Fate of the flagship thread

Since we have had difficulty with our own flagship thread, I believe that we have reached a point where consulting the remaining membership on the matter about what we hope to achieve out of it is necessary.

Perhaps [member="Reshmar"] or [member="Gir Quee"] could chime in on this but even if we do not use a flagship thread to build an actual flagship, even if we do not reach 400 posts with the requisite 7 authors, we can still use it as a dev thread for what could functionally serve as a flagship for us.

Option 1: 3000+ m flagship

• Requires 400+ posts
• Requires 7+ authors (some of which may not even have to be using GR characters so long as we have some GR authors active)
• Requires the resulting ship to be labeled Unique in production

Option 2: Sub-3000m heavy battlecruiser

• Requires 30+ posts
• Requires 3+ authors
• Does not require the resulting ship to be labeled Unique in production (can be semi-unique, or even limited but we cannot ICly afford minor, let alone mass production, even with the 4 companies contributing a share of it apiece)

We have some very nice pieces of tech and equipment we can use for constructing large ships.

Still yeah change it to a faction thread and lets make a large battle cruiser

I can bring in a Saratai and we can start producing if Gir brings some of his factory ships.

If I may make a suggestion, it might help to have an objective for others to do, rather than senate meetings and the like. I like how you're going about this, but there really isn't much for anyone who's not a senator to do on the Republic side. If there was, I'd wager that those of us who haven't posted would, or at least would be more likely to post.

Well i can only suggest that simply jumping and doing whatever you want isn't a bad idea.

For example my own [member="Bubba Da Hutt"] is just doing his own thing. At some point he might be transporting parts and pieces for this project. Or maybe smuggling spies in. He is a bit of a crime lord, just a laid back hutt doing the trucking thing :lol:

Also we could always use more Senators!

[member="Saran Drast"] Two new objectives are now added:

- Rumors of Mandalorian and/or One Sith spies related to the flagship project abound. Investigate the espionage allegations and, if found, dispose of the spies and their equipment.
- Ensure the security outside the Senate buildings as protests occur

These ones aren't phase-specific though. There is always "do your own thing" as a non-phase-specific objective.
