Falling From Cloud 9

Kalyn was ready for this. She had a plan along with [member="Darth Vulkan"] and [member="Nox"] , they knew the objective, assassination. The target was F.S. Talyrand, playboy millionaire, a someone who had gotten on a particular persons bad side, and they wanted him dead. This was a bit of a high brow party, lots of people, she would need to be sneaky about this, as their employer did not want any evidence of this, so she would have to be careful. This was even more specifically a masquerade, making not being recognized that much easier. She had her droid with her, he would be useful for hacking things. Kalyn had a contact stash her gear inside the ship in case things go south, unlike her associate she was not force sensitive, and would not fare well in a combat situation with her stealth equipment. Kalyn would have to disable multiple security measures in order to do this successfully, and even then there were guards posted throughout the ship the Cloud 9. She had the skills to pull it off, and two sith made it that much easier, but there were so many unknowns it was like 1 step forward 1 step back.

The shuttle then docked to the ship, it would stay there as the getaway vehicle, but that was for later.
"You all ready." She said

Vulkan sat on the little shuttle going to this high end party where some target was. F.S. Talyrand had upset the wrong people and a sizeable bounty had landed on his head, eventually someone from Clan Vereen had taken the bait. That man didn't return alive and had fallen in the attempt. As with any other contract that was taken by a member of his clan, it would be fulfilled, as was honorable. The last deed of a family member would not go down in history as a failure, and so Vulkan took the contract himself.

The Sith Lord had met up with a fellow Mandalorian, one probably unaware of the depths of the power of the psychotic Sith Master. The gnawing in the back of his mind grew as the other presence scratched at the mental barriers that held it back. After the break out of Roche, Vulkan and Draco had taken shifts restraining the third personality, and the extended times of relaxation off away from Galactic Politics and planetary battle grounds had strengthened Vulkan's mental resolve against it, even if extreme use of the Dark Side tore down the barriers.

For now, Vulkan wore a three piece black suit with a black shirt and tie. It was a dark look, but with his dark hair and eyes he felt it went well, let him fit in with the high end crowd that would be at the party. In his jacket he had a Fett-Kal trench knife in a sheath, a Hold Out Blaster holstered beneath his armpit, and his lightsaber tucked inside the vest. He was going more incognito, but still really prepared. A small Dinu'ul was bolted to his left forearm, concealed beneath the jacket's sleeves. Right now he had his plus one, [member="Kalyn Tal'verda"] on his left as they were arriving. Vulkan wasn't worried about much, but for now he was just here to have fun and mingle, maybe cause a distraction for one of the girls to slip away and work towards actually killing this fool.

Ah, assassination. An old, classic work, and her personal favorite. A good old killing among high society might help to clear her head after her trysts with the Light, and to purge the recent traitorous thoughts that plagued her free time. She had arrived with [member="Darth Vulkan"] and [member="Kalyn Tal'verda"], prepared for a masquerade. She was draped in a golden dress that came to just below her knees, with a slit on the side to offer a glimpse of the skin beneath. Dressing in such colors was her own personal joke.
Hidden throughout her person were small blades, each strapped tight against her skin to avoid notice. She didn't put much stock in technology, preferring to get her hands dirty and stained with blood. Death dealing was her personal pleasure in life, and the Sith knew many ways to achieve it without the use of technology.
She walked slightly behind the others, her eyes searching and sizing up the place. Guarded, cameras, security systems. She had to have hope that one of her companions knew how to hack, or they might be in trouble. For now, she was content to blend in, lying in wait like a lioness stalking a herd of prey.

Kalyn motioned for the others to follow her, she was wearing a dress, made to be as standard as possible, almost unrecognizable, she liked it that way. Concealed on her was a combat knife, and a silenced slughrhrower, she also had a small computer system and a connectable dataspike to access the terminal. The main room was fairly busy, a bar off to the left of the dance floor, many people in here, Kalyn took a seat, she needed to wait for a break, even though this was a masquerade it had a sort of club scene atmosphere, very odd tastes this guy has, but no matter, she just ordered a water, waiting for her chance to break off and crack the systems, her droid was next to her, she would need him for the mission.

Vulkan dropped back, letting Kalyn take the lead into the party, preferring to walk with the gold dressed Sith girl. As much as Kalyn wanted to believe she was leading this mission, she was only leading as long as the other two allowed. For now, Vulkan was content to sit back, flirt and dance a bit with the other guests at this party. At the end of the day, Mind Control and illusions were his wheelhouse, he could cause distractions and what not if he really wanted. Dim lights, flashing colors, and the music made the room seem much less like a formal party, and much more like some playboy's attempt at his own private club with different theme nights. Tonight seemed to be Masquerade.

