First Encounter: Empire Space [Davin]

Akodya Mune

Akodya's stomach had itself in knots as she walked through Kas City, each step more hesitant than the last. Her whole body was screaming that she was not meant to be here. A light drizzle of rain tickled the girl's hot skin as she let her eyes wonder over the faces of the people she pasted, her own expression safely hidden away under a dark hood. Everything about this place was grey. The buildings were grey, the sky was grey, and the people were grey. The only thing that stood out in the distance was the odd Imperial flag, flickering in the cool breeze like bloodied bandage. For some reason she pictured Kas...different.

Although, she didn't have much to go by. It was her first time in Imperial space. She had been positive that as soon as the aged vessel she had arrived in touched the spaceport she was going to be taken away by the Sith. A ex padawan would be a valuable asset with the invasions breaking out. Put surprisingly she was able to slip into a speeder unseen and was now wondering the streets stuck between feeling curious and guilty. Soon enough the brunette's hazel gaze landed on a modest but decent looking cantina. Her stomach gave a faint growl at the thought of the food that might be sold here, as it hadn't occurred to her how hungry she was. Akodya stood in the rain for awhile, staring up at the sign while biting her lower lip.

In the end, she decided to go in for a quick look.

Kaas City, Dromund Kaas
Black clad in his special Imperial Knight armor, Davin and his special operations team adorned in similar garb shot across the hazed street. The torrential downpour of massive swaths of rain provided enough cover to the little squad of four to easily move from place to place in the city. Their charcoal black cloaks paired with the misty, empty streets of Dromund Kaas gave the Knights easy access to almost any point in the city. The Sith nowadays were lax, not even droids were milling about this portion of the city's backwater area. Intelligence was needed by the Fel Imperium's government and military, and Davin's task force was in the area. Why not join his little team and make results himself?

The Admiral and the trio following made haste in entering the busier part of the city's slums, taking care to mask their Force signatures in case a wary Sith happened to stumble upon them and ruin their plans entirely. Davin wasn't one for capture, his code of honor dictated against such a thing. Either things were going well for the team or they were walking into an ambush. Only time would tell. As the black shrouded Chiss slid up against the corner of a food vendor's warehouse, a slight twinge in the Force yelled out to him. Crimson eyes edged out of the corner, pinpointing the source as a hooded figure moving into a law-lying restaurant.

"Follow me." He whispered, pulling the black cloak further around him and donning his hood.
"What the feth are we doing, boss?" One of the Knights, Jaymes Rekk, questioned.
Davin produced an index finger in the vendor's direction. "I felt a signature. Probably a Sith, we'll take him down and interrogate."
"Time for some fun!"

And with that, they moved into the building.

Surprisingly enough, the Cantina was much more lively than Akodya originally thought. Upon entering the establishment the girl was bombarded with noise. A live band was playing loud and upbeat music while drunk citizens yelled and tripped over each other. In comparison to the dim streets of the underbelly of Kaas City, the cantina was much brighter. Neon lights flashing in the intoxicated haze as well as the bluish hue of holodancers left her a little overwhelmed. The human had never really understood the entertainment value of drinking until you couldn't feel your head the next day. No one bothered to pay any attention to her as she weaved skillfully through the crowd toward a table right at the back, careful not to accidentally brush into anyone as she did so.

Finally she collapsed into the soft fabric of the booth, spreading her delicate hands out onto the rough surface of the table. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she allowed herself a moment to breathe easy. What was are you even doing here? what in the galaxy do you hope to find? She thought to herself as her hands curled into fists. She had struggled her way into Sith space, for what? a taste of the opposite side? Akodya hadn't been doing a lot of planning these days. There was once a time she couldn't do anything without calculating every step first, but now she was just drifting around; purposeless.

"Drink?"

Akodya snapped her head up at the voice of a waitress that was looking down at her with heavy lidded eyes. Akodya tensed. Quickly tipping her head down again to hide her face under the safety of her hood before answering. "Just water, thank you." She said quietly. The waitress grunted in reply before walking away. Not allowing herself the luxury of relaxing, Akodya sat up straight at let her eyes wonder to the door she had come through. A few figures draped in dark attire entered. A violent chill suddenly run down the girl's neck. She felt the presence in the force had disturbed her hiding.

Sith?

