Culture:Government – The sole government, if it can be called that, are the Feudal Lords. Last remaining Lords of the planet is the House of Van-Derveld. Though with the smaller numbers of them as well, the government aspect has become weaker, allowing for a more lenient world.
Society – The feudal aspect of the world remains. The humans still know all too well who the Lupines are and what they can do. Though with the massive decrease of their numbers, the settlements reminds more large villages. The people live out their peaceful and quiet life, doing their jobs and keeping to themselves. There have been those who have left the moon, making their own paths away from their families. Some never return, others do. Those that remain live simple lives day to day. Work, family, cautionary tales of the monsters, simple entertainment.
Religion – If there were gods the Lupines once honored, they have been long forgotten. Those who were discovered to be Force Sensitivity began to follow one of the Force ways, taking their own paths. Non Force Users on the other hand appear to have no religion though some ancient methods towards nature or belief that the Force is truly something powerful that should be respected created, especially since they too could see what the Force Users could achieve.
Technology: The world was once considered highly backwater, living far behind all others. This worked for an undiscovered world. Though with the arrival of humans, the native species discovered multiple advances they didn't quite understand at first though in time accepted them into their life and progressed faster than they were meant to. Since then, the Lupine race ventured into space themselves and accepted the times, furthering the moon along with their knowledge.
History: The seventh moon, Figaro Favoura VII, sole body capable of inhabiting sentient life. It is a rugge world of mountains and moors, with its population confined to a small number of settlements, which were once centered around fortified manors and castles owned by individual families. Eventually, the estate owners became leaders of the people who inhabited the land around them. Among those wealthy families was the Van-Derveld family, all until the arrival of Diego Van-Derveld, who would grow bored with the life he’d been raised and and thus went on to father multiple children by different women. Among those children were Vega, Ket and Cat Van-Derveld. In time though, the families decayed and became smaller. Forgotten stories speak of inbreed, madness among families and the loss of ability to change into wolf form by many families.
At the time of the Gulag Plague, Figaro Favoura system was still an unknown system to the most of the galaxy. It is solely because of this reason that the Plague passed them by, not affecting the system. But it is because of the event that spread through the galaxy and destroyed many planets that the the moon was discovered purely by chance, in a human attempt to find new life after the major planets were swept by the Plague. It was considered to be a backwater world though still interesting to humans who did not at first realize the moon was inhabited by the Lupine population until cities were well established. House Van-Derveld, having survived beyond the time of other Houses, easily took control of the human settlements, and for several centuries. They were considered to be feudal lords of the moon. Those who had protested their rule met an untimely demise.
The number of Force Users declined with time, many of them going out into the galaxy to find their own paths among the many Force Orders of the galaxy. Some remained though, along with many who had yet to fully grasp the full length of what it meant to be Force Sensitive. It was because of this that the Netherworld disaster did have such an impact on the planet. The war had passed them by, as many galactic events often did, but when the fluctuations in the Force began to rise, more and more members of society began to manifest their abilities, completely uncontrolled until they all began to disappear. At first disappearance, the people began to suspect the return of the Lupines among them but the numbers increased, taking as much as hundreds. This brought on a sense of panic. When it all came to a stop, the panic remained, and the Force Sensitivity decayed, those left behind finding it hard to wield the power for a time. In time, it would become one of those things that was whispered in hushed tones and never spoken out loud. The humans of Figaro Favoura VII found something to fear more than their Lupine overlords.
Notable PCs: Ket Van-Derveld (currently on LOA but I have his permission to do this), Chloe Van-Derveld, Katrine Van-Derveld
Intent: The planet, or rather it moon, is the birthplace of the House of Van-Derveld. It's important to their heritage and origin and thus goes hand in hand with being a Lupine. The planet can be used by others as far as human population, with respect to the information given above.
