Designed for the Butterfly Corps, the FAE/A-06 Butterfly Gauntlets are built from the ground up for infantry specializing in space and aerial combat. To that end, the gauntlets borrow inspiration from their Mandalorian counterparts, fitting a number of weapon systems into a small form factor which can easily be brought to bear on a target. However, where the Mandalorian vambraces are designed to combat the abilities of a Jedi or a Sith, the Butterfly Gauntlets are built to meet the demands of high-speed aerial and space combat, specifically pertaining to dogfighting and close-quarters engagements. Taking advantage of the inherent flexibility of the typical organic body over that of a starfighter or airspeeder, the gauntlets are designed to maximize firepower and agility. However, while the gauntlets offer benefits, they do have weaknesses. The need to reload so many weapons can be an ever-present consideration and doing so can be quite risky in the midst of the demanding aerospace dogfights which Butterflies often find themselves in. In addition, Ion and EMP-based assaults can render the weapons unable to be used, as their triggers are electronic.
Nevertheless, the FAE/A-06 Butterfly Gauntlets are hoped to become a primary, workhorse system for the Butterflies, giving them a unique advantage over their enemies!

- Guns, guns, guns! - With hardpoints capable of mounting up to four weapons (not including the vibroblade and tractor pressor projector), the gauntlets put more firepower in the user's hands, affording them enhanced lethality, especially in close-quarters.
- Shock Fighter - Shock projectors in the gloves afford the user extra lethality in unarmed combat. They have a full lethal power setting that is capable of killing enemy soldiers via sheer electrical output, making the user dangerous even when seemingly unarmed.
- Personal Space - A hybrid tractor/pressor projector enhances the user’s ability to control the battlespace, giving them the option to repel a charging enemy via a pressor discharge or alternatively, to pull someone or something in closer via the tractor function. The possibilities offered by the tractor/pressor are nearly limitless, but the projector can be especially useful when utilized creatively!
- Reload - Unfortunately, having more weapons also means having more reloads to do when they run empty. While each of the mounted weapons can be reloaded individually, running out of ammunition in all of them at once could put the user in dangerous straits, especially during the high-speed, aerial engagements Butterflies often find themselves in.
- Mechu-deru - An unspoken weakness of virtually all modern technology, the gauntlets are vulnerable to the esoteric sorceries of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts could disable the gauntlets' systems to render the weapons unable to be fired entirely or worse, catastrophically explosive.
- Surge - The defense of the gauntlets against Ion/EMP-based assaults is ultimately based on the overall defenses of the armor hosting it. If it has meager or low-quality defenses, Ion/EMP-based assaults may easily overload the gauntlets, disabling them for some time, depending on the proximity and power quotient of the discharge.
