Aver Brand
Mercicle
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Though the implementation is anything but, the idea behind the item is really quite simple. Concealing one’s Force signature and presence has been a popular and powerful trick for centuries, coming in all shapes and sizes. Carrying around an item that does it for you of course lessens the draw on the space-mage’s own reserves and concentration – but what happens if you forget your amulet at home? If it’s stolen? Destroyed? Lost?
Aver could not run such a risk given her personal history, and thus decided to take it a step further. Embedding the alchemized token into her own flesh would prevent the user and Disperser from separating in all but the most bizarre of circumstances – situations in which such a matter would likely be the least of her problems.
Intent: Submit a modified piece of canon tech that Aver’s been using for a long while.

Conceals the user’s presence and signature in the Force
Small, Hidden, and Utterly Inconspicuous™ : FD-2 is embedded beneath the skin – even if she’s ever disarmed, disrobed, and thrown into a cell butt-naked, her secret will remain safe. The piece of metal is small enough to pass for a sesamoid bone if subjected to scans.
Notice-Me-Not: Conceals the user’s presence in the Force. Put quite simply, Aver appears to be a NFU for all intents and purposes.
Alchemized: Excessively difficult to destroy – provided you first even know it’s there.
Body Modification: It takes a dedicated mind to undergo voluntary invasive surgery. This one leaves a scar, that’s for sure.
No U Don’t: Like all Force-imbued items, the FD-2 doesn’t work if exposed to forms of Force nullification (Ysalamiri, Yuuzhan Vong, etc.).