She would not make a scene. Instinctively Akodya's hand moved to grasp the light saber hilt that hung under the folds of her robes. If they were here for her, she would wait for them to make the first move. If they were here by chance, she would slip out when she saw fit. Time would tell.

"Spread out. Stay on watch." The Admiral whispered into the comlink clipped on the inside of his cloak's folds. After a series of acknowledgements, he moved in throughout the crowd. Thumping music and grinding bodies resulted in the grimacing of the hooded Chiss weaving his way through the mass congregation of loud music and shouting adults, more than likely most of them too intoxicated to even register that a larger than average figure moved about the milling clump.

This was nothing like the dances and balls of the Chiss, orderly and elegant. His kind would never stoop this low as to be bumping and grinding in the middle of the night, it was shameful. Had these people no dignity? Giving the surrounding people a little touch from his mental trace, he made sure they kept their distance from him. Crimson eyes locked on to the other hooded figure taking a seat in the rear, quickly being confronted by a waitress. Davin's legs churned forward at the distraction provided by the waitress staff, silently thanking the club for on-the-spot service as he made his stealthy advance.

His indigo hued hands produced a grey hilt from his belt, hidden behind his cloak as he took a seat before the Force presence, careful only to let his shimmering red eyes shone from his hood.

"Now, Sith." He snarled. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Both of which involve exterminating your kind." His free hand flashed a symbol below the table, letting the other Knights know that he'd made contact.

Discreetly watching as the figure began to snake his way through the swarm of bodies that had gathered on the dance floor. Akodya thought she might have had a chance to slip away, but much to her dismay the being that was making such a irritating disturbance was bee lining to her table. It was too late to run now. Her hand curled even tighter around her concealed weapon. Soon enough the figure that could now be confirmed as male dropped into the seat in front of her, a pair of pupil-less, crimson eyes glaring through the darkness of his own hood. Chiss. Her stomach churned.

"Now, Sith. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Both of which involve exterminating your kind." A low voice threatened. Akodya's heart skipped a beat. Sith? Did he just say she was a Sith? Well, at least she knew now the man in front of her was not Sith. The girl dipped her head as she sighed, careful to conceal her face when she spoke.

"You're mistaken. I'm not Sith." She replied simply, her soft voice barely audible in the aggressive noise that blasted around the building. The girl was now curious. The Chiss was a force user, or strong in the force, but not Sith. He certainly wasn't Jedi either.

He almost spat right in her face. What did this feminine voice mean she "wasn't a Sith?" What else could she be? A Jedi? For God's sake, a Jedi on Dromund Kaas would be more than suicidal. The Grand Admiral had to take a moment almost as long as his title to register what he'd just heard. Davin considered killing the fething Sith right here and right at that instant, but the cool perspective of his brash side proved to be just a mere sliver stronger. The cool touch of the grey hilt clasped in his hands assisted in the calming down of the Chiss who didn't tend to be prone to aggressive behavior nor hot anger.

Yet it shone true in that flicker of a second.

"Don't lie to me, Sith." He uttered the word as if it were a curse. Which, technically was what they happened to be. It wasn't Davin's fault that they slaughtered the innocent and purged the galaxy of light and freedom. It was only his job to stop them and restore order and peace, but that was a minor goal to his primary. "Reveal your identity and I will consider giving you a merciful death."

"You have three seconds."

His hands released the hidden saber, rising to interlock his fingers and prop his elbows on the table. Crimson and indigo.

"Three..."

"Two..."

As the stranger began to threaten her further, it was clear this guy loathed the Sith with a passion. The cold tone in his voice made the hairs on the back of the young woman's neck stand up. A thick layer of hatred coated his every word. Her knuckles were turning white as she gripped her weapon tighter out of nerves. She really didn't have anyone to blame for this, thinking she could slip onto this planet without being noticed. Her stomach tied itself up in knots. The old Akodya would have never acted on such an impulse, and for good reason too. She opened her mouth to speak again, but she was cut off by the Chiss beginning to count backwards towards her demise.

"Now you are just being irrational!" Akodya blurted out as he counted down with a growling voice, her heart beating a little bit faster. He wouldn't kill her in here, if he actually was going to take her life. She had a feeling he wasn't that stupid. "I promise you, I am not Sith! I am, I mean, I was..." Her whispers faded, praying no one overheard her. Finally lifting her gaze up to meet his, hazel swam in the red for a moment.

