Julian Viles Priest
Character

Image Source: Wiedamark 200 Strand LED Fiber Optic Star Ceiling Kit
Intent: To create a modding kit for armors that allow them to change colors on demand.
Development Thread: If needed
Manufacturer: Julian Viles Priest
Model: FO-LED-C
Affiliation: Limited
Modularity: Modularity is possible, though at this moment, it is unsure how it can be. Ideas for modding this device can include holographic projection, a personal stealth system (Dev Thread would be needed for that, this unit DOES NOT do this as a stock item)
Production: Production: Mass Produced
Material: Fiber Optic LEDs, Electronic Components, Hybrid Plexisteel, Transparisteel, Armorweave
Blaster Resistant Quality - 2
Description: Julian's need to be able to change his armor's camo on the fly was high considering the very different terrains and environments he would incounter. (I.E. Snow, Jungle, Plains, Woods, Volcanic, Desert, and much more). Julian spent three days studing up on fiber optic LEDs, the use of Transparisteel, and the Hybird Plexisteel. Using the necessary compnonets needed, and through many many days of weaving the LEDs through Armorweave, then coating the Armorweave with Transparisteel for the extra needed protection, Julian made a break through. With HUD connection, and a database on camos, the many THOUSANDS of LEDs could change color on demand according to the database, producing an effective camo "paint job" to the armor. The Armorweave could then be attached to Durasteel armors, though for this made the Durasteel armors a little more bulky. Even Mandalorian Duralloy armor began to feel the same way. But with the added camo on demand, and minimum added blaster protection, the little bit of movement this device removed was worth it. Specially since this can be added to Light, Medium, and the Heavy Armors.
The downsides of this device? The components that fed the LEDs electricity were open to attack, if one knew which component on the armor fed the LEDs. EMPs destroyed this device making it useless forever, and thus an application of a new Digital Armor to the attached armor would need to be applied. It covered up whatever color the original armor was, and is highly ineffective against Slugthrowers, and Lightsabers. Submerging it underwater causes it short circuit, but rains will not hurt it.
