Freedom is an Illusion.
A trap that enslaves you over and over again.
Because one is always bound to the FATE of the choices one makes.

No matter the final choice Tamsin Graves makes all those who flocked to her were now bound by fate.

They all felt the pull to the slave auction in Bestine City Square, where a strange slave girl had been put up on the block. None really knew why they felt called to such a place, they just felt drawn to it. All seemed to have their motives for taking the actions they did but none asked if it was of their own free will or if Fate had decided for them already.

As they disembark from their respective journeys questions still remain and answers seem to be in low supply. Kaila, Tella, Laphisto and Tasmin disembark aboard the Masquerade some answers may come to light. As for the journey ahead for Spek, like the other he too will be hunted by Blougah the Hutt who is not happy in losing his investment. As well as the slavers guild of Bestine as their reputation was left in shambles from the actions of the journeyers and the Bestine city guard who were made to look like fools.

Bounties will go out for all of those involved, those three parties fitting the bill for the apprehension or death of the Journeyers. The slave girl wanted alive, so they can get their money out of her before killing her. Unaware a tracking chip in Tamsin's neck is activated. The fate of choices made and the consequences there in.

Now another choice must be made which path will Tasmin take or has fate already made it for her. In either case all the journeyers will see each other again among the stars fate has deemed it so.

Time to make the Choice, but the Omen's Shadow will still keep them all entwined in it's fate.

<<Good flying. I'll beam you coordinates soon>> Kaila spoke to Spek Zhio Spek Zhio through the force before letting her droid take control of the ship.

"Bring us to the nearest spaceport, keep us cloaked until we break atmosphere. The transponder was off during the escape, they won't recognize it at least. Just have to make sure we're not followed"

"Woop-woop!"

"Thank you Zero" Kaila hummed as she left the cockpit.

The central-most room of The Masquerade was somewhat crowded, it's circular structure now filled with five organic beings out of it's capacity for six individuals. There was a single sitting area consisting of a crescent-shaped couch built into the wall around a small holo-table that acted as everything from a tactical display or holo-gaming system to a dining table. In fact, a small wooden cup of unfinished tea still sat next to an old book. A paper book even, depicting force users long forgotten, who were neither jedi nor sith.

On one side of the room, there would be a door leading into a personal medical chamber complete with a bacta tank and even a surgical pod, in addition to a trio of Medical Probes, or at least probes who had the programming to heal, in addition to a variety of other services. This medical chamber had been carefully designed so that Kaila could tend to her own injuries while completely alone in the field, and so it would serve Laphisto Laphisto 's men aptly. One of the little droids had already sealed the wound on Kaila's leg even while she was dogfighting the Bestine security alongside The Halcyon. Beyond that, there was a small cargo hold that housed her Wheel-bike and a number of old artefacts suspended inside armored containers, and a lot of old holobooks on history, alchemy and force legends from various cultures. Finally, a narrow hall led to an egg-like meditation chamber within Kaila's small personal quarters, and a slightly larger room that hosted bunk beds for any passengers.

Small, but enough space to make a home out of.

And now she was hosting several strangers in it. She would give them a quick glance before finally pulling that helmet away, stowing it beneath her arm not unlike a soldier would. Hers was a surprisingly young face, even if older than Tamsin by several years. Silken hair fell over her shoulders, golden and wavy like a field of windswept grain, though her eyes were not unlike the harsh sun beating down upon it. They too were golden, fiery with the clear corruption of the dark side, glowing ever so slightly as they cautiously measured each individual.

She didn't like having so many strangers aboard, in fact she rarely ever hosted anyone aboard this ship. Even so, she had been oddly hospitable for a Sith, directing the Lilaste Orderlies to the medical chamber almost soon as they were aboard, and pointing out her stock of rations to both Tamsin and Tella Voland Tella Voland , both of which looked exhausted.

"I've instructed Zero to bring us somewhere we can rendezvous with the Lilaste" She began, deciding the best way to break the tension might be a situation report. Her voice was much softer now without the modulating interference, though it belied a subtle scratchiness in her throat, and was spoken in a distinctly Imperial accent.