Placing her weapon on the table to show the black armored man she meant to know harm, she hesitantly lowered her hood to reveal her face, letting her long hair fall over her shoulders as it normally did. "Lets talk like normal people if you are not convinced. Face to face."

For a moment, Davin believed the whimpers coming from the hooded form. Her soft voice broke just ever so slightly that a small twinge of emotion trickled out in the faintest of ways that the Grand Admiral could barely notice it. He hesitated for a fraction of a second, loosening his clasped hands and almost reaching out to plant a hand upon her shoulder. But he didn't, all of that happened within the confines of his thoughts. What was happening? The man's glowing eyes widened a tad in realization that he was becoming soft.

"One-" And he was cut off. The feminine voice before him blurted out with a remark regarding Davin's apparent irrational behavior in dealing with the Sith. What kind of darkside Force user would question rationality when in a situation like this? Maybe she really wasn't a Sith, maybe she wasn't one of the things that Davin had vowed to exterminate from the face of the galaxy. Perhaps he had been mistaken for once in his life.

Before he could utter another word, her hood was discarded with fluid motion to reveal a face. The Knight's own hidden face contorted to a tiny frown at the sight, he'd expected something...different. But nonetheless, he tried to contain his thoughts in vain of the woman's beauty. The dropped hood, the surrendered weapon, and the seemingly genuine innocence of a pretty girl. Perhaps even the greatest of Admirals could be swayed. "Fine. Accompany me outside." He flicked his gaze around to ensure that his men were still ready. "It isn't safe here."

And with that, he rose from his seat and motioned for her to follow. He didn't touch the saber either, that was her first test.

Akodya's eyes didn't leave the hooded man's for a long time, her stare not wavering as a silence fell over them. He was hesitating. She could feel his uncertainly radiate off him. Hopefully she had got the message across that she didn't mean anyone any harm. Although, without the shielding shadows of her hood, the young woman felt terribly exposed. Her identity was out in the open now, for anyone to see. Still, despite how nervous she felt she still held her regal posture she had developed at the temple, her back straight and her chin tilted ever so slightly upward. Akodya didn't want to let this possible killer know she was frightened. Finally, the mysterious man spoke. His deep ruby eyes quickly fluttered around the room before he commanded her to accompany him outside the establishment. His voice less rough and hostile than before, but still cold and foreboding.

"Fine." She muttered before slowly standing up, careful not to draw attention to herself. Swiftly pulling her hood back up Akodya took back the surrendered weapon the Chiss obviously left on the table. Clipping it back on her belt she followed him toward the exit, once again weaving her way through the crowd grinding and rubbing against each other. Is this what pasted for dancing? Akodya couldn't help but find it a little undignified. Even though her mother's parties tended to be full of stuck up millionaires with to much time on their hands, she preferred the graceful and slow ballroom dancing rather than this unskillful display of vulgarity. Even moving as quickly as she could, she couldn't escape some drunken pervert clumsily groping her behind. A tinge of annoyance overcame the girl before she quickly grabbed the man's wrist and gave it a sharp twist out of anger, forcing him to let go in less than a few seconds, his whimpers of pain lost in the swarm. No one seemed to notice the action as she neared the doors.

Once outside in the rain again Akodya huddled near the wall of the building to avoid the downpour as best she could, crossing her arms. Akodya leered at the man, wondering what he was going to do next. It wasn't that long ago he was genuinely going to kill her.

"Before I follow you any further I'd like to know your agenda, or your name at least." She said.

As the two swam through the sea of twisting and motion filled bodies, several blackened figures arose in the outskirts, drawing their hoods closer over their eyes and moving to outline the vicinity with an intense presence and secure formation. The dark cloaked and armored Imperial Knights assigned to Davin were particularly trained in the arts of stealth movements and rapid infiltration and exfil. No doubt they were good at what they were doing. The Grand Admiral began to see their powers at work as partial areas of the crowd shifted due to the flow of the motion and music and partially to the outside influences of the persuasive techniques the Knights utilized.

He heard a shuffling of clothing and muffled sounds behind him as he led the girl forward, his crimson eyes flicking a glance over his shoulder to see his companion prying the hands of some mongrel from her bottom. His lips curved upwards ever so slightly before his gaze returned forward. Perhaps she wasn't a Sith, a real one would have killed such an offender on the spot. This woman just freed herself and continued on moving forward. Davin wasn't particularly interested in her journey, but the destination was need-to-know information at this point. She was a very interesting woman, she'd piqued the Admiral's interest and she was going to answer his questions.