Vulkan slipped his arm around [member="Nox"] 's waist and surveyed the room quietly, "Hey there pretty lady," He said, flashing a smile still visible with the mask he wore. Vulkan was not nearly as conservative or cautious as Kalyn and thus he ordered alcohol. "Bar tender, I need a glass of bourbon, make it a triple, and my lady friend would like..." He trailed off allowing Nox to order for herself while he leaned against the bar beside her while the Mandalorian woman staked out the place. Vulkan was here to have fun, and that meant a night of drinking, mingling, and then finally, killing someone. Just because Honor demanded he complete the contract didn't mean he had to be a stickler about what he did while on the job.

Nox pretended not to notice as [member="Darth Vulkan"] drifted back to her. The Mandalorian in front of them interested her, but not beyond a purely professional level. One didn't contract a Sith Assassin for just anything, after all. So far, this particular mission had utilized her ability to blend in, and not much else. The woman had very little affinity with the Force, but the one thing she was good at was hiding. Her presence with the Force was nonexistent, her sickly yellow eyes beneath her mask now the only clue to her identity. Besides if you knew her face, of course; but few did, and those handful of individuals were far from here.

She barely reacted at first as the Mandalorian wrapped his hand around her waist, then remembered her role and sank into the hold. She may have been working, but there wasn't a rule that she couldn't have some fun while she killed someone. "It's been far too long since I've been at a party like this. I must say, if this wasn't business, I would spend all night here."
The huntress smiled and requested a simple champagne from the bartender, sipping it while her eyes roamed, taking note of all the guards, positions she could take, hiding places, side exits, and weapons. This place was well-guarded, but Nox was an assassin. This was her element.
"When this Talyrand comes out, we must lure him out of the main area. Killing him here would be fun, but would require cleanup and dispatching guards."
She observed to her companions, keeping a smile on her face. Her voice was quiet, just loud enough for both to hear. Any onlookers would simply think she was admiring the masquerade, not planning the death of the host.

Kalyn stood up, she needed to get to work, she stood up, the crowded nature of this area made it easy to slip by the main area into the other areas. The hallways were very lavish, marble floors, sleek black walls, with a shiny nature to it, very pretty. Kalyn was looking for a scomp link that her droid could slice into, he was more precise than she was, though he would need to offload some of the work onto Kalyn. She came upon a little maintenance alcove, which contained a scomp link, perfect. She got her droid to get to work, and hopefully he could pass off as a normal astromech and nothing else, she would wait to get a message back from her droid but for now she went back to the main area and walked up to her companions.
"I give us 10 minutes of free time before my droid is done." She said checking her watch.

Vulkan put on a half smile looking his arm candy over for a quick second. "Who says business can't be fun. I have no intention of being bored on this trip." Killing Talyrand would come at the end of the night most likely for Vulkan. Perhaps his companions would stick around after the initial getaway, but he doubted they would for long. Vulkan might as well make the most of the time he had. Vulkan was armed and dangerous, but truly it was the Force that was his greatest weapon tonight. The subtle scratching within his mind was still there, always present these days, but heavily restrained and didn't cause him any real discomfort for now. So long as the Dreadlord remain packed away carefully there shouldn't be any issues with their mission.

When Kalyn returned he frowned for a moment, "Ten minutes is hardly enough time for me, but I guess we will have to make due." He downed his drink in one big gulp and let its smooth burn run down his throat. A little alcohol didn't hurt anything and he was aware of his limitations before his will began to erode. He wasn't one to dance or socialize outside his small group, he preferred one on one conversations when in groups, in fact the only other party like this he had been to he had hated having others speak to him.

"Well, ten minutes to kill, what would you like to do before we kill this Talyrand fellow?" He asked the women standing to either side of him.

[member="Kalyn Tal'verda"] [member="Nox"]

"Well, i am personally going to have a quick drink while i help my droid crack a firewall." She said
Kalyn walked over to the bar, and pulled up her laptop and started helping her droid with the security system. Security was rather light, he should have hired a security professional for this, though this made the job easier for her. The dj was not that bad, but she was not hear to listen to the music, she was here to kill a man, nothing more nothing less. She planned to do her job well.
[member="Darth Vulkan"]

Vulkan frowned a little at his fellow Mandalorian, judging her work habits silently. "You should cut loose some." He finished off his glass and sat it down on the bar, letting the bartender refill it with the amber liquor he enjoyed. Vulkan spoke casually, as though he was making normal conversation for such a scene. The music was loud enough that only people right next to him could hear, and even then they would have to pay attention. "What would it hurt to have some fun while trying to kill someone." The bartender's eyes got a little wider as the big Mandalorian smirked. Quietly the Sith Lord pulled the bartender's memories of the passing moment from his mind and left him blinking in confusion. "Thanks mate."

