First Order Navy Player Ranks

[Aram Kalast]

The Navy of the First Order is the Iron Blockade and Slicing Knife behind the Imperial Territories of the First Order, both Force-Users and Non-Force users alike hold military power according to rank held within the structure beneath the Supreme-Commander. At the core is a three-tier rank system in which the power of a player is capped to the highest rank they hold.

The base of this system is as follows.
Non-Commissioned Officer | Acolyte
Officer | Knight
Admiral | Lord

Upon joining the First Order military Non-Force Using characters start as a Non-Commissioned Officer. Those that wish to begin as an officer or Admiral must post a request in this thread with the following template and await permission to be granted as such:

Requested Rank: Rank Requested [Officer or Admiral]
Justification: IC and OOC reasons for this request as well as IC evidence.

Those Non-Force Users who hold rank within the First Order Navy can be promoted by adhering to the following rules:

Promotion from NCO to Officer: An Officer/Knight or Admiral/Lord must vouch for the character’s promotion to Officer in this thread.
Promotion to Admiral: The Officer must await the vouching of a Admiral/Lord rank and have a seconded vote from those within the Tier 3 ranks. The Faction Admins may overturn a vote to either negate or approve the candidate’s position if they believe it a necessity.

A character may not be demoted from the core ranks of the First Order.

Justification: Attempting to combine fighter and bomber pilot characters, and support staff all in one unit. That would require a rank higher than the subordinate squadron commanders (Captains).

Justification: Tossing this in here to make things official while the IC threads progress. Have built up two navies from practically nothing (Galactic Imperium and Atrisian Emprie), assisted with one (Lords of the Fringe) and twice overhauled one (One Sith). Have something of a reputation for doing fleet stuff, apparently. Also was formerly Fleet Admiral of the One Sith and offered the Grand Admiral position. Have no intention of taking things over one way or another, but it would.be neat to have an excuse to use the dress whites pic someone did for me. I defer to the discretion of the FO and FA's.

However, your long record and threads around the board speaks for itself, so although Grand Admiral is a position for one person only and is currently occupied by William Kerkov, I would have no problem with giving you the Fleet Admiral position.

To be honest Grand Admiral can be multiple positions, spread across the entire fleet under the directive of the Supreme Commander. So I leave it for yourself Cyrus, Grand or Fleet?

[member="Aram Kalast"] wasn't our original intention though to have Grand Admiral, as well as Field Marshal (Army) be occupied by one person?

Not to mention, in our new Starfighter Corps branch, the plan is to have the equivalent rank to these, General of the Fighters, be occupied by one person only.

EDIT: Nevermind, I re-read our old threads. The only military rank occupied by one person is the Supreme Commander.