"From there we can all go our separate ways, although I'd feel better if Tamsin had the help she needs. Either way, it's in her hands now. And should remain such"

"I disagree, Alcy. It's nice of her to provide some cover for us on her - frakking - stealth - ship! While she's out of harm's way! But I digress..." the pilot discussed with the ship's computer, while they were taking care of the rest of the fighters. "It's not like we were being tailed or anything! I know, I know, we could've taken care of them on our own. But this, at least, beats ghosting us en sortie, am I right? She likely helped us because we can't have those fighters tracking us. You're not stealthy, Alcy. Which reminds me..."

Finally punching in an escape vector out of the planet, Alcyone's automated flight was set and taking over. Spek then got up and rushed to the main hold, in order to inspect the damage there before they were spaceborne. There were some scorch marks near the ceiling but those were from some blown-up circuitry. Nothing was on fire. However, the hull had been pierced through, and Spek quickly grabbed an adhesive hull seal patch from a nearby cabinet and covered it. That would hold until they could properly fix the damage, provided he was not involved in another dogfight before then.

Returning to the flight cabin, he began to fully undress. Neatly placing his clothes on the pilot's seat as the ship's computer buzzed a question.
"I don't know. That's why I'm getting ready to astrogate.

"She did told us she'd sent us some coordinates in a bit. What? You think she'll ditch us, again? Well, that would be in character..."

After recent events, not least of all, this mind telepathy thing... At least it would be better than the alternative.
Which, intuition was telling him, involved some form of speech about the Force and fate and whatnot.

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Kaila Irons Kaila Irons Laphisto Laphisto Tella Voland Tella Voland

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
Laphisto walked out of the medical room his arms crossed over his chest with a small rumble pushing from his throat. The entire occasion on bestine was a disaster he had originally went there following a lead on a possible location of some old clone wars era ship that was floating around the sector. But now he was on the ship of a sith he had barely met some weeks prior, with a runaway slave and a member of the empire of the lost. With three casualties and a downed gunship.

With a soft sigh laphisto pushed himself forwards eyes narrowing as he addressed the group. His brow furrowed in a glair - or was he squinting? - he was on his way to speak when his commlink lit up he was getting a call from some one he haden spoken to in a very very long time and old acquaintance that he had only met a hand full of times a mandalorian bounty hunter by the name of Gon Fol as the holographic display lit up the man began to speak " it's been a long time since we last spoke vod. I just got word through my contacts in the guild, it seems a man matching your description has just had a bounty placed on Thier head. It seems you and your friends made quite the mess. Your all wanted by one of the hutts, figured I owed you from our debacle on serroco. I would try and lend a hand but I'm busy with other business so your hands are tied. Good luck and try to stay off the radar"

Laphisto frowned at the words giving a small acknowledgement of what was said as the comma cut before then turning his gaze out towards the others looking over Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves , Kaila Irons Kaila Irons and Tella Voland Tella Voland . If he could he would be giving the same glairish squint towards Spek Zhio Spek Zhio though there current whereabouts where unknown to him. Breaking the silence laphisto grasped at the bridge of his nose letting a loud audible sigh push past his lips. Speaking to no one in particular.

"I don't know who did it, but whoever brought that water tower down has essentially done more harm than good. Blind conviction to what one thinks is the right thing without even thinking of possible consequences is what leads to hardship."

His gaze continued to roll along the others as he spoke. His arms crossed over his chest as he rumbled softly to himself before continuing " countless lives were lost here today in the name of doing ' the right thing' " his words came out as a sharp hiss at the last couple of words

" I'm not mad I'm just disappointed. I would have expected more from you. More self control and overall critical thinking skills. Just because you do not agree with how things are done doesn't give you the right to step in with your self righteousness and fix the wrongs without thinking things through." While he spoke to no one in particular he was searching everyone in the room to how they acted trying to see who looked the most guilty.

" Now instead of being free through having Thier freedom purchased with no repercussions all of us including Tamsin are wanted. And by the sounds of things by some very powerful people."

