Description:
Under lock and key for a long time, the MWP brings galactic firepower into a new era of personal weaponry.

Modular Weapon Design:
The revolutionary way this weapon is designed is nothing short of breathtaking for anyone unused to the modular approach. The weapon barrel, ammunition type, and many other features of this gun can be disassembled and re-assembled in a little over ten minutes when you are practiced with it. This allows you to use ammunition you find in the field, as well as allows the weapon to be customised as it needs to be, to fit a certain task or for a certain operator, for example with a longer barrel, optics, or a folding stock.

Folding Stock and Full Length Rail
Allow for the weapon to become an SMG size if folded up or extended out to an LMG or sniper rifle size if the rail is fully extended, giving the user tactical flexibility, the middle ground being a standard assault rifle size.

6 Component Mountings:
The Modular Design of the rifle allows specially designed components and additions to the rifle to be fitted and sold separately. There are 3 external mountings, one on each side and one on the bottom, and 3 internal mountings following the same pattern. Some components will require more than one mounting (balance issue) depending on the size or additional requirements of the rifle itself, these will be deved separately.

Dual Barrel System
At the expense of some modular slots, and likely some accuracy and some weight increase, a secondary barrel can be fitted to the gun. The secondary barrel can be a different damage type with its own ammunition capacity, such as a grenade launcher, or a flame unit, and will be deved separately.

Partially Sensor, Radiation and Heat Resistance.
Due to the Nutorium in the alloy, the weapon is partially sensor resistant but will not stand up to really close scrutiny for long. It might well pass a weapons checkpoint for example but if someone spends a lot of effort looking for it, they will pick up a signature. The same level of resistance goes for the heat and radiation resistant in the alloy, with a higher mix of Duravlex and Agrinium both providing a fair resistance to both.

Amidextrous Weapon Operation
The weapon has an ambidextrous magazine release, with a safety switch that can be easily touched by both hands, meaning people who are either right or left handed can use the same gun with ease.

Swappable Barrels and Grip.
To fit various types and sizes of ammunition the barrel is swappable relatively easily, in less than 5-10 minutes by a skilled operator, whereas the grip itself can also be made to suit, which means a more accurate shot, and less damage to the hands of unsuited operators. Many companies seem to neglect this important, if not vital point of weapon design.

A free floating barrel is used to increase accuracy, because it doesn't touch the stock and come out of alignment over time, a modernized weapon concept but an important one for long term use in the field. The critical thing with the MWP kit though is the ability to swap the barrel out, so you effectively could gain more accuracy with a longer one, or a faster aiming time with a shorter one, or use a different ammunition type.

Secondary Tamper Resistance
To reverse engineer the basic weapon (modules may have their own resistance or not) beyond merely cleaning it, requires a special physical key and a signal sent to the internal chip to unlock, a code which will rotate every 1000 models. The tiny receiving device placed within the metal is shielded by an inert polymer to avoid simply burning it away with acid, all in all it could take as much work to crack the chip code and steal a key, as it could for someone to just design their own model, if not more.

Tripod and optics fitting
Comes with a standard detachable optic sight x2, x4, x10 and x20 zoom, and a basic tripod attachment, that can be fitted for more steady, fixed position firing.

Anti Corr 113
Finally this the basic weapon has been coated in Anti-Corr 113 which is naturally resistant to basic corrosion, keeping a shiny finish, and helps keep a thin resistance to chemicals, acid or just the elements in general out in the field.

Strengths
+Hugely Modular Weapon
+In its basic form, relatively easy to maintain and clean, with this being harder the more complex the order.
+Versatile like no other, able to make use of scavenged ammo, and use the ammunition of your rivals or those you want to implicate.
+Tamper Resistant, certain modules will further make use of the ATRS but the base gun only uses the standard tamper resistance listed above.
+Accuracy increase from custom grip and free floating barrel.
+Can use advanced rounds when deved specifically for this weapon.
+Partially resistant (Heat|Radiation|Sensor|Chemical)

Weaknesses
-If two barrels are used, accuracy is reduced.
-If two barrels are used heat increases.
-More weight the more components are added.
-Standard damage if no special additions are made or special orders for ammo etc, though larger or more advanced rounds will be nastier to face.
-Tamper Resistance increases repair costs beyond basic maintenance.
-Nice weapon but has few standard counters to more powerful force users (in this the basic model)
-The rifle doesn't have the range to really snipe particularly effectively with it, 600 meters is almost half what a high tech sniper rifle will have.

Further Balance:
-/+With a higher Caliber, comes more damage but less proportional rounds per clip, with a lower caliber comes less damage but more rounds.

This bit is highly complex making it such a modular weapon in an attempt to make a single chassis into anything. (Kinda like the DC-17m). What I want you to do, is work this submission into a weapon with Three solid types (Standard such as an M4, Assault such as M240B or the like, and Sniper such as the Barrett M82 rather than 5 separate calibers each with completely different specs.

Grenade Launcher (8 Shots) 100 Meters : Minimal impact on performance
Mini Flamethrower (2 Minutes) 50 Meters : Minimal Impact on performance
Blaster Rifle (50 Shots) 300 Meters : Moderate Impact on performance
Ion Rifle (50 Shots) 300 Meters : Moderate Impact on performance
Scattergun (25 Shots) 100 Meters : Minimal Impact on performance. (More may be Deved)

All of these need to be removed from this submission. This submission is for the rifle not for the rifle, grenade launcher, flamethrower, motion sensor, etc.
You can leave in the number of modular options, however it should be understood that two barrels is probably gonna be the best you can get (3 if you go for an under-barrel attachment)

Just note, there are a lot of things that can detect this. Airports have tech that will still see the obvious weapon in a bag in RL. That said, it is ambiguous enough to not be a problem.

I've listed the barrel system to say some modules instead of two, then the person reviewing the attachment can take a look, if its a knife bayonet for example or a blaster rifle, they may want it to have differing impact on the overall performance/design as you say.
 
Alright, first off so I have subbed different sizes of the same weapon with some different specifications. This is a lot more complex than that. An SMG isn't going to be capable of lobbing a 14mm round 600 meters effectively. You are going to need to split the sizes up better based on the type of weapon instead of the Caliber. They make .45 Caliber Sub Machine Guns that aren't effective at 500 Meters, or any where close in RL. You can alter the Ammo Capacity by Caliber, but that is it. Everything else should be separated by Weapon Type to make it easier to flow.

So no SMG sized fit is firing 14mm ammo period. Sound good? That way we don't have to work out range based on weapon size, just ammo size, keeps it nice and simple to read, even if it limits things a bit more.


Referencing this for you, unaltered. That means SMG's firing 8mm are maxing out at 400 meters tops.

These don't have anything to do with this weapons development. just remove them.

Drop these each by 100 meters and make the above changes and I will approve.
