First Time for Everything

Damien leaned back against the booth he sat in, arms draped lazily across the back. Currently he was at the HomeLand Buffet on Mandalore, the one designated Mesh'la Kai'yam or Beautiful Kitchen for his vod. There was little more than a reason to drink, eat, and relax, behind his being there. Well, admittedly it helped that it was a five star establishment.

They also had amazing brandy.

A waitress approached, finally relaxed, after being told to do so heavily before having the Force remove her fears, as it was irritating Damien, "Weren't you the one who ordered the rare Krayt, salad with light dressing, and an EDV?"

Damien grinned, "That'd be me!" He said sitting up straighter, rubbing his hands together as she set the two large plates before him. He straightened the silverware almost compulsively. When she finished, he as well, she extended an arm to which his hand touched delicately.

Instantly the Force in the area altered as he began to draw from the girl.

Alexandra didn't come to Mandalore as often as she used to, mostly there to relax and look around, until she felt something off and her eyes were drawn to the inside of a Buffet that... well she had never really thought to look at. It was something that she normally had no reason to pay mind to but then she realized why her mind was drawn to it. Her eyes stared in and with a few seconds of thought she moved towards the door.

Irresponsible little twits...

Her mind rambled on with that little statement, cursing in echani mentally as she gave the one main counter a quick look and he seeming to not even notice her walk in. Though, it wouldn't take long for her to see why she had felt what she had, something that set her at ease, albeit it only slightly. It was just some Energy Vampire needing to feast, something that while she still never understood, left her relaxed knowing it wasn't some kid thinking to test out draining someone dry.

She was still reluctant to leave though, something about the man left a strange memory on festering in the back of her mind before she looked back and walked to the front desk, drawing the attention of the one working there. "A booth for one please..." She couldn't put her finger on it, but the man interested her to some level.

When the woman pulled her hand back, Damien smiled at her, then handed her a small credit chit, "Thanks doll." He then reached for the silverware, beginning to cut at the steak. Taking a bite of the still bloody meat, he relished the flavor. The meat did nothing for him, nor the salad, or anything like that, other than being tastey.

Mid bite however, Damien picked up on something. Not even through the Force. It simply was insight for a predator. He was being watched. That in mind he continued eating as if it was nothing, there was no reason to worry. Bite after bite until the steak was finished, then he moved to the salad. Savoring these bites as he had the meat prior to it, Damien continued to feel the eerie feeling of being watched.

Thus when he finished, pushed the plates toward center, then rose to pay. He scanned the crowds until his eyes settled on a woman nearby that perked an interest. He didn't know why... but she seemed familiar. Had they once met? Was she the one watching him?

Alexandra looked as she had for years, granted it was only possible now due to an illusion but the point remained. Having been led to a booth with more than enough room for her to keep an eye on the Energy Vampire, she soon found her eyes traveling to the menu in front of her and debating on if she should actually get something to eat now that she was here. She hadn't gotten to enjoy breakfast because of the pain in the ass that Daeda was and arguing with Hel, who even at this moment was going on with the wolf. That was probably the most annoying thing about having the two of them both in her head, they didn't ever stop.

She sighed and looked up to find that the man was done and now looking at her, the eyes peering at her and her own soon focused on him before a slight smile found her lips. It was faint, it was very very faint but there was something inside that man that made her smile. It was a small annoying little mind that she knew well enough to call him family, just as she did with everyone she grew close to.

And even after realizing this, the smile remained and she looked back down, letting the man decide what to do.

Suddenly it clicked.

The memory rushed inward, he was swinging a amphistaff, bashing it against the woman's defenses. He was young, far younger than his actual memories recognized. Spin, duck behind a droid, flip out to attack with that snake like sword... staff... when in the hell did he ever once even touch an Amphistaff? Damien suddenly realized, his eyes narrowing a brief moment.

Next came her, he and.......... a purple centaur meeting! Instantly he snarled, "Dammit Zaiden, I thought I was done with you and yours!" He said, enraged at seeing his nemesis' Master of a time. Finally the Spirit of the God King swirled into being behind himself, only visible to Damien or those closely dealing with Spirits in one way or another.

