A strange signal has been detected emerging from the Unknown Regions, heading straight for the Core Worlds. Attempts to decipher or translate the message imply sentient life is behind it. The only option left is to heed the call it is seemingly emitting and discover the truth. The signal has halted for now, however, a few parsecs from Galantos, apparently lying in wait.​

It's best to hope they, whoever they are, are friendly, at least...​

Welcome to the Second Triumvirate's first roleplay thread! This post is serving as an opener, setting the scene, etc etc.​

Please go say hello in the OOC thread for this RP before posting, so we know who's showing up & can more easily plan interactions! Much appreciated.​

Now, to business; as the opener stated above, an unknown something is moving towards the Core, and has stopped just outside of the planet Galantos (to give a geographical reference as to where this is taking place). All are welcome to say they've come to investigate, as ICly this weird signal has been transmitting on available frequencies for a few weeks now. Why they've stopped isn't clear, but it's easier to fly over and investigate now that things have come to a stop.​

This is taking place in space aboard ships, and not on the ground; this is in Galantos' orbit, so you'll need a ship. This is not a combat thread so fleeting is not necessary, this is more diplomatic/interaction-based.​

This is the OOC thread for the Second Triumvirate's first 'public' thread, First Contact.​

Please say hello here before posting and use this thread as a way to coordinate between other people and Triumvirate people; ICly, this is the first point of meeting between the Triumvirate and anyone from the Core, or even anyone outside the deep Unknown Regions, so this will definitely provoke some tension (However, we don't want this to be a skirmish/PvP thread so please respect that!) and interaction that will go on to shape the Triumvirate's view of the rest of the galaxy and potentially the fate of storylines.​