He lowered his head to whisper into the comlink clipped to the inside of his collar. "Maintain a safe distance, secure the surroundings and prepare for exfil. Be wary of patrols."

"Aye, sir."

Then they were outside in the pouring rain, the rear of the club was slightly shielded by a little overhang yet that offered no protection from the wind. After confirming the whereabouts of the surrounding team, Davin stripped himself of his cloak. The midnight-black armor had internal heating systems good enough for this weather and it was already getting late anyways. The rain helped too. With the cloak in hand, he threw it around the woman's slender frame atop her own set of overgarments. A gentleman could not just stand by and let a woman stand in such harsh climates, be it friend or foe.

With a fluid motion, Davin's right hand snapped up to his chest, balling with the force and landing knuckles down in the Imperial salute.

"I am Grand Admiral Vad'avi'nuruodo, Knight of the Fel Imperum." He eased from the salute.

She no doubt would introduce herself. Whether she was a Sith or not, he had the upper hand anyways. The placement of his cloak added sluggishness to her movements and his team was already positioned.

The wind was howling far stronger than it was when she had entered the cantina. The aggressive gale force roughly tugged at her hair and her clothing as it rushed past. She was really feeling the cold now. Akodya huffed and blew a lightly damp curl out of her face before she felt something warm drape itself around her shoulders. The Chiss had wordlessly thrown his own cloak over her form, out of politeness or as a peace offering, she didn't know. Although she didn't question it any further as the mans face was no longer hidden from her. Akodya was a little taken back. She hadn't expected someone so...young. The alien could bee close to her age, his features were quite striking. There was age in his crimson eyes, a sense of maturity and responsibility was deeply embedded in the garnet gloom. Akodya's lips parted in a tiny and silence gasp before they returned once again to a harsh line. What had this guy seen?

Muttering a quick thank you the young Chiss slipped into a strict salute, his blue fist slamming against the harsh black chest plate he donned. As he eased out of the gesture Akodya's mouth curled into a fragment of a smirk before he introduced himself, title and all. An admiral of the Fel? The name rang a bell but she couldn't place a definition to it. The man's name however, was an interesting one. "Vad'avi'nuruodo..." She said softly, playing with the name and way it felt on her tongue as she practised saying it. Hopefully she was saying it right...and that he had a nickname.

"Akodya Mune." She introduced in turn rather stiffly. She was still getting the hang of placing her old title before her family name, and she no longer bothered with the overly polite formalities which she once used on everyone she made contact with.

"And your friends are...?" She said referring to the group he had originally come with, her eyes flickering around the dull street.

As the young woman before him let her mouth hang agape for just a fraction of a second, Davin took the chance to take a few strides forward. His features did indeed reflect upon his age, but he was a Thrawn descendant, not known for being particularly youthful looking whilst also bearing the namesake of one of the greatest strategists that had ever graced such a galaxy. He wasn't like the rest of the Chiss, emotion was a fond virtue slowly arising in his personality. Rather than the cold, harsh politics and behavior of the Chiss that reflected the climate of their homeworld, Davin increasingly found himself trusting his instincts in fast-paced situations rather than sitting back and double checking his options. Maybe it was a good thing, maybe it wasn't.

He assumed it was the former.

"Davin." He sounded off as the girl toyed with his full name on her tongue. "Just call me Davin." He closed the distance between himself and the young woman, letting his crimson gaze sweep across her form, laying itself to rest upon her face. She was strikingly beautiful, for a human at that. Not that he ever bothered with relationships in the serious manner, the Grand Admiral tended to be more in favor for Chiss girls. But this human named Akodya Mune just happened to smash the little portion of specieism he'd still held within him that had been bred into him by the Academy. The Chiss weren't superior, though they did exhibit particular traits deemed especially valuable in a logical world by other species, but other races happened to have their values as well. Maybe this human before him would be a testament to that.

"These men are Imperial Knights." He shot his gaze in the direction Akodya was looking and managed to catch sight of one of his men positioning himself upon the second story of a nearby vendor. His steely stare found its way back to the cloaked human. "Now I have a few questions." He kept his voice low, keeping his mindset mission oriented. "What are you in profession? Why are you here? And why do you have that lightsaber?" He folded his arms, giving off the impression that he had all day.