Laphisto spoke not out of anger or frustration but with a soft disappointed tone to his voice. Almost like a scolding parent " I lost three of my own people, civilians were caught in the cross fire, town guards killed doing their job. Guards who could have had families. Children and wives, who are now widows and orphans because you thought you did the right thing. Because you felt you had to act in the name of justice instead of doing things the smart way ."

A soft scoff exited laphistos throat as he simply turned to go back into the medical room where Tarian and keldan were before muttering softly to himself though stopping in his tracks to look at kaila ", I owe you one for the extraction."

Tamsin was seated at the crescent-shaped couch on the holo table in front of her sat the remnants of the cuffs that had once bound her hands. She stared at the remains of the cuffs sitting in front of her as a medical droid tended to her broken thumb and other scrapes and bruises, she had picked up in their escape. The world around her seemed to blur away as she looked at the cuffs, thinking about how the day had unfolded. It was really the first time she got to sit and think, realizing this wasn't some dream she was going to wake up from.

The others were in heavy conversation, Laphisto Laphisto and his men getting attended to medically. Their words merely mumbles in her head. This was all done for her, the question still remained as to why, why her and not all the others. Even if she was force sensitive or special as the others had said, she didn't feel special. Even if she was some cosmic entity there was no way she could repay any of these people.

She reached into her dress and pulled out the blaster she had confiscated on the roof dropped by one of the city guards. She sat it next to the cuffs then she pulled out the credits sticks Kaila had tossed at the inn keeper who tossed them at her feet. She again set them next to the cuffs and finally she pulled out the last thing she had taken from the inn before making her way to this ship and her freedom. She rolled the small cube shaped object between her fingers and eyed the bots on each side of it. It was a chance cube, something that decided the fate of so many gamblers.

She looked towards the other's the man in green armor trying to figure out where this all started in aggravated rant. She also noticed Kaila Irons Kaila Irons with her helmet off at this time, her blonde hair and golden eyes, a striking view one would almost think they were looking on an angel but there was a noticeable corruption to it. She looked to Tella Voland Tella Voland who was noticeably silent. She then turned to the chance cube and held it between her index and thumb fingers.

"It was me." She said, answering Laphisto's question as to who the culprit was. "I am a bad omen and always have been." She had all her life had strange and often times bad things happen around her. Chaos incarnate Blougah had labeled her, more trouble than she might be worth when he finally sold her. Now he would never know her true wealth and if those words were true or not. "I thank you all but also, I am sorry for the trouble I have caused you all. Once we find a place to land, I will roll this dice." She held it up so they all could see it showing them all six sides of it. "One side I go with you." She pointed to Laphisto Laphisto and showed a green symbol on the dice of a tree. "One side I go with you." She pointed to Tella Voland Tella Voland and a grey symbol on it of the wind blowing. "One side I go with you." She pointed to Kaila Irons Kaila Irons showing a red symbol with fire on it. "Then this side." She showed it to them a blank side of the dice. "I go it a lone into the unknown to make it on my own." Then she showed the fifth side of the dice, it was black with a skull and crossbones on it. "This one, you take me back, use me to buy your freedom." Then there was the sixth side blue in color depicting waves but she did not yet have an answer for what that one might be just yet. "We let fate decide."

"I won't shed a tear for lives lost participating in that rotten slave economy," she began, seemingly ignorant of the fact that the town guard Laphisto Laphisto spoke of were not unlike herself, simply doing their duty, perhaps for the good of their loved ones, as she often had.

"However... I certainly agree that there were better methods available. Something more," she narrowed her eyes on Tella Voland Tella Voland for but a moment.

"...subtle."

Kaila spent a moment in thought as the dragon turned away, unsure if she should simply throw the Jedi under the proverbial hover-bus or save her potentially wrath-inducing theory in the event that the jedi tried to do the same.

She chose the latter.

", I owe you one for the extraction."

"Few would tempt fate by openly admitting this to a sith, Lilaste" she said with a wry smile.

Though she never specified whether or not she'd hold him to it.

On the topic of fate however, the one who'd brought them all here soon entered the conversation.

"It was me." She said, answering Laphisto's question as to who the culprit was. "I am a bad omen and always have been."

