[SIZE=11pt]The Fenris is built on the basis of a heavy laminated armour, the suit is built like a suit of ancient plate armour, all solid pieces of armour, built in smooth curves. The curvature of the armour was designed to turn enemy strikes into glancing hits which the solid laminate construction of the [/SIZE][SIZE=11pt]armour could easily block.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Thanks to the Myomer Actuation System the Fenris armour is able to move faster and hit harder than a normal human can. While the Myomer Actuation System is more powerful than the standard actuators, they are not able to provide all of that power to the user due to the weight of the Laminate armour.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The left vambraces of the Fenris contain an energy hardpoint, designed to provide power to a large shield capable of shrugging off most attacks which might be directed at the armour. To prevent shorting, or an overt drain on the suits systems Locke and Key utilized the same capacitor mechanic as their ancile shield, without the throwing capability allowing them to use a larger capacitor. While the shield is active the capacitor can not be charged, but after the shield is deactivated the capacitor will charge quickly. This prevents the shield from acting as a heavy drain on the armor’s systems which prevents someone from constant attacks to weaken and nullify the armour’s power supply.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The Fenris armour is big, this isn’t the armour you wear around a space station, in everyday life. This is the armour you wear in a fight, when it’s time to kill. The Fenris is big and bulky, larger than any armour that Locke and Key have ever produced. One thing that the armour isn’t is agile, wearing it provides you with incredible defensive options at the sacrifice of speed and mobility.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The Minerva System, the ability to draw data about your surroundings giving you the ability to make the best decision in any situation. But that system relies heavily on a series of sensors scattered all over its surface, but in order to do their job, the sensors have to be exposed. However this exposure also leaves then vulnerable, it is relatively easy to damage those sensors when the suit gets hit. With each sensor damaged the Minerva system loses its eyes, leaving the suit without one of its integral components. The suits sensors, exposed as they are, are also vulnerable to EMPs, ion strikes and jamming, disabling the sensors blinds the suit, nullifying the advantages of the Minerva. The Suit's over-reliance on its sensors also leaves it vulnerable to hacking, it's possible for the hacker to spoof the suit's sensors, feeding them false data that can lead to the user reacting to things that aren't there, or failing to react to things that are.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The Fenris’ armour is built around an exceedingly tough composite laminate armour, a thick plate made up of a series of layers which lends the armour it’s incredible defensive protection. The outer layer of the armour consists of of a layer of Armorplast, the ceramic provides a smooth rounded surface to first meet any attack. The Armorplast provides a degree of protection against blaster bolts, whiles it’s smooth curved surface also has the added advantage of preventing any physical attack, slugs or weapon attacks from striking at the 90 degrees which are needed to transfer the energy with the most efficiency. Instead the strikes are designed to roll off the surface of the armour. Underneath the Armorpast layer lies a layer of a [/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt]reinforced duraplast[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] mesh which provides ion and emp protection for the armour. In addition, reinforced duraplast mesh provides a backing for the ceramic layer, the composite layer is designed to both dissipate any ionic or EMP damage they might see. Underneath the Duraplast is a Neuranium layer which provides further protection against energy attacks and projectiles, scattering the energy across its surface. Underneath the Neuranium layer lies another layer of a [/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt]reinforced duraplast[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] mesh which provides ion and emp protection for the armour. The final layer of the armour is a layer of [/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt]Quadanium Steel[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] which provides the strength and rigidity for the rest of the armour to base itself around. The Quadanium Steel itself is a strong armor, while it lacks the density of the Neuranium it has a greater degree of flexibility as a less dense metal, which allows it to better bend and absorb blows to the armour.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]Through the use of the Myomer Actuation System the Fenris Armour is able to enhance the speed and strength of its user. This increase means that the Fenris is not a suit you can just put on and use but takes some getting used to as the basic motor controls. Once master though the suit is able to massively increase your combat effectiveness by allowing you to move around the battlefield hitting that much harder. However, given the weight of the armour, the stresses placed on its user are astronomical, capable of crushing the bones of the user within just a minute of use unless they are enhanced, or a force user tapping the force to protect their body.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The armour is able to completely seal itself off from the environment around it allowing the user to operate in the vacuum of space or in otherwise potentially hazardous zones. [SIZE=11pt]Sometimes your enemies are going to get close, right in your face and swinging around a rifle just isn’t going to cut it. In those situations you need a weapon that you can move fast to cleave through an enemy at close range. This is especially true for the Fenris with its mission as a heavy assault armour. To this end the Engineer’s at Locke and Key installed a series of weapons into the suit itself for those situations. Taking a page from their War-X battle droids they took the Vibroblade based claws, loading them into the gloves of the suit, allowing it to deploy heavy claws as a close range weapon. With the vibroblade technology, any cut from the claws would rip into unarmoured opponents, or cause heavy damage to armoured opponents.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The engineers also loaded a shotgun into the right vambrace of the armour, giving the suit a basic inbuilt short to medium range attack capability. THe suit features an internal ammo storage and loading system allowing multiple types of ammunition to be stored and loaded at the choice of the armour’s user. However, reloading is not a fast process, meaning the Shotgun can’t be quickly reloaded in a fight and should only be used when necessary.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]That’s not to say that the armour doesn’t have its weaknesses, like all armour’s it is dependant on its internal power source to function. Without any power, the Suit turns into a very heavy set of plate mail, hardly ideal in a fast-moving battlefield. Furthermore, the suit contains a variety of sensors scattered over its surface, both front and back. in order to be of any use, these sensors are exposed and therefore vulnerable to being hit. The more sensors are damaged and lost the less use one can generate from the Minerva System that is such an integral part of the suit.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt][/SIZE]
