M E M O R Y
It has been a year since the last news update, and it was a long and arduous one at that. Allies and enemies alike have fallen in this period, but the First Order has reigned supreme in the end. After a multitude of invasions, skirmishes, and faction threads - our friends in the Galactic Alliance have finally decided to admit defeat in the adversity like their predecessors before them. The board-wide Great Galactic War is over, and with it are many changes that will affect the First Order and beyond.
[member="Rolf Amsel"], [member="Ara Zambrano"], and [member="Samka Derith"] have all stepped down after serving the Order dutifully for more than a year. In their stead, [member="The Major"] has been voted faction owner, while [member="A'sharad Graush"] and [member="Madelyn Lowe"] have both ascended to admin. Concurrent to this change in staff, the Galactic Empire has elected to merge into the First Order for both in-character and out-of-character reasons, with [member="Tanomas Graf"] and [member="Natasi Fortan"] being appointed moderator to assist with this relocation and furthering faction lore.
Faction Story Arc
After the daring attack on Lothal's Jedi Temple by Sieger Ren himself, the Supreme Leader has disappeared along with nearly all of the high-ranking members of the Order of Ren. Despite this highest echelon’s tendency to operate away from public view some have come forward, either out of egoism or concern, to boldly claim that Sieger has vanished. As the ramifications of such claims broils the various inner cliques and ideologies of government compete within to accrue more influence. Elsewhere the migration of an extensive part of the former Galactic Empire’s forces and citizenry put a further strain on the economy. Despite this strain, the First Order now enjoys the use of a navy far larger than ever before, and has begun to use this newfound resource to help persuade the locals left behind by the Alliance. Meanwhile, along the border of the Outer Rim Coalition tensions rise as the First Order continues to parade about nearby systems without any concern for the galaxy’s other major governments -potentially sowing the seed of disaster as more and more rebellious dissidents seek to undermine the glory of the order.
Now the First Order sits upon a crossroads as it determines its course in a galaxy teeming with dangers, its role and shape in the future depending on you.
