- Radiation Resistance - Designed with worst-case scenarios in mind, the FAE/A-09 provides the wearer formidable protection from the deleterious effects of radiation via integrated radiation shielding and agrinium reinforcement. In addition, in the event that protection fails or radiation levels soar beyond what the suit is optimized to handle, the suit has a number of emergency Elisinandrox injection ports which will automatically inject the medication into the wearer’s bloodstream.
- Air and Space Combat - Optimized and designed specifically to keep pilots, co-pilots, and gunners alive and lucid during high-G maneuvers in space and in atmosphere. In addition, it will also protect them from the dangers associated with radiation leaks, failing life support, and other hazards associated with starship-based combat in a vacuum environment.
- G Monster - The FAE/A-09 features a number of components and systems which are designed to help the pilot resist the deleterious effects of excessive gravitational force and pressure, both of which are typically felt when acceleration compensators are either malfunctioning or not operating at full efficiency.
- Ion and EMP Resistance - Constructed with an integrated de-ionizing system, the FAE/A-09 is very resistant to the effects of EMP/Ion discharges and electronic disruptions.
- Mentalism Resistance - Frequent uses of mentalism in modern fleet engagements has compelled First United Astral Engineering to integrate Force masks into their designs. The FAE/A-09 is no exception in this regard. As such, the suit is resistant to mentalist attacks, protecting the wearer. However, it should be noted that mentalism is the only aspect of the Force it has a true resistance to. The wearer can still be picked up and flung around by abilities the likes of telekinesis and acted upon by other direct manifestations of the Force.
- Lightsaber Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has poor resistance to lightsabers.
- Kinetic Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has poor resistance to kinetic-based threats, including slugthrowers, shrapnel, and vibroblades.
- Battle Meditation - While very capable of defending the wearer against mental attacks, the Force mask also makes it impossible for the wearer to benefit from the positive effects of battle meditation and other benevolent mental-based applications of the Force, unless it is deactivated or removed.
- Acids and Corrosive Materials - In addition to being ineffective in defending against conventional threats in infantry-based combat, the FAE/A-09 is also very susceptible to acid-based attacks.
- Sonic Attacks - The FAE/A-09 has very little resistance to sonic-based attacks.
Initially designed to be used by pilots in the Armada of the Agents of Chaos, the FAE/A-09 Anti-G Suit was Conceived after the Battle over Ryloth between the Agents of Chaos and the Confederacy of Independent Systems—two now-defunct galactic superpowers. The suit was designed while factoring in a number of hard lessons learned during the battle, which drew attention to the fact that much of the technology fielded by the Armada at the time was vulnerable to EMP and Ion discharges. As such, resistance to electromagnetic threats was one of the initial priorities for the suit, but not the only one.
In terms of design, the suit follows most basic principles for dedicated flight suits, including protection against high levels of gravitational force, radiation shielding, and vacuum protection. However, rather than using inflatable or water-filled bladders to generate pressure on the abdomen and legs, the suit uses pressors instead. In addition, the suit features an integrated Force Mask to shield the mind of the wearer from mental attack. However, this system can be removed or deactivated to accommodate a Force-sensitive operator or in the event that a non-Force-sensitive wearer seeks to benefit from a friendly application of battle meditation.
The updated version of the FAE/A-09 Anti-G Suit was made available to First United Astral Engineering’s clients, while also adding a G1 OmniLink, improved energy resistance, a more comprehensive biorestorative underlay, in addition to other additional features.
