History: "Felix" is a Unit being made by BlastTech was used to do their dirty work for a long time before being deactivated. A long time later while scavenging a Human man named Kevin Canre found the droid under a pile of rubble and brought it to a robot mechanic who fixed the old droid. Do to it waking up and attacking Kevin the mechanic deactivated it and reprogrammed it to serve him until eventually selling it to the Hutt's. During a smuggling mission Felix was needed to be transported to Nar Shaada so it was given to John during his first mission as a smuggler from Tatooine to Nar Shaada as one of the objects he needed to smuggle across a blockade, because John knew smuggling wasn't the most trust worthy business he re-programmed the droid from his training as a robot repair mechanic when he was enslaved. Turning Felix to his side when he landed Nar Shaada and delivered the goods he used it to kill the attacking body guards that attacked him after he delivered the spices and gear he smuggles to the Hutt.

HK-77 is a canonical character, as indicated in the link you provided. Per Chaos rulings on the matter, canon characters can never appear in roleplay, nor can they be owned by someone. As such, I'm going to have to ask you to alter your submission. It is certainly plausible that you could own an HK series droid, just not one that's canon.

Even droids have an age. It's the number of years they have been in existence and can have an extensive affect on the character as a whole, determining their level of experience in the galaxy. Please provide an age if you do modify this submission.

Model would be best as a link to the droid model on Wookieepedia or on chaos (if it's a player submitted droid model). The picture can be used in your submission, as long as a source link is provided, but the model isn't the appropriate place for it.

The mark is fine. I just want you to add some more here to describe what he looks like. What color is he? Does he have anything different about him other than the mark?

Since you're going to have to modify the submission to be non-canonical, I'd like to ask that you flesh out the history section a little more. Tell us more about how you got him, why you got him, who owned him before, what he's been through. It's all important for knowing more about what the droid can do.

Let me know when you've made these changes or if you have questions.

Alright. After reviewing the information on the HK-51 series, here are a couple of important notes that factor into my suggestions:
  • There's only one HK-51 series still in existence according to canon. The rest were destroyed.
  • The HK-51's have a personal cloaking device, which requires a development thread of some length to have.
With those items in mind, there's a few options available to you:
  1. You submit to the factory in the Technology forum that you want to own the last known HK-51.
  2. You do a development thread about how you managed to find the remaining parts of the last of the HK-51's, and manage to activate one. This will require you to write a somewhat lengthy thread about doing just this since they have the cloaking device. It would take a while.
  3. Change the model to an HK-77, which are still in existence and considerably newer. The weapons loadout would be two integral blaster rifles. Personally, I recommend doing this. It would be far simpler for you and you'd still get to have your assassin droid NPC.
If you do this, please put this link as the model, change the name to something appropriate for the droid (it doesn't have to be called HK), and let me know when you're done. Also update the history based on your choice if you swap to the HK-77 model. They're from the Rebellion era.

And a future point, if you're submitting an NPC based on a droid, it's best not to say it's modified. Whenever you modify a droid, it has to be submitted to the Factory rather than the Codex.

The way it was written was as the canonical character HK-77, that's why I asked you to change it. You can have that model, but it wouldn't be named HK-77 as it isn't that particular character.

Yeah. Just take out the mention of it being a modified HK-77 in the history (I know you reprogrammed it to work for you, but that's not really modifying it). Age should be somewhere around 0 BBY. And the HK-77 doesn't usually have hands, it has two integral blaster rifles, so it wouldn't use the sniper rifle. Unless yours does have hands, which is fine, but you should mention that in appearance.

Also move your link that you have in links up to model.

Make those minor changes and I'll pass this up the chain for second approval.