"...you shouldn't say that."

Kaila remembered well what it felt like when she were that age, plunged into a world she did not understand by the The Force, and those who discovered her connection to it. She'd spent many a night pondering if she were cursed, if there was something wrong with her, if she were being punished for something she'd done, but been left unable to remember by her injuries.

Until one day, Epiphany.

The force wasn't punishing anyone, because the force did not care. It was not a benevolent will, and in fact it was quite evil in that it allowed these things to happen in utter apathy. She wasn't the problem, she wasn't cursed.

The whole world was.

All were slaves to the will, for it meddled in their fates for some unknown gain of it's own, uncaring for the destruction left in it's wake. Perhaps, if Tamsin would allow, she would teach her this. She could overcome her self loathing and by directing it somewhere more beneficial.

The world that wronged her. The living force itself.

"This one, you take me back, use me to buy your freedom." Then there was the sixth side blue in color depicting waves but she did not yet have an answer for what that one might be just yet. "We let fate decide."

"What?" she blinked.

"Do you... do you not see the opportunity before you? To escape a fate not of your choosing?" she stammered in utter shock, stepping forward.

"I promised I'd not take the choice from you, but please, I must caution you against trusting fate! Fate made you a slave. It is not a thing one should surrender to."

Spek preferred to meditate on either cargo bay, the cold alusteel floor - paired with a broken climate control - and the humming mantra of the nearby drives helped him achieve total focus. This time, however, he was forward, sitting cross-legged on the floor of the starboard hold. The ship's main lounge where the tiny hull rupture was patched. For once, the heat escaped better into the vacuum of hyperspace from there, due to the aforementioned impromptu repairs but also, there was no room anywhere on the cargo bays due to an excess of unsold moisture vaporators.

The tension on an unseen string loosened and a knot came undone. His heartbeat accelerated, yet was still well below the resting frequency of a typical humanoid his size. Like a shimmering cord on his mind, their destination revealed itself. Touch, smell, cold, gradually seeped in and, when he finally opened his eyelids, the cabin's bright lights seemed dim in comparison.

Unlike his, the other ship - and same as most any other - had a working navicomputer. So they would have no trouble jumping through the Triellus Trade Route these two or so parsecs away from the Tatoo System. Further away from Hutt Space along the hyperlane, and heading towards the very border of the Arkanis Sector to meet with the well-traveled and reliable Corellian Run. But first, they would have to step into the Regency Worlds, and Kemal Station was the perfect rest stop to debrief and refuel.

Not to say that the lack of an astrogation apparatus caused Spek Zhio any hindrance.

Getting up and supporting himself with a hand against the upholstery,
"Alcy. You can jump out in the next five hundred klicks," give or take a few dozen. The ship jumped back into realspace as he was still finishing the sentence. The Zeltron heard the roar of the hyperdrive quieting into a hum and giving space for the sublights to gently purr, and he felt only the slightest bump against the pit of his stomach as the ship's dampers immensely attenuated the inertial shift.

"So, are you going to tell me about the lengthy conversation you were having with what's-his-name?" He asked Alcyone, while getting dressed. "Nero?" The cockpit lights blinked red multiple times in response. "Right, right, Zero... Whatever! Don't think I didn't notice how you kept the channel open for a good while, well after Kaila's astromech sent you those coords." She had picked a good spot for them to meet up. The same he would have chosen, had he been the one to make the choice. The girl - or her ship's computer - was not at all lacking in navigational savoir faire. Though, last time around, she did mention the possibility of retaining his services for... something?

"So, what were you talking about?" Spek sat back against the pilot seat, now fully dressed. "You're not planing on ditching me on some other desert planet and elope with this other droid, are you?"

Ah! The pangs and pleasures of forbidden love!

"Anyway, due to its location and nature, this moon is known for operating under the gray area of both legitimate and illicit commerce. Both the Arkanis Regency and the Hutts have a foothold here but that should work on our favor, as each faction will be mostly preoccupied with the other. Trouble can come from either side, true. But if we stay on our toes we should have no problems maneuvering between them, unseen.

