Feedback on the Fortan

skin, bone, and arrogance
Since I'm all about trying new things this month (for instance, being Member of the Month is a new experience for me) I thought I'd try this, too. Consider this my informal, non-Grand Moff listening tour. What do you guys think? It doesn't have to be about just Natasi Fortan. Go nuts.

I've been writing with you for years, and you only get better as time progresses. Your work with Natasi has been superb. Really, some of the best work that I've read from you. Not to downplay your other characters, of course. You've always had a fantastic voice. The Grand Moff is a very fleshed out character. In the public eye, she's stoic and strong, but then we get glimpses of her behind closed doors (like your thread with Choi), and we see just how human she is.

Yes. She's proper and well-spoken and deserving of her title. But at the end of the day, she's just one person with the weight of her duties, and personal life, weighing down on her. You've brought a whole new side to her that really rounds her out as a character. So, you know, keep up the good work and all that jazz.

You deserve that MOTM spotlight. ^_^

My feedback is on the other Fortan, my one true bro, [member="Pierce Fortan III"]. Just like was mentioned about your characterizations in writing and the multiple dimensions in mind that you write [member="Natasi Fortan"] with, I find that Pierce is a really interesting character with a lot of depth. The camaraderie between Pierce and Roderik has been extremely enjoyable to write, and I am always excited to imagine what they're going to continue getting into together.

Altogether I think you are a talented and competent writer, and a very patient and helpful writing partner -- coming from myself, it has been a matter of dusting off the cobwebs and getting back up to a comfortable level with with writing stories, but never once have I felt rushed or pressured to get a response out, or anything like that.

Honestly, I haven't had any real complaints (that are within your control, lol) and nothing springs to mind as criticism.

Also, I feel it prudent to mention some (additionally positive, again I can't think of anything but positive!) feedback on the additional things you do:

  • Your work on behalf of the First Order administration, keeping the faction moving and shaking instead of stagnating and dying.
  • Your excellent artwork and First Order publications.
  • The excellent handling of the First Order government side of the faction.
  • A special second shout-out to the artwork.

I am perpetually excited about what we'll get up to next, and eventually I am sure I will have something critical to say (albeit in a very positive way, I'm sure: 'You accommodate our factions RP over your personal RP too much!') in the future.
