- Hull is constructed using a Phrik-A frame for extreme durability while also saving on weight. This gives the structural integrity of the ship some extreme strength while making it able to hang tough in cases where it needs to.
- Armor system on the vesel is a composite Armor plating consisting of an outer layer of reinforced Duraplast, with several layers of FM-001 Laminate, Duranium, and Alusteel. This gives the ship a very good protection without its shields and makes it a very sturdy and tough nut to crack.
- Thermal and Heavy Deflector Shielding also make this ship able to tank lots of enemy fire, requiring enemies to have to actually focus their fire on breaking individual ships. That means with a squadron flying in proper formation, they can effectively rotate to continuously shrug off fires while giving their shields time to charge. You'll need to break out the heavy weapons to crack these ships.
- FIE engines are top of the line giving the ship a respectable speed both in and out of atmosphere considering all of the weight its carrying.
- On board life support systems ensure the crew doesn't have to wear their own life support, and even the bomb bay is capable of sustaining an atmosphere. It is however recommended that they bring their own in case of hull breach because lets be honest, if these things are getting called out, you're going into some heavy stuff.
- All gunnery stations are linked into the Eagle Eye Targeting and Fire Control System. This gives all of the weapons on the ship the ability to target not only fighters, but enemy munitions such as missiles and bombs. Except for the Static Heavy Laser Cannon, that's more meant for hitting static targets but who's counting at that point.
- Bomb bay is configurable to carry either 44 Proton Torpedoes, 26 Proton bombs, or an equal weight of SIM-series missiles with the Zeus launcher, meaning this ship can not only attack capital ships, but is also capable of supporting star fighter squadrons. Or you know, picking a single target on the ground and saying that target and everything around it no longer exists. Dealer's choice on that one.
- With the Zeus launcher installed you can actually feed this ship remote targeting data with a datalink and then program the missiles onboard to actually seek and destroy another vessels targets without this ship actually getting in the fight and having to try and dogfight someone. This allows this ship to sit comfortably at range, receive targeting data, and then unleash a hellish barrage of missiles.
- I AM THE HAMMER!: This ship has a massive payload capacity and huge ability to bring whatever type of payload fits your fancy to a fight. Want to load it up with as many bombs as you can to hit ground targets? Bet. Want to load it up with the biggest load of missiles possible and have them be unleashed on some poor enemy squadrons who are now wondering what in god's name did they fly into? Too easy. Want to load this thing up with as many bomber based capital ship killing weapons as physically possible and watching the fireworks show? Give me five minutes. This ship, does one thing and that's bring the pain down whatever you might possibly have a bone to pick with.
- Flying Fortress: This ship also has the ability to defend itself very capably to get to its target. With 4 Deimos cannons, two forward facing repeating blaster turrets and heavy laser cannon, and with enough shields and counter-measures to make a Jawa have a heart attack from sheer power output. This makes this vessel a real headache for anyone who has to actually try and kill the blasted things, especially since they come in squadrons of four.
- Not much use in a dogfight: So notice how large these things are? And how lethargic they move? And note that while they are covered in weapons how easy it would be to actually gang up on one or two in a much more maneuverable squadron of star fighters. While it's gonna get a few of them if you don't bring a bit of backup, these things are at severe disadvantages in a dogfight situation because they're not star fighters. They don't go zoom zoom real fast and pull really quick and hard turns. These things drive like your grandpa's old speeder, the one with the really bad motivator. Great in a straight line with small adjustments, but you're not going to be pulling some super stellar moves in this.
Freebirds Industries is proud to present it's latest developments in military technology and first in a line of star bomber products for the CDF. The B-1 or as all of their crews affectionately call them, the Bone. This ship is designed to take the concept of a heavy bomber, and put their own spin on it. With a modular ordinance bay that allows for the installation both dumb or guided bombs up to 18,000 kilograms, or an equivalent number of missiles with the simple installation of a Zeus Multiple Launch Missile System. This allows for this bomber to not only attack heavier vessels such as capital ships, but also support fighter squadrons with massive payloads of Space Interception Missiles. This makes these bombers a triple threat, allowing them to go after planet based targets, capital ships in space, or even as a long range support for star fighter squadrons. And with all of the firepower, armor, and shields these ships bring to the table, they will not be ignored. So if you got a bone to pick with someone, why not use the B-1 to let them know exactly how much you don't like this person, or group. 44 Proton Torpedoes at a time.