"And speaking of which... use those transponders from Corellia. They should seem legitimate enough. Huh? What do you mean? Lassie, that droid really did a number on your head! Just fly casual."

Those unaware, visiting for the first time, might be surprised to find out that Kemal Station was not an actual space station but rather a terrestrial moon, orbiting the gas giant that was Kemal. Their destination, however, was indeed a small low-orbit space port, in turn orbiting the moon. As Alcyone got cleared for landing, Zhio noticed how they were the first to arrive. This was despite Kaila and the others having been already on their way before the coordinates were cleared on his end. Expert instinctive astrogation and a fine ship had its benefits, after all.

"You may be moonstruck, Alcy. Swept off your landing gears by some gear-head somewhere. But no one can claim you're not as nimble as ever!"

After landing, Spek would exit the ship and wait nearby for the others to arrive. He knew what would be the first words to come out of his mouth.

Who the frak brought down that water tower and started all this shit?

To them I'm sure we were nothing more than invaders killing Thier friends and family. " He paused for a moment frowning as his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes darted to the floor. A painful memory etching it's way over his mind before he spoke again.

" We all sacrifice what he believe in some times In Order to do what we think is right sentient life isn't such a fickle thing nor so black and white."

At her warning his eyes darted back up to her with a small shake of his head " sith, Jedi they are but titles. They hold no true merit other than to make people feel as if they belong. Some would state that the sith are evil, and yet here we are on your ship. After you took us in of your own free will and kindness. A feat I'm sure most sith never would have done. He spoke the last words some what teasingly barely hiding the chuckle at the end of his sentence before his attention was snapped away towards Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves with a raised brow at her confession which caused the older force users to simple shake his head. Hearing kailas objections

"Fate? Is just a word people cling to to justify their own actions. a comforting lie in the face of chaos. As a Jedi, I was taught that the Force had a will, that it guided us all toward some grand destiny. I once believed that. I thought my path was carved by the stars, that every choice I made served some higher purpose. But the truth? The truth is, fate is as fragile as the threads we weave. One moment, one mistake, and it all unravels.

I've seen too much to trust in fate. I've seen friends, comrades, whole worlds torn apart—not by destiny, but by the choices of the strong and the silence of the weak. Fate isn't a promise; it's a shadow. You can chase it, you can curse it, but in the end, what matters is what you do when the shadows fall.

Perhaps the Force does have a plan, but if it does, it doesn't share it with us. We make our own fate, step by step, breath by breath. The only question is whether we have the courage to walk the path we've chosen—or to carve a new one when the road ends
."

Laphisto's arms crossed over his chest his eyes flashing a teal blue once again as he peered out at the others around him briefly before letting his blurred vision take hold once more.

"Do you... do you not see the opportunity before you? To escape a fate not of your choosing?"

Choice was always something that had been dictated to for as long as she could remember. It wasn't exactly foreign to her she knew it had been her choice to run and keep running after the after the tower fell or was it. Had this thing in her that both Tella and Kaila claimed she had been what made her run, maybe then choice was something she really had no control over.

"Fate? Is just a word people cling to, to justify their own actions. a comforting lie in the face of chaos. "

Something in her told there was some falsehood in that statement, she didn't quite understand what or why. "I don't know this thing you all call the force. I do not know Jedi from sith, they are just stories I have overheard others say. Legends and myths of powerful people." After today though she didn't doubt that those stories were probably true after all she had seen. She rolled the dice in her hand as an automated call came across the small ship that they were pulling out of hyperspace.

It was almost the end of the road; Tamsin knew it the choice would have to be made soon. "What I do know, is trouble has always followed me. Blougah the Hutt said I was a curse and an omen. Choice is something I have rarely ever had to make myself." She opening admitted as she played with the dice in her hand staring at it not those gathered around. Then there was the slightest of pull on the ship as they came out of hyperspace. Tamsin could feel it, it was comforting in a way that pull as she felt it.

"I promised I'd not take the choice from you, but please, I must caution you against trusting fate! Fate made you a slave. It is not a thing one should surrender to."

