CORUSCANT | UPPER LEVELS

What was supposed to be a simple delivery job quickly turned into a chase through Coruscant's upper levels, with Yuri's jetpack screaming along with the wails of the police cruisers flying after him. Blaster bolts tore through the air, with a few bouncing off his armour as he held steady to fire back. He knew what caused the pursuit to begin with, but it still didn't make a lick of sense to him. One permit for ferrying medical spice was fine, but the other permit cancelled that out, which meant illegal possession and distribution of a regulated substance... but filing for a certain pass prevented all of that, and in turn that pass was outdated, which voided the whole setup. Adding in the rest simply broke his brain.

Regardless, he needed to shake Coruscant's Finest and get back to his ship, which will need a fine payment due to him possessing illegally legal substances. He needed a drink and a lawyer to explain this mess to him. And maybe a yard manager as well as traffic control. With a groan, he yanked himself into the oncoming traffic, momentarily slowing his pursuers, before he finally dipped into an alley and touched down to avoid the flak of flying through a sidewalk. He knew that he needed to hide and wait for the storm to blow over, the cops and patrol droids would be crawling the whole district in search of him.

The Mandalorian stumbled across a number of shops, none of them fit for hiding. Too small or too open. That was until he took note of what seemed to be a very nice tailor. That would at least have some nooks and crannies for him to fit in for a bit.

The door slid open and the Shistavanen stumbled in, hurriedly holstering his pistol as he approached the receptionist. "Hey, uh... I'd, uh... like to... um..." He paused with his fabricated excuse for barging in when he spotted some of the prices. It left him speechless as he scrambled to think of a new excuse, completely missing the sign mentioning something about hiring models...

The receptionist, a human girl with short pink hair, looked up to the Mandalorian with a confused look.

"Do you have an appointment?"
Was her first question. "I unfortunately believe we're-"

"A mandalorian!"
A voice from the back came, teeming with...personality. "Ve have not seen one of your kind in many years!" From behind Kim, a gungan in a comically oversized fur coat, wearing a hat that nearly got caught in-between the door frame, and sporting a curly set of whiskers that seemed to mimic a mustache, walked through the door and looked Yuri up and down. "...yes, you'll do. Kim, ve don't need dat Zeltron. So last season. Now a mandalorian! dat is new! Fresh! Exciting!"

"...yes sir." She sighed, looking to Yuri. "What's your size?"

Hound from the Underground
He was about to make a remark before a new voice spoke up from further into the shop. A Gungan, of all things, dressed in a manner that reminded Yuri of some unsavoury characters he had both the pleasure and displeasure of dealing with in Underworld. "Oh, no... ya got the wrong idea, I-" He couldn't finish his sentence before the Gungan continued, simply blowing off another applicant to whatever he had planned in favour of hiring the Shistavanen.

"I'm not really-" He was once again cut off when the girl asked for his size. He had to stop himself from giving a rather inappropriate answer as he looked himself over. "I mean... medium... large, I guess? Depends on the fit." He answered awkwardly. What the hell did he step into this time? "Look, you guys... I ain't here for a job, I'm just here to..." No matter how much expression he had on his face, he came to the realisation that these people probably couldn't read a helmet like he was used to. He finally removed his helmet with a sigh to simply make communication easier.

"I'll level with you two... I just need to... well... I'm just here to browse! Please don't write whatever applicants you got off on my account." He insisted with a nervous look at the Gungan, though he had a bad feeling that the stranger already made up his mind... and if being a Mandalorian was already exotic enough, what the hell would being a mutt do to his odds of avoiding this situation?

It did stick in the back of his mind, though. He was sure that this was for some modelling gig. So that begged the question of how he would perform as a model for this eccentric Gungan. "Wait a second... you guys get Mandos who come through here?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "Couldn't blame 'em, though." He muttered to himself as he scanned the various fine materials lining the surroundings.

"Oh of course we do, lovely." Stomme smiled. "And nonsense! I mean, look at chou! Style, grace," He paused, pouting slighly. "Zee orange I could do wifout. Maybe a purple..." He smiled. "Come, come! Ve will measure you inside!"

Kim paused, looking guilty at the mandalorian. "Look, just...work with him. He's excitable, but he means well."

