OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Taking after the FAE/S-04 Small Craft Support and Survival Suite, the FAE/S-06 Vehicle Utility and Support Suite fills much of the same needs in being a standard suite of technologies which offer additional utility, support, and safety to the pilot(s) and operator(s) of the host vehicle. In this case, the FAE/S-06 includes a suite of sensors with an attached targeting system, utility shields, life support measures, safety systems, and other technologies. Naturally, like many First United Astral Engineering designs, virtually all of these systems are modular, featuring adjustable settings and alterations depending on the needs of the operator(s) or the situation at hand.
All in all, the FAE/S-06 is hoped to be a landmark suite for First United Astral Engineering’s fleet of vehicles, allowing the company to refit their existing designs and create new ones with style and efficiency.

Capable of drawing on separate power sources in order to retain operation even when combat systems are degraded or overloaded. Capable of drawing on separate power sources in order to retain operation even when combat systems are degraded or overloaded.
- Concussion Shield - Designed for crash protection. Projected in the cockpit or around the entire craft in open cabin vehicles, to protect against debris, turbulence, Etc. The shield may also be shaped to enhance aerodynamics. Not rated to withstand kinetic weaponry, but is capable of drawing on separate power sources in order to retain operation even when combat systems are degraded or overloaded.

- Underwater - Provided that the host vehicle has a closed cabin, the FAE/S-06 allows it to traverse underwater, due to the hydrostatic field and advanced life support systems.
- Utility - Incorporating sensors, safety systems, and various other utility features, the FAE/S-06 is an all-in-one package for combat vehicle platforms, designed to enhance their reliability and safety in the field.
- Keeping A Secret - While unable to hide the host vehicle itself from scanner or sensor detection, the scanner-blocking field does conceal the nature of the vehicle’s pilot, cargo, armament, and internal systems, making it more difficult for enemy units to gauge its capabilities.
- Surge - The defense of the FAE/S-06 against Ion/EMP-based assaults is ultimately based on the overall defenses of the host vehicle. If the host craft has meager or low-quality defenses, Ion/EMP-based assaults may easily overload the FAE/S-06, disabling it for some time, depending on the proximity and power quotient of the discharge.
- One or the Other - Unfortunately, the FAE/S-06 is unable to simultaneously accommodate the differing life support needs of two individuals from different species that breathe different gases, forcing one to don a breath mask and/or an environmental suit.
- Glass Utility - The systems in the FAE/S-06 are geared towards safety and utility, rather than outright defense. None of the utility shields are rated for stopping incoming fire, meaning that the host craft must rely on its defensive systems and shields (If present) for this purpose.