"Frak you, Damien. Stay out of my memories!" Zaiden shouted in his own rage, hating the man whom had been his rival in life, and now was his captor and slaver.

"Eat a di-" Damien began, before cutting off his speech as he noticed the woman more intently watching him. He did not want to appear so heavily stupid in front of a potential new nemesis. But to her he let free a flare of power, energy directly drawn from Zaiden as he moved toward the exit. It was his way of saying, 'Yeah, your ex padawan is dead and under my control. Got anything to say? I'll be outside.'

Her brow raised as she got her own food, eating the rather small meal with a smile on her face as she could feel sparks of emotion coming from the man. After all, if there was anyone that knew how well she connected to those around her, it was Zaiden and by extension this man. Even as he looked at her, cutting off a outburst, she took a bite without missing a beat of him storming off and flaring up Zaiden's signature. Inside her mind, laughter rose in conjunction with the man's anger. She decided not to keep this hot head waiting, else he might get saddened.

Leaving her credit chips on the table and placing the tip along with them, her form rose and she headed for the door. It was a quick yet still calm and controlled motion with which she left, almost like air but soon finding herself outside she looked about until she saw the waiting man. Still angry and still fuming no doubt, but it was almost a memory rather than what is happening in front of her.

"I was wondering if little Zaiden got himself killed, almost like a kid trying to be something more. How is that little god of shadows up in your head or did he finally renounce that divinity that he never had?" He eyes scanned over this man, curious if he was Zaiden himself, or simply someone with the pain trapped in his head just as she held someone in hers, though she had the sinking suspicion that it was not a similar reason to have him in this man's head.

Damien leaned against a pillar of some building or other, his arms against his chest, stubbornly ignoring Zaiden whom shouted obscenity after obscenity. The man was able to see one from his life, and now had reborn his aggression and stance of not being useful to Damien. To bad the Master of Mentalism also was a Master Force Walker, else it would have been able to matter.

"Shut your mouth. Now." Damien snarled, and instantly his power leeched at Zaiden's, making his speech near impossible.

Then came the woman, and she spoke. She knew Zaiden, well. It was funny really, he had to agree. Though Zaiden had been incredibly powerful, he had always been systematically to immature to be truly useful to anyone save Ashin Varanin. Now, as always prior, he was a nuisance still, unchanged even in death.

"I am the God of Shadows!!" Zaiden shouted, feeling it was true in spite of everything he had been able to experience.

"He is presently God of nothing." Damien replied, "He claims otherwise, but it doesn't matter to me. And yes, he was killed, though by my hands. I grew tired of his antics and ended them. Plain and simple." He said, eyes finally turning to the woman, "He has memories of you, of being both apprentice and Master around you, your apprentice to be precise... something about his clone... but then he returned from the death to possess the body..." Damien rubbed at his temple as Zaiden once again started shouting.

"I think we will have to do something about this..." Damien muttered..

She raised a brow and took that normal, relaxed stance of hers, the one in which her hands crossed over her chest, idly tapping her fingers and looking at Damien like he was some kid out of habit of seeing Zaiden him at this point. To be fair, at this point most anyone she used to know was older than her biologically, her own change in form enough to change that much. But she had still been Zaiden's master for a time and as far as she was concerned, that made him like a son to her. She had wondered about him, like she wondered about Minna and Saran and Veino. Each had their own futures with the order finally a memory. She had tried to rebuild it but there was times when things needed to die, and that had passed for the order.

Her eyes focused into the man as she thought about the many words Zaiden must be saying, her smile growing and for a few moments she just watched before sighing.

"Would you prefer if i talked to the dumbass, perhaps he will calm down if he sees an old face?" She doubted that even as she had said it, knowing how the man was and knowing that her rarely ever had a good day back when he was alive. She had always drawn to her the ones tht were prone to complaining or running off on their own, Krest and Veino, or even Hakora. She enjoyed seeing them try and build their own lives away from her gaze, but this was not something she enjoyed seeing.

"I promise you, just a small chat with him in your head."
