DESCRIPTION:
Like all Jenets, Farran wears clothing, both to fit into larger society and to make a fashion statement. In his case, however, his fashion statement is his disgrace. He has no flashy fabrics, no flamboyant colors, but simply a plain tan tunic and gray pants. He wears a brown belt around his waist. When he anticipates combat, he tucks his battle-axe into that belt.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Force Sensitivity: Farran's Force sensitivity manifests itself as a heightened sense of danger and unconscious precognition.
+ Natural Abilities: Farran, as a Jenet, is skilled at running, climbing, swimming, and fitting through extremely narrow spaces (in his case, spaces as wide as merely 13 centimeters). Like all Jenets, he has an eidetic memory.
+ Combat Abilities: For ten years, starting at the age of maturity (9 standard years), Farran led a series of campaigns against the tree goblins (the Danchaf) on Garban, personally killing eighty-three. These experiences taught him effective use of vibroweapons, knives, and his natural claws in combat.
+ Espionage Training: Since leaving Garban, Farran has been trained as a spy, which supplemented his natural abilities in that regard. He was also trained as a pilot, both of in-atmosphere vehicles such as swoop and speeder bikes and starfighters.
+ Meticulous: Farran is very detail-oriented; he does not let anything escape his notice, and he works tirelessly to ensure that all his objectives are completed to the letter.
- Blaster Ineptitude: Farran's aim is inaccurate and his ability with blasters is poor. He is better in a starfighter, but still not reliable with any ranged weapon.
- Obsessive-Compulsive: Throughout his life, but especially since departing Garban, Farran has exhibited signs of obsessive-compulsive disorder, even compared with the baseline Jenet. This manifests itself as an obsession with details, accuracy, the obnoxious correction of trivial mistakes, and the occasional behavioral quirk.
- Frail: Farran is a strong and able Jenet, but he is still a Jenet; compared to humanoid and larger species, Farran's bones may be easily broken.
- Addiction: Farran has a mild (but worsening) addiction to the hallucinogen yarrock. The drug boosts his confidence and focuses his concentration; when he goes without it for more than thirty-six hours, he develops symptoms of paranoia, depression, and muscle spasms, and he becomes easily distracted. The necessary time period between use and withdrawal is gradually shortening.
- Exile: As a disgraced former hero, Farran has been banned from his homeworld and from societies of his own people on colony worlds. He is typically homesick and lonely, since Jenets naturally prefer their own kind.
SHIP:
Danchaf, a Z-95 Headhunter modified to include a hyperdrive
EQUIPMENT:
- Battle-axe: A short-handled battle-axe made from a very strong metal, albeit still prone to lightsabers. Both the haft and the head are made of this metal.
- Hidden crate of yarrock: A crate sequestered in the storage compartment of his Z-95, the Danchaf, about half-full of plastene packets of yarrock.
During his youth, Farran Coiro led a number of assaults on Danchaf territory on his homeworld of Garban. Though the Danchaf had long since been weakened as the Jenets grew, the Gulag Virus culled enough of the Jenet population that there was a resurgence among their ancient enemy. In the wake of the Gulag Virus, and once again threatened by creatures they innately feared, the Jenets needed a hero. Farran Coiro, an unknown with no appendage to his name, took up an axe and led nine brave Jenets into the forests of Garban, where they slew dozens of Danchaf. When the battles were over and Jenet society was once again able to settle down, Farran was put on the fast track to becoming the new Premier.
The complex election process took longer than any non-Jenet might expect. Meanwhile, an accusation was brought against Farran which cast him in a very negative light; the exact details of this accusation are not known, but his name, once Farran Coiro, Heroic Slayer of the Danchaf, was quickly changed to Farran Coiro, Disgraced Heroic Slayer of the Danchaf. Less than a year after that, he was exiled, and his name was changed again to include his latest status.
Since that time, Farran has sold his memory to the highest bidder. He briefly worked for the Hutt Cartel, observing meetings with employees and clients; he worked for a smuggling organization, keeping track of hauls, shipments, crates, and contents; most recently, he worked for the Republic as a spy, keeping a wary eye on suspected enemies of state and reporting on their movements, conversations, and activities, leading to several arrests. Rumor suggests that Farran may also have been employed in the elimination of certain targets by various groups. Farran himself has not dispelled these rumors, which implies (at least to other Jenets) that they are true.
He is currently available for hire, and he has not been known to turn away any employer.
