Intent: To provide a weapon concept I like for One Sith ships. I also want to test my first flak canon submission, and see if I'm good.
Development Thread: If needed
Manufacturer: One Sith
Model: DKS Canon
Affiliation: One Sith Only.
Modularity: No
Production: Minor
Material: Durasteel, Flak Canon Components, Dallorian Alloy
Classification: Flak Canon
Size: Ship-Mounted; can be installed in OS assets planet-side, and in immobile assets in space like space stations.
Length: Normal weight of a flak canon
Weight: Normal weight of a flak canon
Ammunition Type: Sharpnel, other projectiles that flak canons use. Ion canons as well.
Ammunition Capacity: 200,000
Effective Range: Technically speaking, the projectiles have long turbolaser range due to it being fired in space. In terms of practical use however, it is only really useful at close, and medium range.
Rate of Fire: Fully Automatic
Special Features: (Even if you've discussed your features at length in the Description line of the Base Template, this is a good place to list them.)
Description: As the "Iron War Project" continues, and the overall quality of the One Sith navy continues to grow, Krayzen Dratos looked at other designs in order to in order to see if it was a useful weapon of the One Sith navy. After looking at the designs, and working with One Sith naval officials, the Anzat quickly ordered for a flak canon to be create, taking inspiration from the flak canons used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Clone Wars.

After some time coming up with the design, the DKS Canon was created, and soon quickly went into mass production. The flak canon, like most flak canons are used by true capital ships, specifically cruisers and other ships.

In terms of other mechanics, the flak canon has three barrels. Like the Separatist flagship deck canon, it fires an ion round in the first barrel. In the two lower barrels, it fires large caliber projectiles at high velocities toward enemy ships. Like its fellow flak canons, it features a sensor/targeting/automated program. The sensor tracks the ship, the advanced targeting program is able to target the ship, and the automated program quickly opens fire on incoming ships, fully unleashing a cloud of projectiles against the target, as well as ion bolts.

In terms of the rate of fire, the weapon fires at 600 rpm, while the ion canon fires 180 rounds per minute as well. The gun can hold enough ammunition(in a belt) to fire continuously for 4 hours straight

This weapon is extremely useful against deflector shields, and particle shields. While the weapon is extremely useful, it is not without its weaknesses. It was designed to fight starfighters(and all ships that are in that range), gunships, and missiles. Against frigates and higher ships, the weapon won't do significant damage. Even against starfighters/gunships/missiles, the ship is only effective at medium, and close range.

Strengths:
-Extremely useful against deflector shields/particle shields: As a mixture of an ion, and mass driver weapon, the weapon is extremely useful against particle shields, and deflector shields.
-Useful as a point defense weapon: The high amount of rounds per minute makes this extremely useful against as a point defense weapon against missiles, and starfighters. For the latter, it is self-explanatory. In terms of the former, the clouds of sharpnel that are travelling at a missile can confuse targeting systems/sensors, since there are multiple projectiles flying at the incoming trajectory of a missile.
-High rpm: self-explanatory

Weaknesses:
-Has a limited range: Only effective at a close, and medium range. The weapon is utterly useless at long range.
-Can only effect certain ships: This won't be able to do significant damage against ships frigate class, or higher.
