First Class

While not yet a Knight, the senior Padawan had more than enough experience under her belt to help with some of the newer initiates of the order, practically fresh off the ship to Voss. Many were just children who had only began to tap into their latent abilities, but there was also a good deal of teenagers and adults who were late bloomers.

She was both eager and anxious about taking on the role of a teacher. She loved the thought of finally giving back and helping people on the path to being a Jedi (or at least responsible Force adepts), but she also had the fear that she would leave a bad impression on them and disappoint more senior members of the Silver Order. Better to try and fail than not at all.

Her first class with her batch of initiates would be held in a forest clearing far from the academy, requiring a bit of a hike to get there. At the end of the hike, they settled at the moss covered footsteps of ancient ruins.

She didn't have any sort of set lesson plan for the initiates, but a rough outline of that included an introduction the Jedi way of life, and a few exercises to gauge each individual's grasp of the Force.

The cool mist of the morning could be felt ghosting over her montrels, electing a slight shiver from the initate. She pulled up the brown hood of her initate robe, hoping to keep some of the dew off her "head tails," seeing how they were quite sensative to pretty much anything.

The teen looked around at the group once they had settled down by a moss covered staircase, observing the group she hadnt been able to look at as they hiked.

She couldnt help but frown lightly as she looked around. There was not doubt in her mind she was among the oldest of the initates here. Among the olderest to not have recieved a master yet..

The Twi'lek just shook her head, attempting to clear the painful thoughts from her mind. Her eyes looked to the padawan who functioned as their teacher for the day, awaiting instructions.

Shipping to and fro, that was the life of adal being paid to ship anything from a few boxes to large amount of items on a single ship she called her home

This delivery was no different, she had been contracted to deliver food items to Voss for these...Jedi? She heard that term thrown around the holo and with people she chuckled at it, she remberimg her mother telling her a time where force users was a surprise in the news, something you'd here and would cause a stir

So as the 32 year old shipping company owner of a single ship landed, she boarded off and watched the cargo being unloaded, however she spotted a group heading out...now either by some odd thing or her own curious mind, she started to trail them

Eventually she mingled with the adult group as they hiked to a Moss covered ruin and looked around

The Valkyri stood there as she was prepared moving in the jungles of Voss. it was a very different place and outside of the snow, outside of the cold she couldn't believe what there was here. Wearing the thick furred coat with the sewn in circlet that allowed her to regulate and wear what she wanted. Just a small improvement that didn't really matter as much as the chance to wear the traditional robes and garments of her peoples. The massive battle axe she had for cleaving enemies and focusing the force into it to become stronger was there. As was her mass of blonde braided hair and a shield on her back. The largely built woman walked with the others through the jungle seeing the others.

Ororo had heard about a class earlier from other students, they told him where it would be a bit farther then Ororo had like but he was still going to attend. During the small hike he took in the calm atmosphere of the planet, every sound was elevated by the silence of the forest. He was a bit late the group was already at the meeting spot, as he approached he tripped and fell in the dirt but got right up a blush of red shading his cheeks. "um hello I was told there would be lessons here."

As she looked around, she saw that this particular class was quite diverse in both age and race, from a teenage twi'lek to an adult valkyri that towered over everyone. Just as she was about to address the group, another initiate appeared in the clearing, only to trip over himself. Arisa hopped up from the steps to check on him, but he was already on his feet by the time she got to him, beet red in the face. A couple of the other initiates chuckled over his fall.

"Yes, you're in the right place," she answered with a smile.

There were now clumps of dirt that clung to his clothes where he had hit the ground, but with a wave of her hand, she wiped it all away with a subtle application of telekinesis. She motioned for him to take a seat with the rest of the class while she returned to the steps to speak.

"Before I begin, I'd like to congratulate you all for taking the first steps in becoming a Jedi. I know some of you didn't have the best prospects as alternatives, but none the less, it took a lot of commitment to be here today. The galaxy is currently under a great deal of distress and requires our aid more than ever. This is the time of the Sith, where they brazenly roam the galaxy sewing discord like a plague. Much will be required of each of you as you complete your training to become a fully-fledged Jedi Knight."