Hound from the Underground
Yuri blinked at the nickname, but elected to not draw any more attention to himself, at least for the moment. The Gungan's remark about the colour did earn a light shrug and a nod. "Purple wouldn't be too bad an idea, I gotta admit." He muttered, mostly to himself. He was going to play with the spray paint once he was out of this curious predicament.

The Gungan invited him along and his assistant, Kim, gave some words of encouragement. Yuri flashed her a nervous smile, but followed the Gungan regardless. The least he could do was make some cash to try and recover some profit from this botched delivery. "I take it I gotta lose the armour, right?" He asked as he set his jetpack aside. Piece by piece, the armour followed as well until a small heap of metal was stashed against a wall, out of the way for the moment. Whether it was the man's odd demeanour, or the general situation, Yuri felt rather exposed as he stood with nothing but his body glove on, waiting for more instructions from the Gungan.

"So, uh... how's this work, by the way? You need me to lose the body glove as well?" He asked rather hesitantly, carefully watching the Gungan to see what he was going to do. "Ya never introduced yourself, by the way." He continued.

"Oh nu nu nu. Ze Body Glove will be fine. Ve can work wiff it...." Stomme stared, bringing up his hands and creating an imaginary frame with his long fingers. "...yes, yes. Ve can definitely work with dis...Oh! Yes, I am ze great, ze vonderful, Stomme Kleine Kikker. Apologies, Ve often get...ahead of ourself."

"Um, boss, your 3 o clock is here." Kim called from the front. "Mrs. Noble?"

"Ah! Perfecto! Ve will put you two together! Come, into ze changing room! Ve have an idea!"

Yuri was rushed into the changing room, and presented with an outfit that Stomme looked rather proud of.

Meanwhile, the pink haired woman looked to Valery with a shy smile. "We had a new model show up today, I apologize. It was kinda sudden too. STomme saw a Mandalorian for the first time and just jumped on it. He should be out in a-"

"SEND HER BACK!" Stommed yelled, "Mrs. Noblé! I mean!"

"...I guess that's your cue. He's got a few designs he wanted to try out with you as well, once he's done tailoring your current one."

The subtle chime of the boutique's front doorbell rang as Valery Noble stepped inside, the sound barely audible above the hum of Coruscant's upper-level traffic outside. She paused for a moment to adjust to the shift in atmosphere — the elegant lighting, the faint aroma of fine fabrics, and the soothing ambient music playing softly overhead. Dressed in a sleek, tailored coat, with her hair styled loosely over one shoulder, Valery exuded effortless confidence as she entered the upscale establishment. Her amber eyes, however, carried their usual warmth, and a gentle smile graced her lips as she approached the front counter.

"Mrs. Noble, welcome!" the pink-haired assistant, Kim, greeted her with a bright smile, standing just behind the desk.

Valery returned the smile and nodded, "Thanks, Kim. Stomme said he-"

"SEND HER BACK! Mrs. Noblé! I mean!"

Valery chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Looks like he's eager," she remarked, her voice laced with amusement, "I'll be on my way."

As she entered the spacious changing room area, Valery was greeted by the sight of Stomme himself, his long fingers fluttering around like a conductor orchestrating a masterpiece. He was in the middle of positioning-

Wait.

"Yuri?"

Hound from the Underground
Yuri let out a quiet sigh of relief upon receiving the news. The Gungan went on to introduce himself and Yuri reciprocated. "Yuri Maji." He answered, moving along with the tailor's motions and orders. His assistant hollered from the front that another appointment had arrived. "Heh... boss." He muttered to himself with a smirk. After figuring that bit out about Gungan culture, it always drew a chuckle out of him.

"Mrs. Noble?"

The Shistavanen's heart sank and his eyes widened. No way in hell could she be here. Was this about the chase? No, it was an appointment... which meant that she likely didn't know about him or the chase. He wanted to gather his armour in the corner of the room, but he didn't get the chance before Stomme rushed him to a changing room along with an admittedly interesting outfit. Though he couldn't appreciate the outfit fully as a hurricane spun in his head.

