Finding purpose

Had it been nearly a year?

A year since her home went up on flames or had toppled over, a year since she watched many people die all because her motherland was stabbed in the back and ecdided to punish them? A year since her parents shoved he until this shuttle and sent her off...before being killed whole trying to get others off the planet...

A year drifting from place to place, guilty at the lose of he either and father and all of her clan mates....she was alone in this galaxy. Then she heard a call...a call from the planet, a civil war...she dared not go...no, she waited to know it was safe and headed back now

Arriving to the planet of mandalore she looked down at the broken surface slowly healing, she frowned and had her trusty little droid fly them down...this....[member="Shia Kryze"] was apparently the alor. She had to meet this person and so she sat off to do so...sent a message ahead it read

Shia kryze'alor, I wish to meet you. I have not heard of our clan living till I heard a few days ago of the civil war...

More would be said.m.in person as she wanted it personal

'You can find me at the owl sanctuary in neo-Keldabe, welcome home, vod.'

The 'Owl Sanctuary' is an immense dome on the far outskirts of the city, where Mandalore's last time and wild 'Night Owls' (the Kryze family symbol) are being preserved and food grown as fast as it can be to feed the starving populace - you go from urban expansion into idyllic rural Mandalorian countryside in one single airlock. Of course, Night Owls have a wingspan bigger than spacefighters and can in fact be ridden - although their renowned intelligence makes this more of a friendship than a rider-mount relationship. Consequentially, the dome is immense - Night Owls are solitary creatures, and packed together like this even their brilliant proto-sapience which permits them to, if only vaguely, understand the Mandalorians are trying to help and this is needed doesn't mean they don't need space.

Other alor rule from starships or from palaces, Shia rules from a small one-person vheh'yaim near the middle of the dome. Any of the staff can point someone in her direction - there's no real formality to it other than checking who she is.

Shia is outside when Amanda arrives, tending the neat formal garden that is her concession to luxury in the present crisis - you won't find a single other one inside the spartan home.

(Sorry this took so long, the invasion and work kicked me)

She stepped onto the ashen surface, she looked around seeing what remained, all of the people gathering back again to lead their lives, to try and rebuilding on nothing but a barren world? Least the owls lived, her parents would tell her stories about them and their riders....she dreamed one day she could take one to fly it...maybe she's a lot better at flying one then a ship...

She took a speeder straight to the sanctuary, intending on meeting her alor soon as possible, find out just what her clan was up to and where she could be useful. She was tired of wandering and hiding, now was the time for action for her to finally make purpose within her life.

She arrived to the formal garden soon, she looked around at the collection of elegant and beautiful plants, before she spotted Shia and walked over to her as she stood silent for a no it's before she spoke

su'cuy vod...this place is beyond amazing...such a sharp contrast to the world around us [/color)

Shia rose, a wan smile on her face. But a smile of greeting none the less.

"Su'cuy. It is all we can do now to retain this much, but they will survive and we will survive. Mandalore always does."

She extended her arm in a warriors clasp. There was something... odd about her amber eyes, a flicker of something not entirely natural about them, as if they reflected something that wasn't there - or like an owls, reflected light, which would be impossible during the day.

"You are Amanda." It was a statement, more than a question. Aside from that one oddity, she appeared wholly normal. "Welcome home."

She extended her arm and shook as she smiled warmly as she nodded, however that look in her eyes was.....odd? She couldn't quite describe it at all just seemed different not of this world...whatever she wouldn't judge her alor

I uh...yes ma'am I am, in glad to be home again...ive come to you to find my purpose once again, I've lost to much and I've moped around enough...i want to know where I'll be useful ma'am

"Anywhere, right about now."

Shia replied, turning to walk back into her vheh'yaim, beckoning Amanda to follow her inside.

"We can use help all across every element of the reconstruction - if you can call it that, right now we're still triaging an entire planet. And with the... situation with Ra and the Cuir Rekr, whatever's going on there, well, it's up to us what we do to fix things. What can you do?"

[member="Shia Kryze"]

plenty ma'am! I can shoot, I can repair ships and such like that, just don't let an fly one in terrible. Let's see I know A bit of medical stuff but I likely can't do surgery

She never truely tried to put any of her skills to use, sure reparikg things mostly because the small shuttle she arrived on was always on the verge of falling out if the sky

just whatever you need me for ma'am I'm ready to help my vod out, like mt parents did before they perished

"Okay, keep you off the flight line. Noted."

The inside of Shia's home wasn't quite as spartan as the outside, but it was a near thing - the sole concession to comfort over elegant utility appeared to be the bed in the corner of the room, and - of all things - the lone stuffed porg toy that sat atop it, regarding the room with ancient eyes.

"Take a seat. There's plenty of jobs for someone with good technical skills - you may have noticed that together with MandalMotors House Kryze is building a city outside. Or if you want a job at MandalMotors I can speak to them - they're a source of a lot of our capital these days. Or... well, Kryze are looking at revamping some old ship designs ourselves."

She took a look around the home, seemed pretty basic, all that was there was a bed it seemed for rest and....a porg toy? Seemed sinve those things were discovered they became popular, course she couldn't blame a time they did look adorable in a sense...she also wondered how they tasted...or if they could be eaten for that matter

hmmm...plenty of good choices...i know it's probably stupid to ask but what about front line jobs?

She liked the idea if building the city, mandalmotors, or even the clan but she felt a urge to head straight to the front for some odd reason

Chicken. They tasted like chicken.

Well, actually as a seabird and an avian they probably tasted pretty bad.

"Well, whenever we're called to war the Clan answers - right now, the next big thing is probably going to be the reconquest - I hate to use the word 'liberation', of Khorm."

Shia shrugged slightly.

"If you want a permanent post in a frontline unit, that can be arranged - particularly for someone with technical skills. We're all involved in that sort of thing... quite often."

Only good for pets or watching, got it.

seems like it'll be a big ordeal, surely a easy victory?

She smirked and thought for a second, this would mean she would be placed right in the heat of things. However it felt right going straight into the fire of wars. Looking back to her alor and nodded

yes ma'am that's what I want, I may also add that I am a good shot...if i may say almost a jack of all trades. I can fight and I can repair

[member="Shia Kryze"]

She flashed a bright smile as she tried holding back her excitement, she finally calmed herself and cleared her throat as she breathes out and nodded

when do I start ma'am? I'm ready whenever you need me

"The fighting? When the next raid happens." Shia replied somberly. "Helping the designers put together those monsters they're building for terraforming? I can drop a comm now and you can start in an hour, it'll take you that long to get to the construction site."

[member="Amanda Kryze "]

[member="Shia Kryze"]

terraformers? To fix the planet? Uh yeah I'll defintily help with those anything to fix my home, our home should I say. Go ahead send the word and I'll leave right now to help

She said almost excited for this opportunity, evem to the point ahe was tapping her foot and had a big smile on her face...yeah she was really glad to be home
