. I can't tell you how many threads we are referee to as sith or slaves of the sith serve st all that jazz ma tazz because spoilers.

I've said a lot here, but I'll add one last thing; the way I see it, we have two options for success. We can try and massively expand, which I'm how that'll turn out, to be honest. New members are always going to be drawn to the One Sith. Or, we can try and keep up with, and try and become, more of a tight knit, isolationist faction. Me personally, I think the second would be better. There are quite a few people who seem to consider the Prime just sort of a faction they're in because...well, the One Sith are our friends...

Personally I look to the LotF for creative ideas. While they were darkside, they didn't just take the Sith approach and slaughter everyone. We had dozens of factions threads ranging from bars, to friendly competition, to I believe a game of hide and seek at one point. We do not need to be zealots; instead be the Prime. Make a name for ourselves as a faction that helps newcomers, maintains OOC conversation, and is overall enjoyable.

One of my points I would like to make, not as a boast, but as a point, is no one seems to jump at the idea of helping another really. Sure when there's something for them in it. However, if we attempted more openness, as i strive for when someone asks for help witb such and such project, newcomers would feel more welcome knowing that so many people will take leaps and bounds to come to their assistance.

All in all, role playing with a change in mindset is what I think the faction needs.