She was here, he couldn't skirt around that fact. And after their last interaction in the forest, his emotional state regarding her was as chaotic as ever. He wrestled with his inner voice as he stripped out of his body glove and adorned the new outfit he was provided. After finally getting properly dressed, he took a quick second to check himself out in the mirror. Hopefully he could keep the outfit afterward.

He finally emerged from the changing room and met his aunt's gaze directly. "Hey, auntie." He spoke up with a mixture of emotions. "Fancy, uh... meetin' you here." He continued with a nervous smile. Yeah, it didn't look like she knew about the chase. At least he didn't have to worry about that for the moment. "Yo, Boss Kikker, what ya think?" He asked the tailor as he looked himself over and adjusted his jacket.

"Like a million credits." Stomme smiled, and artist proud of his work. "Zou can keep it if you want. Ve have ze original back in my studio. Walk around in it, Ve must see how it fits, and how it clashes with ze rest of ze world! How our art fits into ze colour pallet of society!"

Stomme however, was taken aback at the sudden revelation. "Auntie? Oh, zis is perfect then. Both of you, ve shall put you in a shoot together, nu?"

HAIuSyi.png
Valery's amber eyes flicked between Yuri and Stomme, a mixture of amusement and mild exasperation playing across her face. She crossed her arms lightly, her head tilting as she took in Yuri's new look. He cleaned up surprisingly well, though the nervous smile tugging at his lips was hard to miss.

"Hey, Auntie," Yuri said.

"Ah, zis is perfect then. Both of you, ve shall put you in a shoot together, nu?"

Valery chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Not by blood, Stomme," she clarified, her tone warm but firm. "I was close with his mother." Her eyes softened briefly, a flicker of nostalgia passing through them before she refocused on the present.

Turning back to Yuri, she gave him a quick once-over. "I've got to admit, you look sharp," she said, her smirk widening slightly. "But if we're doing a shoot, I can't exactly wear this, can I?" She gestured at her sleek jumpsuit, then shifted her attention to the flamboyant tailor.

"Stomme, what do you have in mind for me?" she asked, a playful edge to her voice.

Hound from the Underground
Yuri was rather pleasantly surprised that he could take the outfit home with him. He didn't know that Life Day came early this year, he was going to have to express his gracious thanks later to the Gungan... right now he had a more pressing concern with his aunt standing in front of him. Upon hearing the remark of their relationship, Yuri had a cool, amused smirk across his features as he eyed her. "Deathly close, you could say." He remarked. His eyes did not reflect the nonchalant expression he had.

She went on to comment on his appearance, this at least earned a click of his tongue as he gave the jacket a tug. "Oh please, have you seen me in my parade uniform? I'm practically glowing." He quipped with a shrug. Contrary to what he was feeling, he wasn't opposed to a photoshoot. His inner attention seeker was beaming with the opportunity to potentially end up all over the Holonet, this was one hell of an opportunity. He spared a glance at his equipment as a number of ideas and suggestions crept into his mind. He returned his gaze to Stomme as a grin took hold.

"Yo, Boss Kikker. You need some props, there's a whole suit of armour right there." He nodded to his pile of armour. "I'm sure ol' Auntie Val wouldn't be against busting her lightsaber out as well." He spared a sidelong glance and a toothy grin at Valery, this time with no malice or ill intent. He simply wanted to go over the top with ideas for this photoshoot.

"Oh, ve vill get to props in a zecond!"
Stomme smiled, leading them back to the changing room. "For ze lovely jedi, Ve have several options for zou today."

Stomme led Val into the changing room, several outfits already on the rack. He paused, looking to Yuri with a disapproving look. "Do not run off, or ve vill be very mad."

He then looked back to Val, smiling with that tailor's grin. "Virst off, ve have An Artizian Inspired outfit, for vhich also comes in Green if zhat is what you would prefer. Something spicy for ze husband, yes?" He teased, looking to Val with a wink. "Next, Something inspired by Miss Corazona. Ve vent by ze lovely Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania 's world recently, and" he stopped and made a chef's kiss. "Ze style of Ukatis, vonderful. And finally, Perhaps zomething a bit more your...speed, as zhey say. Ve thought about doing a jedi inspired outfit, but your order's traditional robes are...boring. Zo, we settled for zomething a bit more...stylized. You like, nu?"

