Production: Limited.
Material: Force Imbued Durasteel.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Firemane has often found itself fighting Force-Using opponents, such as Bando Gora, Sith, Dark Eldorai, genocidal Shards and, most recently, fundamentalist Jedi on Tephrike. Sometimes it has to secure and accommodate Force-Using captives. Alas, space mages are not the easiest prisoners to contain. The obvious answer to this conundrum are ysalamiri, but the lizards are not readily available in the field and can be awkward to transport. Universal energy cages are useful to contain prisoners inside a base, but that does not help troops in a field.
Firemane has its own Force-Using branch, the Order of Fire, so it was natural for it to turn to preternatural means of suppression and containment. Alaerni Samasarth, an alchemist and member of Siobhan's Inner Circle, headed the project. For obvious reasons, the Order attracts only a few Light Side apts, so using the Light to deprive captives of their abilities was not an option. However, the Order employs, the Order of Fire Silencers, s a cadre of operatives who specialise in using their powers to suppress or dampen the Force abilities of other Force adepts. Their leader Hikari Saito is a strong practitioner. Thus Firemane alchemists enlisted their expertise for the project. They also consulted Draco Vereen, a powerful master of such abilities.
The result was a device imbued with Force Suppression and Dampen Force. Dampen Force is used to block the Force from others. It has been compared to a cold, wet blanket being wrapped around a Force-Sensitive. Victims have been known to have difficulty controlling objects bigger than mere molecules. It also disrupts Force abilities as they are manifested. Force Suppression affects the mind, convincing the victim it has been cut off from the Force.
The process of creating these devices is time-consuming and intense, as they require an adept of notable power. This obviously limits their availability. Select members of Firemane units as well as allies are given access to them. Due to the imbuement, the devices obviously do not work in a Force null zone such as the one generated by a ysalamiri. However, this is not much of a drawback since the goal is to keep a captive from using the Force. The devices are available in both collar and cuff form. Firemane's armed forces employ many freed slaves. For obvious reasons, many of them prefer using cuffs rather than collars, as the latter can bring up uncomfortable memories. In either case, the devices are capable of stunning a prisoner, like a conventional pair of stun cuffs or a stun collar would be able to.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- The Force Suppression Devices are imbued with Force Suppression and Dampen Force. This prevents an individual who wears them from using the Force.
- The device suppresses the ability of a captive to use the Force.
- Typical stun functionality of a stun collar or stun cuffs.
- Aside from the aforementioned imbuement, the Suppression Devices do not have any special qualities that make them distinct from stun cuffs/collars. Someone who has the means can break them, pick the lock, cut them open with a lightsabre and so on.
- The device does not totally severe the victim from the Force. It dampens and limits it to a significant degree, but Sense abilities still work in a general way.