The ship was on approach for Kemal Station, as she looked up from the dice to see all the worry and concern in those gathered in the ship. Heavily Tamsin let a smile cross her face at them all. Her dark eyes watching them all, thankfully for them all. "Look at Tatooine, how many there surrendered to fate? Weather it's a lie people tell themselves or something not to be trusted, what makes me special or more then them?" That's when Zero came in and said the ship was docking with the station. "Maybe fate made me a slave and just like every other slave it is meant to be, not a surrender maybe just no escape. Once we are on the station I will roll the dice, because I think it is a fairest way fate or lie, you all have something I can learn but you also deserve a chance to not be burdened with me and cursed by me." She stood up from the corner couch she was sitting on as the ship slowed and began to dock at that station.

Might want to be careful some might think your a Jedi

Kaila rolled her eyes at the dragon, though with a defeated sigh, seemed to acknowledge a degree of truth in the statement. There were certainly days when she acted more like a Jedi than any Sith should. In fact she had killed more sith than Jedi. She hadn't killed Jedi before, even if she'd never tell anyone here. Although it was not for being incapable, they'd simply never given her a good reason to.

However there was one thing which had always separated her from their kind, and Laphisto's ensuing speech brought it to her full attention.

"Fate is no lie, but a complicated truth. Neither so fickle nor black and white, as you put it."

She attempted to caution them both whilst approaching the ramp as the ship descended into Kemal Station.

"I'll tell you the same as I told the Zeltron; I've seen too many visions come true not to believe the force has some influence over fate. Not control, but influence. And as a Sith, I know from experience that it does not like competition. Make of this what you will."

Kaila shrugged as the ramp lowered, sliding her mask on as she descended.

"And for what it's worth, Tamsin, I believe every curse is just a blessing waiting to be given a second chance. I only ask you do not give up on yourself where others have."

"Now then, let us find Spek. I am eager to put more distance between myself and Tatooine."

Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves Laphisto Laphisto Spek Zhio Spek Zhio

A walking contradiction, Spek Zhio not merely walked the line between premeditated and impulsive action, but rather often jumped from side to side of it.

This time around, he had joined a skirmish for no reason whatsoever. Or at least, none that he could accurately pinpoint.

Since the others were taking their sweet time to get to the rendezvous point that they themselves had chosen - despite there being no logical reason to meet up, if all they were going to do was part ways once again - Spek had nothing but time to try and figure out why he did what he did.

He could have just ignored the commotion and got his buyer to offload the Alcyone's cargo, and now he would have been eating a warm meal instead of trying to suppress the growling from his stomach. One person among them was known to him, which was far from saying familiar or even friendly. He had no reason to help her and she most likely neither needed nor wanted it. He did not joined the fight for that reason to begin with. So that was not it...

There were Sith and there were Jedi, and there were innocent bystanders and not so innocent ones as well. But he had long relinquished the savior complex that many a Jedi have, so that was not it as well...

Sure, when given the choice between causing or preventing harm, Zhio would always pick the latter. But back there on Tatooine, it was not his fight to join or his decision to make.

The threads of fate could have been woven into that precise situation and make it so he would be there to... blergh! The thought alone was nauseating and he could not even bare to finish such absurdity. That was not it.

Apparently, there was someone that he barely saw that was being rescued. Going back to his previous thought, that was a noble pursuit. But there were already enough people there. He was out of place. So, no.

Did he even help? Maybe yes, maybe not. But would it make any difference if any, some, or all of them would have died on the square of Bestine? No. The Universe continued the entropic course towards its heat death. Which lives were taken changed nothing in the grand scheme of things - regardless of the egomaniac notions of Force zealots.

Maybe... Just maybe, he knew there would be fighting and was looking for a quick fix, adrenaline junkie that he is. Hardly the case, though. He had just come out of a couple of good, uneventful, peaceful years. During which there was plenty of adrenaline to be had in other pursuits, that did not require risking his hide, lasted longer, and ended with much more pleasurable outcomes. That was not it.

So what the fuck was it?

Familiar scents through the Force told him of the others' arrival, and he shook the conundrum out of his head. Casually walking over to the group, as they exited the ship, Spek realized his self-fulfilling prophecy.