The alien had taken a step closer towards Akodya, now towering above her with his red eyes piercing her very soul as he stared down at her with an unreadable expression. He once again sneered at her in his low, icy voice as he questioned her like a criminal. The human had never encountered someone so desperate to find fault in another being as this Chiss. Akodya glowered at him as the wind began to pick up, trying to ignore the men under Davin's command that were probably littered all around them with fingers on blaster triggers, just as anxious to hear her confess to her nonexistent crimes as he was.

"I have a lightsaber because I used to be a Jedi. I have no 'profession' nor do I have a purpose for being on this planet. I was just curious. Is that a good enough answer for you?" She hissed under her breath. Letting out a frustrated sigh she aggressively pulled the cloaks tighter around her body. She didn't want to look like the the weather was bothering her. With posture still impeccable she pulled the tip of her hood down further to shield her eyes. "I am not Sith, and I am not a thread to anyone." She murmured.

For some reason, the word profession made Akodya's mind reply an old conversation she had with her mother. She had wanted Akodya to consider attending her gatherings more often to see if you met anyone 'special' of 'a decent background'. It had just occurred to her she hadn't even let her mother know she had left the Order or Coruscant altogether. Even though the woman was more of a distant relative than a mother, she was still the woman that had brought her to life...she should know. The sound of rain beating down against the roof of the building pulled Akodya back to reality.

"Any further questions?" she asked sarcastically.

@[member="Davin"]

Davin cocked an eyebrow, pushing his red gaze forward as he inspected her form with pupil-less eyes. A Jedi? Here on Dromund Kaas, the Sith Empire's capital world teeming with scum and villainy? Either she was stupid, lost, or a Sith talented in the arts of cloaking one's dark side influence. She didn't seem lacking in brain cells as given an example of her exceptional observation skills. She was probably lost, or a Sith. If the latter, then Davin and his team would probably be dead by now anyways.

Maybe he'd give her the benefit of doubt.

"A Jedi, you say? What is one of the galaxy's finest peacekeepers doing here on Dromund Kaas?" Sarcasm dripped from his words. The Jedi were almost as pathetic as the Sith. Their tenets strove for peace and unity yet they started more wars than they could count. The Fel Imperium was honest in that aspect, using the Imperial Knights as a military asset rather than some Order than trained people to start karking wars. "Not sight seeing, I suppose. If you have no purpose for being here, then perhaps you'd like to accompany me?"

"I used to be a Jedi, I am no longer a member of that order so refrain from the sarcasm." She grumbled. It was clear Davin held no respect for the Jedi, and probably thought of her as one of those emotionless hypocrites now. Not that she cared what some untrustworthy Chiss' opinions of her. Akodya's lip curled into a sneer, resisting the urge to drop the cloaks she was clinging to into the near by puddle out of spite. The questions were really getting under her skin. Can't she ever have any time for herself without something happening? She was content with being alone, so why did the force want to force other beings into her lives? It just ends in trouble.

"Accompany you where? a back alleyway so you can shoot me in the head like you were intending to not that long ago? Do you really think I'd accompany you anywhere?" She said, removing the cloak and beginning to fold it up ready to hand to him. Was he crazy? like she would follow him any further after the interrogation and death threats. "Look, blue, I don't know what you want, but you aren't going to find it here. I am no threat to you or your Fel Empire. Please, leave me be." She said, a little calmer.

Let me go back to my solitude.

@[member="Davin"]

She was indeed a lot smarter and observant than he'd expected. No doubt it was from her training, which seemed even more believable now. If she was a Jedi, she would have offered an even better reason than she'd stated before and if Sith, he'd probably be flanked and outgunned by now. He had no other choice than to believe her. However, she'd offered a small, but tangible piece of information in her confession of departing the Order. An ex-Jedi on Dromund Kaas was either trying to commit suicide or had no where else to go. She was Force sensitive and obviously trained and mature enough to make decisions for herself, perhaps she'd indeed like to come with him after providing enough reason to. The edges of his lips curled up into a small grin, smirking at her assumption of his previous offer for her to follow.

"You've passed all my tests and have seen through my ruse." His eyes shimmered. "So let me try you. You have nowhere to go, no money, no family, and no friends to go back to?" The Grand Admiral assumed at least one was probably wrong, but it never hurt to take a shot. "And I know you have no threat to my Imperium, so why not join us? We're not Jedi, we're not Sith."

