APPEARANCE:
Typical to a Pau'an, Falun appears gaunt, slender, and tall. He dresses in traditional Utapese clothing; think and high-collared. The visage can be intimidating to some, but there's no need for fear. Falun is not outwardly hostile or violent in public. Privately, the situation changes.
Years on Coruscant have endowed him with something of an accent, noticeable in his soft-spoken voice.
BIOGRAPHY:
EARLY LIFEThe Shah family had largely operated as dynastic rulers of Rushan, an Utapese sinkhole-city-state, for generations. Gdele Shah, the patriarch of the family, earned his riches in the ore trade utilizing Utai slave labor. His amassed wealth and political influence earned him a life of luxury. He was granted a prominent position on the Utapauan Committee for services rendered - cementing his status on the world.
Falun Shah was the 37th child fathered by Gdele, born to one of his many wives. The boy showed early signs of social disorders that were overshadowed by the needs of his various siblings. Just as evident, though, were the indicators of his advanced intellect. Falun could read, reason, and do advanced mathematics at a young age.
Privilege afforded him access to the finest academies on the planet. He excelled in these environments and studied mathematics as a focus. After graduating from tertiary education, Falun was installed as the accountant at Rushan where he established himself as a capable figure.
CORUSCANT UNIVERSITY
Falun spent thirty years as the Rushan accountant. He had earned a great deal of his own personal money during this span, but decided that the job was neither challenging nor rewarding enough. There simply was not enough on Utapau to warrant his staying.
He was accepted for more schooling into a prestigious college at the galaxy-renowned University of Coruscant to further study mathematics. Again, his dizzying ability to calculate numbers and understand complex formulas carried him through his formal education. Falun graduated early, but stayed at the university.
Professors and intellectuals at the university enlisted Falun to co-author works on chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and a variety of other subjects with need of his abilities. He even published some of his own work on abstract and hypothetical mathematics.
With credibility established, Falun Shah was instated as a permanent employee of the Coruscant University. His new position gave him the opportunity to test the limits of his mind in a competitive setting. Slowly, his network of scientists and intellectuals grew to be quite impressive. He could regularly be found at dinner with some of the greatest minds in the galaxy.
His first dabbles into the concept of the Force occurred during this time period. To Falun, the Force was something just as tangible as any object. Its secrets simply needed to be unlocked through the numbers and laws that all things obeyed.
He too could understand and utilize the Force via mathematics. It became a key to his understanding of the concept.
Interaction with certain individuals at Coruscant University sparked his interest in galactic history. History too was a numbers game. It made sense to him. His fascination was peaked by the dark and often glanced-over history of the ancient Sith. Societies at the university dedicated to its study counted Falun among their ranks.
