Size: Large
Wealth: Average to Wealthy
Population Density: Medium High
Demographics:
76% Human
9% Twi'lek
7% Zelton
6% Zabrak
2% Mon Calamari
Surface: Surface
Geography: Fairview Heights is wide and open, with skyscrapers as well as open spaces to admire the view towards Skyhold in the distance. A center for commerce and entertainment of the corporate heart of the Empire, there is much to see and go in and around Fairview Heights.
Air Quality: Good
Points of Interest:
The Imperial Opera
Iralia Citizenship Centre
The Needle (a tall crystalline tower usually lit with festive colors to please His Excellency)
The Imperial Museum of History
Hearts of Mercy Hospital
Corporate headquarters skyscrapers (1.5 km tall)
Apartment buildings, wealthier near the center, and more middle class on the outskirts of the district where they border more of the slums.
Conform/Revolt: Conform, on the surface of course. The lights and glass of the corporate towers imply the strength of the Empire's economic might and their control of galactic business. However, there is much those caught in the middle between paradise and hell have to lose. Contempt breeds in the shadows for the oligarchs at the top of the food chain as the middle class loses more ground every day and the tensions rise for those fighting to maintain a place in Fairview Heights.
Description: Fairview is the last bastion of wealth and progress against the decline of society in the slums around the city, like Ardonia or the Black Hole. There is much to see and do, shopping centers, bars, and restaurants at street level cater to the executives who live and work in the towers. Further out from the center, apartment buildings are ringed with small green spaces for beautification of the city. The wide open squares offer views of the sky as well as the Skyhold district in the distance. In the older section, just a few blocks from the Needle, there sits the Imperial History Museum (which is required attendance for all school age children every year), the Imperial Opera and the best hospital in the city, Heart of Mercy.
History: Fairview is one of the older portions of the city and as such contains some points of interest that were at one time very popular with previous Emperors. Originally named Senecia, it had been the seat of power for several years. The Imperial Museum of History was at one time the official palace of past emperors, until a new one replaced it around a century ago. Heart of Mercy boasts the best medical staff in the Empire, save the Emperor's own physicians and was founded by Empress Hida 200 years before present. The Imperial Opera runs mainly propaganda pieces and holds a yearly ballet competition to showcase the accomplishments of Imperial rule. As the Empire grew and the Palace of Grace was built, the Emperors moved out of Senecia and it was renamed Fairview for it overlooked the new Imperial seat of power.