"Who the frak brought down that water tower and started all this shit?"

It felt good to be right, for a change.

As she walked behind them Tamsin was lost in her thoughts about what both Laphisto and Kiala had said to her.

Then she heard some in front of her blocked from Tamsin’s view by the giant Laphisto. The voice clearly male asked who broke down the tower. It was another person who had been there was it the pink skinned man or the murderer. She wasn’t sure as she looked down at the dice in her hand flipping it to the blue side with the element of water on it. It was time she knew it, time for her fate to be decided by the roll of a dice.

She pushed herself forward between Kaila and Laphisto and then passed them, putting herself between them and Spek. The slave girl only a matter of hours ago now stood in the middle of those that had freed her. She looked at Spek an elegantly dressed pink skinned man not the murder which brought some relief to her. Though she was still visibly nervous, these people were all strangers to her. People seemingly with all different viewpoints and life experiences. Yet fate whether they believed in it or not had brought them all together here and now.

“The matter was already settled I brought down the tower.” Whether they believed it or not Tamsin felt she had done this, this was all her doing. She was the bad omen that had made this chaos, it all fell on her. “Do not look at each other as the culprit, I am the omen in your midst.” The one thing none of them could deny this all started with her on that slave auction stage, she was the center of the mess this had become.

She then look directly at Spek Zhio Spek Zhio . “My name is Tamsin, and I thank you. All of you for freeing me.” She lifted the dice showing the blue side with waves on it. “Each one of you I have given a side of this dice to, a chance to show me what it like to be free. I have also given you a chance at having freedom with out the burden of price it might cost you for freeing me.” She showed them all again and Spek for the first time the black skull and cross bones side. Then turned it to the clear empty side. “Also, a freedom where we all go our own ways, and I must make it on my own.”

She once again turned it to the blue side with the waves. “This you.” She showed it to Spek. “If this side comes up I go with you….sir….uh sorry I didn’t get your name but I do know you were there at the slave auction.” She was nervous as she looked at the dice and not at any of them. “Do you have any profound words, about fate, sith, jedi. Or the thing called the force? Or should we let fate, chance, or the lie we tell ourselves decide already?” As she spun the dice between her fingers she wondered for the first time what her future might be and finally realizing this wasn’t a dream she was going to wake up from.

Kaila leaned close to Laphisto Laphisto for but a moment, her tone low and hushed.

"The last time I disregarded my visions, good people died..."

"Never again."

Then she sped up, passing the group by in her search for Spek Zhio Spek Zhio .

"Yes, your men may use the medbay awhile longer. I know the bond they share is important, I wouldn't want to take that from them."

Though she made no outward sign, the young sith was growing increasingly troubled by this talk of fate and dice. It reminded her of the impossible mission ahead, and just how pointless, how lonesome this had felt ever since... since Leven was... She was distracted, and she could not afford to be distracted right now.

Thankfully the zeltron made himself known, drawing her attention away from such thoughts.

"Who the frak brought down that water tower and started all this shit?"

"It's good to see you too, Zhio" she stifled a chuckle.

That was one thing she appreciated about him. He was no sith, but neither was he a Jedi. At times he could be more... direct, a breath of fresh air really, even if more blunt than herself.

" so it wasn't you then? Spose that just leave Tella Voland"

She inclined her head towards Laphisto in wordless agreement, frankly tired of Jedi involvement in what could have otherwise been a very simple task, without competition.
“The matter was already settled I brought down the tower.”

Tamsin however brought an imperceivable frown to her lips, causing her to turn around and stare in pity. She remembered sounding just like her, once.

With the others now talking among themselves however, Kaila chose to take a backseat. Whatever happened next, it was apparently in the hands of fate, and she had expressed her discomfort with this fact more than enough already. Instead, she found a nice crate on which to sit near the back of the group where she could observe them and the entrance in case of bounty hunters.

Besides, this would give her time to think. About her next move depending on how things turned out today, about why fate had brought her here in the first place. And about...

Strange... she could see that dice, clear as day, rolling in her mind's eye.

On what side would it land?