"When is the last time you cut loose and had fun?" The Sith Lord asked as the bar tender moved away, shaking his head as though it was fuzzy. One person wasn't hard to mess with like that. "While on the job. Free time doesn't count for this question." He took another drink, lazily playing with the buttons on his suit. He had to keep the jacket buttoned or it would show off his blaster and knife, and that might cause a commotion. If a large group saw them, it wouldn't be so easy to wipe their memory, it would be much easier to fill the room with lightning, and then their quarry would escape, and without his full battle gear Vulkan was not interested in getting into a light fight.

Kalyn grabbed her glass of corellian whiskey and took a sip.
"Well in my opinion work is work, i dont have to work that often due to the high payroll of merc work, but when i do i would like the job to get finished before i get hammered." She said
She was not the type of person that messed around on someone else payroll, she did her work, and had fun when she was done simple. Her droid was about half way done at this point, good they would need to start prepping for the kill.

Vulkan raised his eyebrows momentarily, not surprised by the young mercenary's answer. So many of the young ones thought like that. He had for a while before becoming a lot more laid back. He sipped on the drink he was holding a little more, two fairly alcoholic drinks served in triples wasn't enough to put him down, but it would certainly add a little color to his cheeks. "I used to be like that. Separated the two a lot. Then I realized you could have fun and work at the same time. Once I discovered that gem I haven't really worked since."

The statement wasn't entirely true, he still very much had to focus on work occasionally. Routing the Republic on Roche hadn't been 'fun' but he had done it anyway and in the process claimed massive sections of the system. "But, I guess the after party will be poppin once we are finished if you wait." He swirled the glass as though he was bored with himself. In reality he was looking forward to a little bit of fighting and was internally processing the best, most enjoyable way to kill this Talyrand. There were so many options to pick from, but he was settling on draining the man's ability to think, down to the ability to breath and watch him choke on his own tongue as a vegetable.

Kalyn undestood what he said, but did not care really, she just wanted to get this mission done. As she thought this her droid found a major vulnerability in the security system allowing them to bypass almost every firewall in the system, perfect. She started putting in camera loops and deleting incriminating footage, and then she disabled the multitude of other security systems. She then ordered her droid back to the shuttle, as he was done .

Kalyn stood up and then tapped the sith lord on the shoulder.

"I think were good to go, ready to move when you are." She said

The Sith Lord stood and set the glass back down on the bar, "Lead the way then." His voice deep and melodic as he gestured for her to take the lead. He subtlety ensured his weapons were in their proper place and expanded his Force presence to fill the room as he walked behind the woman in the plain standard dress. So much more could have been done with that dress but she wore it fine.

Vulkan began slowly drawing power into himself, pulling on the intricate web of the Force, and letting the river of energy flow into him, filling him like a lake filled behind a damn. He kept close to her, making any who noticed them leaving believe they were leaving together. No one would pay any mind to a couple moving off the main room together. It had no doubt already happened a few times and would happen again as soon as they moved off and away.

[member="Kalyn Tal'verda"]

Kalyn walked with [member="Darth Vulkan"], tapping on her datapad attempting to find Mr. Talyrand on the cctv footage. By the time she got out of the main room she had found him, he was in a sort of V.I.P room, it was protected by two bouncers, and there were many people in that room, and a quick background check with R7 confirmed many of them had less than clean criminal records, she wouldn't have to kill innocents. Her plan was simple stab the bouncers then walk in and shoot them up. She passed the datapad to Vulkan.

"He is in some sort of v.i.p room, lightly guarded for some reason, kill the bouncers, kill the target, leave. Simple enough." She said.

"Or... or... or, we could have the bouncer's kill him." Vulkan produced a small number of tiny droids from a pocket, about the size of a quarter, little pincers clicking. "Mindshackle droids. Kill the guards, attach this little devils to them, and let them walk in and tear him to shreds. It'll look like his own people turned on him, because we can just have the guards walk us out when we are done. We get off free and clear."

His plan was brutal, and fairly sound. Alternatively with significant effort, he could make the whole room go mad and attack each other until there was nothing left but scraps. He presumed that his companion wasn't in the mood for something so grotesque, but, he'd misjudged people before.

Eitherway, he followed her down the corridor, using his Force Sense to keep track of those in their vicinity, letting Kalyn lead the way.

[member="Kalyn Tal'verda"]

"Why my friend that sounds like a perfect plan." She said

Kalyn continued to lead towards the room, checking surveillance cameras at regular intervals along the way in order to check to see if anyone was coming. Luckily she had alrady bypassed the mainline to the security room with camera loops, and bypassed the real footage to her datapad. Nobody could see them. Best part about being a slicer is that you never had to deal with physical security, find one weakness in the system and you can do anything you damn well please.

Kalyn came up on the corner right before the vip rooms, she took cover behind the corner, so they wouldnt be seen.

"What is your plan, shoot them in the face, or be a bit stealthier and stab them, your pick." She whispered to her companion