He snickered at a thought. "And did you really think I'd do something as low as use a blaster?"

Akodya opened her mouth to protest his conclusions, but words fail to defend her. He was right. She had no family, only relatives. She refused the credits that belonged to her bloodline, Akodya didn't want the dirty money. She believed once that she might have managed to make a few friends in the order despite her harsh facade, but she knew deep in her heart she was no good for them. They were all on completely different paths...Akodya was still fighting the idea her road was a lonely one. She was a purposeless being that was just drifting the galaxy hoping to find some kind of proof that she belonged somewhere. Is that why she had felt the impulse to come to Kaas City? had she subconsciously wanted a Sith to find her, to kill her?

"Then what are you? what is your purpose?" She asked slowly, hesitant to reveal the curiosity in her voice. Although she had grown tired of masking the emotion in her voice, she wanted to make sure the tone of sorrow didn't linger in the softly spoken words. Pride was all she had now. An eyebrow quirked up at his smothered laughter.

"Remember, I don't know you that well Blue. I do associate the use of a blaster with shady folk." She said with a half smirk.

She was interesting...

Davin couldn't help but try to place a finger on his thoughts or feelings on that matter, but it was mighty peculiar. Her hesitant reply to his assumptions about her merely just confirmed his brief analysis and he found it...saddening. It wasn't like him to feel for those who were alone, but it was hardwired into his soul to care. Mainly because he was brought up that way too. He himself had no real friends, his family was oppressed, and the only money he had was earned solely by himself. Davin was even serving in the Sith Navy at some point in time, and so he'd seen things that he hoped nobody else would ever experience that. Not even his foes.

"What am I? I am an Imperial Knight. Sworn fealty to my Imperator and my Imperium." A flicker of pride shown in his features, a light grin forming and his eyes glowing. "Peace, honor, valor, and freedom. We've already liberated numerous worlds from the falling Sith's rule."

"I offer you a home with no surprises." A gust of chilled wind cut through the pause, ruffling the Chiss's dark hair. "I give you my word I can ensure that."

Akodya eyed him with an ambivalent look on her face. A small smile appeared on his lips as he spoke, clearly proud of the achievements he might have been directly apart of. Liberation and peace? she had come to learn that they were unnatinable. She had spent her life believing it was possible through the Jedi, but she had been mistaken. There was corruption everywhere, and there would be within the Fel Imperium. Usually with an offer like this Akodya would simply walk away, but his choice of words had intrigued her.

I offer you a home with no surprises...

...A home...

That word lingered in her mind for a long while, chewing on it like a dog would with a bone. A home implied many things. It meant family, safety, acceptance. Was he just saying that because he new it would get her? In the howling wind Akodya's eyes fell on his face once again, her gaze hot wavering as she studied the Chiss' face for something, anything, that supported his claim. The breeze tousled his hair and released his face from the shadow it had cast. He seemed so genuine with his features softened just a little, but Akodya didn't want to believe it. She refused to put her faith into anything ever again, but the idea of home was so tempting.

"Did you find home there?" She said after what seemed like a long silence, her voice barely detectable under the harsh winds and growing rain before snatching her eyes away. "I will hold you to your word, although I am not committing to anything until I see this great liberating Imperium for myself." she said stiffly.

@[member="Davin"]

Bewildered, the Chiss's gaze softened as he momentarily glanced at the ground. Her question had struck home. Did you find a home there? He didn't really know how to answer that. It wasn't natural for him or his species to openly express emotion or anything along the lines of personal feelings and the sort. A chill breeze curtailed his moment of thinking as he huffed out a cloud of hot air, bringing his eyes to rest upon Akodya's features. "I did."

"I used to be a Sith. I served in their navies, underwent torture and training, and became a weapon of hate." His teeth gritted together in remembrance of past moments on this god-forsaken world. "But I came to my senses and the Fel took me in." Another few silent seconds flew between the pair with nothing but the harsh breeze keeping them company.

"Sir, what's taking you so long?"

The earpiece rattled, almost stunning the Admiral. "One moment, prepare for exfil."
"Aye, sir. Just a little cold outside is all."

A smirk flashed for a maybe half a milisecond as Davin returned his focus to the ex-Jedi. "So what is it? Will you join me and find your home?"
