First steps back to the Light(Iella E'ron)

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
Location: Voss, Silver Jedi Temple
Master Iella's Chambers
Afternoon

She watched the Knight go after being beaten by the man she loved, Connor Harrison, she was still in shock how he could be that violent to her. Nima still was feeling a great pain in her arm, as if it was broken. And she could still feel his fingers on her cheek, and it was burning with both pain and anger. She tried to stand up, but the pain was great, so she could only sit there and wait until the pain has gone away, taking the strength from the garden walls. Her wounds were still fresh and new after the events on Shri-tal and she was lucky that they didn't open again. Maybe she went too far, maybe she was really a poison for the Order, she couldn't understand it. Master E'ron... Yes... she could help her understand, she could help her win against her own darkness, because she didn't want to be alone in her path once again.

Minutes later, as her strength was coming back to her she slowly stood up, holding the garden walls, and started to move towards the Temple, with thousand thoughts flying through her head. She was too far, she knew it... She understood it when she slowly lost her vision as she continued to speak... more like shout. Why couldn't she just shut up and move towards her own way. Now she caused all this, and it was her fault, she didn't judge him. But she would report him because looking at his eyes, he wasn't himself while he was beating her, more like the Taung was in control again. Since Master E'ron was the Grandmaster, she could understand and do something. She slowly cleaned the blood on her mouth and coughed as she was getting near to Master E'ron's room. She knocked, and slowly opened the door.

The Grandmaster was sitting on her chair with all her beauty and wisdom, looking worriedly at her, as if she understood what happened. She could understand it, as Master E'ron could read her mind, and she was still probably thinking about what happened as she stood in front of her, this time she didn't conceal them, because she knew that her thoughts would explain what happened to her more than her mouth. "Master E'ron. I am sorry to bother you but..." she bowed slowly and continued to talk, raising her eyebrows as she didn't want to cry in front of her. But her voice was shaky and she could clearly understand the emotional state that Nima was in. "Can we... can we talk? I need your help." She waited her response, still trying to stand but she could feel tha pain in her stomach.

Standing up before the Padawan, Iella looked her over. Much physical evidence that she had been attack and so to her mind. However, Nima was concealing all thoughts well. Iella could only read a sense of the events. She had left her with Connor not that long ago, in the peach orchard to talk and think over some issue they both have, not just with the events of the possess but with each other.

"What has happened? who did this to you?". She moved closer the Nima to examine her further. On her red skin she could see the markings of aggression.

"Come sit and tell me what you need to say". Iella pulled out a chair for her to rest.

As she slowly sat on the one of the comfortable chairs, she felt the amount of the pain she felt in her stomach decreased. She sat there for a moment, silently trying to sort the words out and explain herself clearly to her. Master E'ron was a caring, lovely person and the way she was treating her after everything that happened, she was ashamed that she let the jealousy control her body and think bad things about her. Maybe as Knight Harrison said, she was a poison to this Order. She felt like crying once again, the thoughts of failing him and her father. She wanted to erase everything and re-start to her life as a Jedi, but that was not possible of course. Besides, if she didn't live all this, she couldn't meet a strong Jedi like him, and maybe never explore what she had inside of her. "He... he did this. But..." She stopped for a moment, and then continued, no more games and lies, she was telling the truth. "I pushed him too far... That was my fault. I lost myself and didn't act like a Jedi at all. He did the right thing, I wasn't myself. That's what I wanted to talk with you. "

"I... I feel like I am slowly losing myself. I am transforming into the ones that we swore to defeat. And I can't control it... Don't want to control it. I like it. I like to let darkness change me. And the last events that I lived... I know I need to think like a Jedi and let the past stay as the past and continue to live but... I can't forget them. I can't forget him. But he's not the same... It is like he wants to... forget me... erase me from his memories. But I know... he..." She felt that the anger and confusion of her suddenly disturbed the peace of the chambers. She realized that the aura of the room was slowly changing, and It was her fault. Her voice was shaking and she was getting nervous, as the dark thoughts slowly started to fill her head again. "I... I am sorry Master E'ron. See... I don't know what to do. I need your help. I can't control it myself anymore."

Iella took the seat next to her as the young girl began the details of the events. Her face etched in concern and many questions. Iella could sense she is boiling over with many conflicting emotions all stemming form the events and some from her past. She is young and inquisitive which is normal and even though she wishes to learn of more darker elements, that too is acceptable and told Iella that she is more then blinded by the a single view. This will be, over time, answered for her, but she needs a good strong guiding hand to walk the path with her for some time before she would need to go and find her own way.

"He? who is he?", she knew but need conformation.

"As for you 'losing control', is it not a surprise considering what happened in the tower. You are my Padawan and I will not let you fall. But rather, show you the way back and increase you abilities. I do not hide form all aspects the force has to give and over time I will give you what I can to help you".

She stood once more and offered her hand to Nima. "Come I will take you to the medical bays and get treatment for you. Then when you have rested we will begin training".