HAIuSyi.png
Valery's eyes skimmed over the options Stomme presented, her lips curving into a small, amused smile at his theatrical flair. She gave each outfit a brief once-over, but her gaze lingered on the Ukatis-inspired ensemble. It was elegant without being overly flashy and aligned perfectly with Yuri's current attire. Plus, it felt dignified, carrying a regal air that suited the moment.

"This one," Valery said, her voice decisive but warm, as she reached out for the Ukatis outfit. "It fits the theme, I think," she added with a smirk, casting a teasing glance at Stomme. "Sorry, but the 'spicy' outfit will have to wait just a little longer."

She slipped into the changing room, and after a few moments, stepped back out, now adorned in the striking Ukatis design. The outfit hugged her form gracefully — a black, fitted corset-style top with delicate, off-the-shoulder white sleeves that gave the ensemble an air of both sophistication and strength. The corset was embroidered with subtle gold detailing, adding a refined contrast against the dark fabric.

The high-waisted pants, dark olive with laced sides, fit snugly and tucked neatly into knee-high boots with intricate gold accents along the cuffs. A finely crafted belt, adorned with small, ornamental charms, rested low on her hips, pulling the whole look together. The ensemble carried a balance of elegance and utility — fit for someone of Valery's stature.

She turned slightly, adjusting the small holster strapped to her thigh, "Well?" she asked, her amber eyes flicking between Yuri and Stomme as she rested one hand on her hip. "What do you think? Does it work for the shoot?"

Hound from the Underground
With Stomme's attention on his aunt for the moment, Yuri took a moment to peek through the window for any potential pursuers. Luckily he seemed to have shaken Coruscant's Finest for the moment. Breathing a sigh of relief, he helped himself a few pictures with his new outfit. Stomme had done him a big favour, the need for a proper, formal outfit was growing at a surprising rate with some of the locations he had visited recently. A floral shirt and shorts, or his ceremonial Mandalorian attire, wasn't going to cut it forever.

Valery soon emerged from the changing room and, he had to admit, she made the look work really well. However, the opportunity was there and he wasn't going to pass it up. With a shrug, he gently grasped his chin with his thumb as if carefully inspecting her appearance. "Not bad, auntie." He admitted, though a smirk quickly took hold. "Not bad at all, for an older girl." He followed immediately, locking eyes with her as his grin took on a more devious form.

He spared a glance at Stomme then back to his aunt. For the moment, at least, he didn't have ammunition to use on her, but that could quickly change. This was as good a time as he was going to get to mess with her a little. "Boss Kikker, you don't think a wide, cocked hat and a half-cape would add to the look?" He suggested, even if it wasn't going to go anywhere. "Could get a few Weequay extras if we wanna lean into it." He continued with a snicker.

"Vunderful darlings~"
He smiled, looking at the two. "A cape might help. Ve will have to draw up a modification..." He tapped his lips with one finger, "Things to think about. For now though! Ve must capture ze moment! Carpe Diem! Come! Come!" He pushed them both towards the back of the studio, to a sanitary white photo shoot area. Val had seen it before, the same white area she and Kahlil had taken their last photos. "Ze moment must not pass! Strike a pose, both of you!"

HAIuSyi.png
Valery raised an eyebrow, her amber eyes narrowing as Yuri's smirk deepened. His teasing struck a nerve, but it was the older girl comment that made her jaw tighten, though not without a glint of amusement in her gaze. She had heard plenty of jokes about her age over the years — none of them ever sticking, given how well she carried herself.

"No chance," she shot back, her voice laced with mock indignation as she crossed her arms and delivered a sharp, playful glare his way. "I'm not adding a cape, and definitely not some oversized hat." Her eyes narrowed further, leaning just slightly into her stance. "And for the record, Yuri, I look younger than you."

With that, Valery flicked her hair back over her shoulder, adding a dramatic edge before following Stomme's enthusiastic beckoning to the pristine white photo area. She had done this before, though under much different circumstances. Now, it was about having a little fun.

Once in position, she adjusted her stance, spreading her feet shoulder-width apart and resting one hand on her hip, the other casually draped near her thigh holster. Her chin lifted just slightly, accentuating her sharp, confident gaze that locked directly onto the camera.

