The Unyielding Flame
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Forged atop the ruins of an ancient Sith sanctuary and pre-dating galactic Sith history, Fanghelm Citadel was rediscovered by the first Alpha of the Iron Howl during a blood pilgrimage across the Ashen Maw. Legends say it was built by flame-bound acolytes and carved from obsidian in servitude to a forgotten god-beast known as The Maw.
The Chapter reforged the site with scavenged starship hulls, Sarrassian iron, and dark Sith alchemy. It became not only their fortress but a crucible of their culture—where every brother or sister of the Howl must prove themselves in ritual and war. Many crusades have been launched from its volcanic gates, its bell-tolling howls preceding terror across the stars.
In modern times, Fanghelm is both a beacon and a warning: a place of worship, warcraft, and unbroken oaths. It stands not for defense, but as the eternal hunting ground of the Howl's fury.
- Intent: To submit the primary stronghold and military bastion of the Iron Howl Chapter, serving as a narrative and strategic centerpiece for faction-based roleplay, lore development, and character progression.

- Base Name: Fanghelm Citadel
- Classification: Fortress-Bastion / Sith War Monastery / Eternalist Cathedral
- Location: Fangol (Frozen Volcanic World within the Outer Rim)
- Affiliation: The Iron Howl
- Population: Moderate (Highly concentrated martial order; population includes combatants, artificers, acolytes, and other support staff)
- Demographics: Predominantly human and near-human Force Sensitives, with scattered alien species inducted through blood-oath or conquest.
- Accessibility: Extremely remote and hostile; hidden within volcanic ridgelines on a desolate icy-choked world. Access requires knowledge of star-charts encrypted in Iron Howl codes. Guarded and sealed from orbital scans due to atmosphere; unauthorized entry triggers kill-drones and volcanic seismic traps.
- Description: Fanghelm Citadel is a grim and monolithic war-keep carved into black cliffs above lava flows below the Ashen Maw volcano. Both spiritual sanctuary and forge-fortress, its obsidian spires pierce the eternal icy-ash-storms above while the molten Cinderforge burns at its core. A living monument to war, sacrifice, and the Eternal hunt.
- Iron Maw Gate: The fortress's primary entrance, shaped like a wolf's jaw. When opened, it emits a mechanical howl across the land—audible for kilometers. Said to echo through the Force.
- Hall of Kin: A grand memorial-chamber and sparring arena, where the metallic skulls of fallen Howlers line the walls. The Trials of Fang and Flame are conducted here in full ritual display.
- Cinderforge: The deep heart of Fanghelm, where Iron-Artificers forge weapons, armor and warbeast using volcanic plasma and ancient rites. Infused with Sith alchemy, former Howler souls and beast-blood, each item carries the spirit of the forge.
- Fanghelm Keep: The war-council sanctum. Overlooks the world through stained obsidian windows, with a domed ceiling marked by stellar constellations—each one linked to victories or martyrdoms.
- Throne of Howls: Set at the apex of the Keep, this is the symbolic and spiritual seat of the Iron Howl's ruling Alpha—be they Pack Lord, Prime Artificer, or High Maw-Priest. The throne itself is less a chair and more a brutal monolith.
- Pit of Trials: A brutal arena of iron, ash, and blood. This is where initiates and oathbreakers alike are tested—by combat, ordeal, or sacrifice. Initiation Trials are conducted here.
- Wolf Pit: Doubles as a barracks and armory, where Howlers rest, recover and rearm. Each Howler has their own unique allotted space.
- The Lychden: Deep crypt-vaults where fallen Howlers rest, guarded by steel-clad sentinels and revenant spirits. Maw-Priests commune here through sacred bone and ash.
- The Fangspire: A tall spire used as both a communication relay that pierces the storm and initiation chamber. Warriors ascend it during their rite of passage to face the storm alone.
- Security Rating: Maximum
- Defensive Assets:
