  Ne'fey'dris was born on Echnos to a family of Chiss refugees who fled to the outer rim after the annihilation of Csilla. She grew up among the anarchists and criminals of the Echnos undercity and quickly adapted to this tech dominated environment, developing her skills as a freelance slicer and making her living through the trade and by repairing or modifying outlaw tech. She never had the chance to learn the intricacies of her home culture save what her parents could still teach, nor did she know of life beyond The Blackwall which the Sith Order had erected between her home and the outside world. All she knew was tech, grit, and to keep her head down around the dark sorcerers who oversaw the daily lives of her people.
  
  When the jedi besieged Echnos in 902 ABY, Feyd lost her father, leaving her and her aging mother to look after her little sister. The young chiss became desperate for funds, hoping to move her family away from the dangerous borderlands and into the Sith Imperial core, mixing with nastier and nastier people as she followed the credits. Eventually she began working for the Trandoshan bounty hunter Fissk, who himself wished to be free of the Sith Order after he had been trapped behind the blackwall. The two ran odd jobs here and there until Darth Anathemous came to rule over Echnos, and quickly launched a military coup against the Kainate. Seeing his opportunity, Fissk convinced his chiss partner to break into the governor's office under the cover of an ill-fated riot to steal valuable intel which he planned to trade with the Kainites. Caught in the middle as Sith lords and fanatic turned the riot into a massacre, Feyd was apprehended by imperial authorities while trying to escape.