"We'll be working together quite closely over the next few weeks, so I'd love it if we had some proper introductions. If you would, then I'd like you all to share your name, a bit of your story getting to Voss, and a few hobbies."

"I'll start with myself. My full name is Arisa Yune, a native of the planet
Plexishttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Plexis. I did not start out as a Silver Jedi, but as a Jedi of the Galactic Republic. Unfortunately, with the departure of so many of our Masters and Knights, I was forced to come to Voss to complete my training. I'd like to return to the Core someday, but for now, the Outer Rim is my home."

It hadn't been an easy choice to leave what remained of the Republic, but she was no good to it as a half trained Jedi. Still, sometimes she felt
guilty, like she had abandoned the people as the rest before her. It was hard thinking about it, which was why she glossed over her history there.

"As for hobbies, I enjoy playing
music, and tinkering with machinery. If you see me around the campus, it's usually at the workshops."

"Alright, so who's next?"

She was looking at the other one who arrived while taking in more of it. There was something good about having a differing group who would be able to provide different levels of feedback. They could all bring something good into the group while she towered over most fo them and while not being that old was likely older then [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] and his sister but the children of the grandmaster were wellknown while her family was mostly common stock who lived in the wilderness near the beorni like [member="Kiriko"] the padibear or the beariwan... Something like that that had her attention when she finally spoke. "I am Rowena of Midvinter, with the Silver Jedi coming and helping us we have found more reason to come off world and aid others." As to hobbies she was not really certain if drinking was one of them but why not. "As for what I do in my spare time, there is good drink here thanks to the Heavenshields."

Oh great, she was supposed to introduce herself now, all she had done was try and sneak in, best not to blow her cover*

Uh well I am adal armina, I'm a uh well shipping company owner...in fact only reason why I'm here right now is because I had made a delivery to your guys temple and people so...I got interested and stuck in here

Moght as well let the truth be out then hide it

As for interest, holo table I guess and watching the pod races when I can

The young boy had fallen behind the pack as they made their march up the path to the ruins. Although Kayda had gotten word of where the group was specifically meeting by his master, he would not be lost. The young boy got easily exhausted as he had hardly done anything rigorous or demanding in his old life.

Eventually the padawan would appear crawling up the stairs that lead to the ruins. With slight knowledge of the groups conversation, the boy would reply to Arisa's question.

"Ehhh, Kayda Vrieska.. sorry I'm.. late.."

Kayda spoke in an exhausted tone as he introduced himself. Pulling his body over the last step, he would lay on his back panting out of breath from the long walk.

She nodded as each initiate shared some information about themselves. Among the group was a curious pilot who had decided to lurk the gathering, but she didn't mind at all. If anything, she would have liked more visitors around to get a better idea of just who the Jedi were. There was much misinformation about the Jedi out there, particularly on the Silver Jedi as they were currently the target of a concerted smear campaign.

While another initiative started speaking,
Kayda came hobbling along from exhaustion. She made the assumption that he had run all the way to the group from the temple, never imagining her admittedly pampered pupil would be so winded from an easy walk.

"Ah, thought I missed you this morning,
Kayda. We're in the midst of making introductions. While don't you share some things about yourself including a few hobbies?"

The Correllian was a fellow Jedi that she had brought with her from the Republic. Not much more experienced than the initiates all before her, she had asked him to attend the class to get some more training under his belt. Because of their shared history, she had a special attachment to the boy, envisioning herself eventually becoming his real master once she had completed her own training for Knighthood.

"Ah, yes.."

Responding to Arisa the boy would stand up. Patting off his robes, Kayda looked around obtaining a familiarity with everyone around him. Begging to speak, his voice would be soft and weak.

"You all know my name now, but I use to live in a royal society I guess you could say. Until the war between two factions caused the destruction of my home..."

When he said this, a faint look of sadness would be visible in the boys eyes.

"I was taken in by Arisa, and I've been by her side ever since. As for hobbies, I'm one for tinkering.. um.. I also have some flight knowledge."

