First time board/text Roleplay

I'm sorry if this should go somewhere else, but I didn't see a threat specifically for inviting newbies... maybe that's an idea to consider if there isn't one? If there is one and I missed it, I'm sorry.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a RP group to join, and am not really sure where to start without risking to cut into some galactic starship hi-jacking and ruining the war. XD
Tips and invites are appreciated! My bio is of course one of the few topics I've made.

Hey and welcome to the site! I'm Aaron and it's a blast to meet you, if you are looking for an faction or a group to join I would need to know more about your character then I can point you in the right direction :)

Just a heads up, after reading your bio, unless you are transferring a character from another forum/RP you will need to start out as a padawan or apprentice-level force user. I'm sure someone would be more than happy to help you get there, though.

Very nice to meet you sir. As Brraith pointed out, a more fleshed out Bio would work best, looking to the timeline and the current faction map can help figure out what has happened these last few years. Well that is unless your looking to run a blank slat and develop as you go, that's cool too.

But I don't mind RPing with a Jedi, I'm pretty bias to both sides of the force.

I hoped people would look at my intro and character to know:
(Sorry, I don't know how to "mention" people on this forum; help please?)
Jaster, my character bio clearly states it's correlation to the timeline.
Oddball, I also ask you take a look at my profile, it's not like I have many topics/posts.

Braith: Thank you for taking effort to read my character. :D
I already talked to Tefka about it, I come from LARP and another Star Wars RP group which is still in running, but not online.
I actually am pulling some of those people here, but we're starting a new story, likely faction that will probably be non-very-canon to other posts.

I guess I should let him know it's on the forum now so he can award the badge, to avoid this in the future, eh? XD

Most reliable way to tag somebody is to type out: [member = 'Name'] without the spaces. The @Mention button works, too, but it's glitchy and sometimes doesn't notify.

And by playby, I mean finding an avatar that shows what your character looks like. Honestly, I think most of the faces I end up showing people are either anime or Final Fantasy characters.

'kay, no problem. If you end up needing a picture, I can find one and crop it to avatar size in a couple of minutes.

When I first joined this I was new to forum-based rping. I read a tiny bit, made a character, and leaped right into a game! The community is very inviting and gives good advice. If you want, we could do a story together.

P.S My master is a crazy woman. I know from experience.

P.S.S [member="Matsu Ike"] will junt me down unless the mention system bugs!

I do apologies, I didn't mean to state you didn't fit the timeline, just that even though your age is unknown, doesn't mean your character has a past. Well this is of course unless your character lost his memory. So when I said flushed out, I had meant to mean more elaborated, or exstended. Of course this isn't needed, some characters here don't even have a bio, it does help other players though to properly understand your background is all.

As for being not very Canon, that's userslly fine, as long as you stay on Star Wars Physics and Terminology, what you write and create will generally be accepted by the community.

Thanks for the feedback!

For more backstory, I typically like more enigmatic characters. Think something like Auron from FFX, if you're familiar.
Also, that works for me mentally, as it allows me to adapt and come up with more ideas without being put on the spot of "I want this", and feeling bad changing it later. I do know much of what I want, and keep it hidden for the enigmatic factor, but just saying that I typically have multiple reasons for any decision. XD

[member="Braith"] Thanks for the info!

Well I've encountered some that at least don't have them posted on their Page. So idk if some have them or not, and it's not like the admin team approves the creation of Characters, Do they?