"Like this?" she asked, her tone cool but playful, her pose exuding a balance of strength and elegance.

Hound from the Underground
Yuri snickered away at Valery's remarks and retorts. He only paused when she finally addressed him directly, though he wasn't even remotely concerned or bothered. "You said that twenty years ago, Auntie, gotta step up your game. Granny's even said so and she's blind as a bat." He continued, relishing the opportunity to poke fun at his aunt.

An action he didn't realize he missed so badly.

Still snickering, Yuri followed after his aunt to the shooting area. She didn't hesitate to strike a pose, though it was rather cliché for him. A generic pose, though he wasn't going to say that... for the moment.

The Shistavanen took up residence next to her and leaned slightly back. His right hand hovered close to his mouth while his cybernetic hand formed a two-fingered gun pointed at the camera. A toothy grin showed off his glimmering teeth while his tongue pressed up from behind. He made sure that his outfit was puffed up, clearly visible and neatly presented. "This good, boss?" He asked the Gungan, keeping his eye on the camera.

He had to hold in a chuckle as he spared a quick glance at Valery. "Kinda boring pose you got, don't ya think?" He muttered, just loud enough for her to hear. He had almost a decade of pestering and a justifiable grudge to catch up on and he was hell-bent on cashing in on it.

Stomme could feel the tension between them as they got into position and...

He loved it!

Such vibrant personality between the two, the calm but playful jedi grandmaster, and the snarky mandalorian. He could tell some sort of grudge was between them, but he wasn't going to be the one to quell it. He was a star maker, not a therapist.

"Both are good! Now, let me adjust ze camera...and..."

The flash filled the room, Stomme giving a thumbs up to the two. "More! Show me how much you love ze camera!"

HAIuSyi.png

Valery gave Yuri a sharp side-eye at his muttered jab, her smirk tilting into a playfully challenging grin. "Boring, huh?" she shot back under her breath, her tone sweet but dangerous. "Careful, Yuri. Keep talking, and I'll tell the interviewer here all your favorite childhood stories."

Her amber eyes sparkled with mischief as the camera's flash went off, and she shifted her pose dramatically in response to Stomme's enthusiastic call for more. Spinning slightly on her heel, she angled her body sideways, one hand on her hip and the other resting on the hilt of her lightsaber. She tilted her head just enough to shoot Yuri a confident smirk through the camera lens, her gaze practically daring him to keep up.

"Like this, Stomme?" she asked, her voice smooth but laced with playful arrogance. "Or do I need to dial it up even more to outshine a Mandalorian?"

Without missing a beat, she flicked her hair over her shoulder with theatrical flair, her pose exuding the perfect mix of power and sass. Valery wasn't going to let Yuri have all the fun — not when she had decades of experience in teasing back.

She glanced at Yuri, her grin widening. "Your move. Let's see if you can keep up."

Hound from the Underground
Yuri blinked a few times after the flash before sparing a sidelong glare at his aunt. A daring grin took hold as he gave a few small nods. "Stories, huh?" He remarked, waiting to see what new pose Valery had in mind. After finding her new pose -and issuing a challenge to him- Yuri finally decided on his next move.

Wagging a finger at her with a shake of his head, the Shistavanen walked around to her other side and placed his right hand on her shoulder. "Put that space magic to good use and tense that core up." His tone indicated that he wasn't asking. He turned his attention back to Stomme with a toothy smirk. "Finger on the trigger, boss." He spoke up and turned his attention back to his aunt.

He took a breath and jumped up with a slight grunt, pushing himself further up with his hand on her shoulder. His lanky stature came into play as he leaned back a little to balance more smoothly on his one hand, he even bent a knee to appear as if he was leaning against a table while taking some weight off his aunt's shoulder. The cherry on top of his flamboyantly athletic pose was his mechanical hand pulling open his jacket and a devilish smile meeting the camera. He made sure to challenge Valery through the lens of the camera with his eyes.

"I got a story or two as well, officer Noble." He muttered as he waited for the flash. Once the pictures were taken, he dropped back down and hooked an arm around Valery's neck. "Boss, you wanna get in on this? One for the record, as they say." He chuckled with a wave to invite Stomme over.