The boys expression would quickly change to a light smile, he looked across the group where his Master stood. Giving her a faint grin, his eyes narrowing.

A Chagrian soon appears out from some bushes behind the other initiates, a familiar sight to those who had been at the Voss Academy for some time. Raknarion claps his hands behind his back as he observes the group, offering a nod at Arisa.

Raknarion Amerok, a padawan, had originally planned the day to meditate within the forest, alone. The recent death of his master and the ever-approaching trials had taken it's fair share of tax on his mind. A fine day within the forest sounded like a good plan to Raknarion, though his curiosity had gotten the best of him when he heard voices. When he noticed Arisa Yune in the group, he recalled that she were leading a training session here today. "Why not?" he thought to himself as he approached.

He'd announce his name once it was his turn, seeing how everyone else did it.

"The name is Raknarion Amerok, padawan of the Silver Jedi."

She was looking at the other who was there and the large Valkyri heard something when she turned looking at the padawan who was arriving with a look on her face. Is he okay? She was curious while he was speaking and seemed to be out of breath while the rest of them were fine enough. He must be sickly or something she was guessing when he mentioned coming with the other one and being by her side. That would explain it enough for her when she crossed her arms over her chest with a nod of welcoming.

Nyt Rito

The (New) Padawan Menace!
Stampeding through the underbrush, the youngling charged. The kitchen staff has long since given up their chase, but the Padawan Menace wasn't going to discount a courageous Knight or Master seeking him out for restitution for the treasure stolen.

Leaping out of a tree, he tucked into a tight roll mid air, looking down at a collection of humanoids. Initiates, and Padawan, like himself. Grinning, the youngling touched ground lightly near them, chirping a cheerful greeting.

"Sup, brahs!"

He reached into a brown sack he was carrying. A fresh, still warm, chocolate chip cookie was withdrawn, and immediately enjoyed thoroughly. He then looked to the rest, before offering some of his ill gotten gains.

"Cookie, anyone?" He offered, grinning, as those Lekku bobbed about behind him as he looked from face to face. "Names Nyt! Nyt Rito! I'm Zak Dymo's little Brah. Or, uh, Padawan. Yeah, that's the word!"

How did people stand living on such a warm planet?

The Beorni cub would venture to the ice-fed rivers that flowed down from the glacial peaks of the Voss Mountains, cooling himself as the two layers of fur -- the soft undercoat and the bristly top coat - were intended for colder conditions. Coming out of the river, the small bear found a rock in the shade on which to climb up on and, after circling around three or four times, settle down for a nap.

And nap he did.

Fifteen? Twenty minutes? What a weak concept for a nap. Such things were for cats.

An hour? Two hours? A Beorni had only just begun to nap!

As the day lingered on, suddenly the bear's ear began to twitch. He could hear some people, but he wasn't inclined to get up from his nap. For starters, napping was serious business and, second of all, the rock was actually surprisingly comfortable. So the cub drifted peacefully back to...

...and now he was wide awake.

His fur was standing on end, his ears perked high on his head. His muzzle angled upward, as he tilted back his head. The black, button nose was wiggling fiercely as he sniffed at the air.

And then, he was off!

On the hunt!

On the prowl!

Nature's deadliest predator. When Beorni attack! Padding around on all fours, the small cub ducked under some brush and, when he'd emerged on the other side, found himself staring at what seemed a sizeable group of people.

That wasn't what had brought him here however.

Hunter's instincts kicking in, the bear trotted across over near where the young Nautolan was. The cub's nose was continuing to wiggle furiously, briefly brushing against the boy's arm as the Beorni searched for the source of the delicious food smell that had lured him here. No doubt, the Nautolan would be startled at how cold and wet a Beorni's nose could be. In this kind of environment anyway.

Plopping his butt down, the boy's puffball tail twitched as he looked over at Nyt. "Are you gonna eat that?" the cub asked, his stomach growling as he could smell that cookiee from miles away.

Piper would have heard from the Grandmaster that this would be a good place for her to start. She had come to the order on recommendation of her teacher. He told her she should do this because it wasnt everyday that someone as gifted as her came along. She would quickly appear in a puff of smoke