"Knight Harrison... He is the one that did this to me. He was... more violent than before, back at the tower." She said, her voice was like a whisper, that the sadness could be read from her tone. She sighed, that she remembered the events in the garden once again. When someone encounters something that she never encountered before, that could be possible for her to want it once more, right? And when the thing she encountered was the best thing happened in her entire life... Was it wrong to want to live that moments again and again and again... Yes it was. Everything had happened because of her, and her uncontrollable darkness. She thought that she was in control first, she embraced the darkness and let it control and slowly take her body. This had to stop. She made a promise to her father, a promise that no one could make her break. Even him. She was going to train, train and train. And someday, she would become a strong Jedi, just like her father was.

She held her hand and slowly stood up from the chair, with a big, sincere smile. She was feeling better, that the chair was very comfortable and the aura of the room was just refreshing. And the Grandmaster's wise, but lovely voice was making her feel safe. As they continued to walk towards the corridors that was going to the medbay, she started to speak, her voice was a little affected by the pain she was feeling from her stomach, but it was showing the strength and confidence inside her. "Master E'ron. Thank you... for everything." She smiled, looking at her eyes. "I am sorry for what I have done to the Order. I caused all of this, yet... you trusted me. Even you want to train me now. I don't know if I deserve that forgiveness, I may be unstable, after all that happened, but I will try to do my best from now on, I will try to return back to the Light from the darkness inside me. Thank you."

As Nima spoke his name, Iella sighed. It was clear to Iella she had left them too soon, if she had remained this would never have happened. At least not at that point. Why had she not forseen this?

She pushed that though aside for the moment, and refocused on Nima. "I will summon him as soon as possible". That would be all she would say at this point, regarding Connor. Her main concern was her injuries.

"Nima you have done nothing to the Order, we remain strong and will do always. These .. events happen. It is the way the force tests us from time to time. As Jedi we face constant trials, some more so then others and this now is yours and Connors. The trials we face daily .. the darkside resides within us all. We are only sentient beings with faults which makes no one perfect .. no Jedi is perfect".

They entered the medical bay and Iella issued orders for the team to begin. She will speak to Nima more after her treatment, Iella waited outside for the Padawan.

"He's just... like not himself anymore. Can't even remember he hurt me like that before, even when he was possessed..." She sighed sadly, and looked at Master E'ron's eyes, seeing the regret in them, probably thinking about Knight Harrison's status and her safety, as they continued to walk the long corridor to the medbay. And silence happened, a disturbing silence. She was the one to break that. "But sometimes... it's just impossible to stay strong. Just..." She sighed again, as she knew what she was talking about. She was letting the darkness to come again, so she stopped herself and continued. "I want to thank you for trying to save me. It will be an honor to train with you, Master E'ron. I hope I will be a good student for you." She smiled, hoping to keep her promise and be a good Padawan. She was ready to change, and she was ready to get rid of the darkness that was controlling her actions.

They finally arrived to the medbay, and she slowly sat on the bed, feeling the pain of her stomach. She looked at her surroundings, lots of medicines, clean medical stuff, trustworthy doctors, and all white and silver, just like the name of the Order. She continued to wait as Master E'ron was talking with the doctors. Even the doctors were looking to her like she was a criminal... She did bad things, that's for sure. But she was not a criminal, she did what she thought was for a better future. The actions weren't more important than the intentions, right? As Master E'ron left, the doctors slowly moved towards her, still giving her a cold stare. She remained silent and kept her head down, letting them do their job. Minutes later, as the doctors bandaged her arms and gave her some medicine to make the pain in her stomach disappear, she was feeling better already. She thanked them coldly and slowly moved towards to the door. She heard some voices, they were probably talking about her.

As she opened the door, she saw Master E'ron was waiting her. As their eyes met each other, she nodded and walked towards her. "Not everyone is that forgiving like you." She said, with a sad tone then added. "Well, they did their job well enough. I feel better already." Leaving all the negative thoughts behind, she smiled and the excitement of learning new things could be read from her face. She always liked to learn new things, as a little child she loved watching other Jedi to train and then tried herself, that way she became good at the lightsaber combat, but she always felt a little disconnected from the Force, maybe that was because she didn't meditate a lot. But one thing was for sure. She was excited and looking forward to learn from her. "I am ready for the training, Master E'ron. Whenever you want to start."

After receiving the medical care she needed, Nima rejoined Iella in the corridor. The Grand Masters countenance had soften a little more as she smiled. Nima already looked physically better and as she approached Iella placed a hand on her shoulder for reassurance.

"I know Connor and I know he is still struggling with the what happened with the Taung. But that does not excuse his actions regardless, I will be speaking to him very soon, and I will have to punish him. I can not let it go unchecked".

"All that matters at this point is that you are to rest and get better, both physically and mentally. This has taken a great toll on you as well. Nima no body in the Silver Jedi will ever give up on you or Connor, you are family and because of this much loved".

She turned to walk Nima back to her quarters. "The only thing you need to do now is to forgive yourself, do that and others will as well".

As they approached the Padawan quarters, Iella turned to Nima. "Now rest, we will begin training when you are fully recovered. You will need all your strength", she smiled as Iella is a demanding Master.
