The FAE/MT-01 Droid Medical-Surgical Suite is a comprehensive package of systems designed to equip a droid with the necessary skills and programming to serve across a wide range of medical roles. In this regarding, it is capable of turning most droids into medical specialists (i.e., turning an astromech into an astromedic). In particular, the suite contains a litany of medical sensors which are typically used for diagnostic and assessment purposes. - Prerequisite Classes - By itself, the FAE/MT-01 is not enough to immediately turn a droid into a full-fledged medical doctor or surgeon (unless the droid was already such prior to installation of the suite). Generally, the droid requires an advanced, sentient-capable droid brain to reach this stage, along with many hours of practice. Without the necessary droid brain, the suite will render the droid as little more than an extremely capable medical assistant or med-tech. Without the necessary experience, a droid (presuming that the droid possesses the requisite cognitive unit) with this suite freshly installed might be more equivalent to a resident doctor or physician assistant.
