Fallen Worlds

As Macar watched over the fallen former Jedi Temple she could only wish she had been there to help take it and take her revenge on the Jedi who had tried to hold it. Her mask did not hide the world as most might think it did. The black and silver Mask merely hid her from those not worthy to see what she hid. The Sith taking over this world was a victory but not a victory that silenced the Republic or it's paper thin promises of safety. it did not wipe clean the jedi from the galaxy or their own false promises of protection. For now she walked along the halls of the broken down temple each day as if hoping some wayward jedi had hidden themselves and would give her a foe to kill.

Maja was curious. She'd seen the Grey Order temple - purpose built and beautiful - and having tagged a ride with her sister, was able to take a look at what was once a stronghold of the Jedi but that now was the home of the Sith. Or rather the One Sith. Her limited knowledge of the subject was by definition scarce but what she had read so far about the history of the Dark-Side did not necessarily compute with hat she saw.

Those who were weak were to be disposed of, yes. But only if it served a purpose. It seemed too many saw cruelty as the goal, as opposed to a tool that was supposed to bring about the goal.

As she mused these thoughts and absent-mindedly ran her hands along the walls of the Temple, she lost her focus on where she was and without warning had walked right into someone.

[member="Maja Vern"] Ran into Shuduc the woman turned her hidden face looking to the person who just ran into them. "Will you watch where you are going?" She spoke annoyed slightly by the event. Looking the woman over she spoke again "Who are you?" She then waited her robes flowing with her movements as she watched through the force at the being next to her.

Maja looked the person up and down. "Who am I? Who are you to demand that of me? I think you'll find it was you that wasn't watching where you were going." She may be totally useless with the Force but it didn't stop Maja from picking a fight with literally anyone.

The tell-tale signs were there. Her fists were balled and her brow was borrowed.

[member="Maja Vern"] Would not see the annoyance in the face of her would be target, the woman simply stood arms folded as if awaiting to see what she'd do next, her own mind anticipating perhaps what she might do. Every movement was colored so brilliantly by her emotions reverberating through the force. When you saw through the force you saw peoples moods more often than not. This one was even more angtsy than herself.

Maja was in a poor mood. No, make that a bad mood - and she wasn't going to let any fool One Sith push her around. So she glared at...well, where she thought the person's eyes would be and refused o blink.

She balled her fists and her jaw jutted out. "I'm waiting..."

[member="Maja Vern"] "I am Shuduc Mcar and I do not answer to some rogue acolyte." She spoke with authority as she saw no indication this was a knight or master sith. She remained in control if ticked off.

Maja remained unmoving. This other person had backed down first but to immediately soften herself would be an admission of equality. And if Maja was learning anything about the Sith ways, it was that the strong reigned supreme.

She'd developed an odd view on death recently. Her own would simply be proof that she wasn't worthy, so she didn't fear it - not one bit. If she was strong, she would prevail. And she didn't care who she upset or who she fought.

"Why are you here? What do you seek?". Her voice remained calm but with an undercurrent of steel that suggested she was used to being answered.

[member="Maja Vern"] She frowned under her mask. "To see what I could find and know what so made the jedi weak and isolated to their petty box of ideologies. With the hope of not falling to their weakness myself." She spoke as if it were obvious and merely a matter of fact. her dark black robes flowed as she walked to look upon a sculpture of a jedi knight. No doubt some famed master long dead.

Maja smiled. Her limited knowledge of the Force and the Sith was predominantly through study and here was a conversation she felt comfortable engaging in.

"A Sith once said that their weakness is that they shackle themselves in chains of obedience. To their Council; to their Masters; to the Galactic Republic; to their Code. But above all they believe they must submit themselves to the Force. They think they are instruments of its will, and therefore become slaves to it. It will always be their weakness and can, of course, be exploited."

"Why, what have you learned?"

[member="Shuduc Macar"]

She nodded some true those had occurred. "That all is true but I think something else weakens the jedi, what it is I am unsure. I hoped to find out by seeing what they venerated in their great halls. What they taught or held important." She spoke turning to the other sith quietly. "I think they fail because their too focused on something but what that is eludes me as yet." Her tone held a sort of uncertainty namely at if she had missed an aspect of the jedi.

[ooc: Sorry for the delay [member="Maja Vern"] the invasion came and blew things up]

Maja shrugged. "They seem to have too many weaknesses to count. Their compassion, their holier than thou attitude, their obligation to save lives, their inability to use the Force without restricting themselves."

She looked at Shuduc. "So where have you been and where are you heading next?" Maja figured she might learn something if she tagged along.

(No worries - it happened to all of us)

She thought a moment then looked to [member="Maja Vern"] with that blank mask staring back at the woman. "I have been learning, I also have been facing my past. Where i am going well that is yet to be decided." She spoke calmly but in a way that said she was truly not sure where. "For now I move as needed to follow the path I have laid out before myself." The blank mask she wore made it hard to read anything but some subtle body language if Maja was good at that it'd tell her she'd been through something recently a life altering experience. "Why? I hardly imagine my comings and goings concern you?" Her words showed her caution regarding the lien of questioning.

Maja shrugged. It wasn't like they were a team or friends or anything, so the woman's decision not to share was reasonable - perhaps even sensible. But wandering around by herself was pointless, they'd surely learn more together.

"Yeah, OK, not my concern. Just I figured that whatever you were looking for would be quicker to find if there were two of us - that's all. So what do you say? Are you up for company?"

[member="Shuduc Macar"]

She pondered this, she may as well stick with another sith if nothing else it meant they were less likely to be offed by some hidden jedi someplace. Gods know they had a few who could do such tricks. "I suppose I could have worse companions on this brief trip. You may call me Shuduc." The Miraluka woman said. She looked over the woman she had the force flowing through her but not to the extent some did. Granted she also wasint trying so the look could be deceiving.
