Strengths:
  • Fleshy Bits: Once more like all Phamas weapons this gun works best against unarmored targets, burning, boiling and vaporizing the cells boring a hole into the target one shoots at.
  • Instant Hit: Traveling at the speed of light such a weapons projectile hit's its target all the time if you are pointing it in the right direction and aim correctly.
  • Heat Away: Being used as a desert weapon the problem of overheating was dealt with as quick as possible, the barrel being longer with added heat sinks in it, as little casing as possible and a wooden frame.
  • Gun Spear: The robust nature of the Phamas design and it's length in combination with the bayonet means that the P1J doubles as a short up to standard short spear for melee engagements.
Weaknesses:
  • Slow Shot: To make sure that the rifle does not overheat and remains functional the weapon can only fire single shots similar to a marksmen rifle. Such is even more vital in a desert enviroment were the weather itself can risk overheating the weapon, over all making the gun less useful in CQC (though not melee) combat.
  • Back to You: With a straight continued beam one can easily trace a shot back to the shooter meaning relocation is required often, more so for a marksmen rifle were you cannot shoot in rapid succession.
  • Armored Targets: Though always at high power due to being a marksmen rifle the P1J still cannon penetrate good armor with one shot, always requiring two direct hit to cut through a basic durasteel breast plate.
Description act
During the skirmish on Tatooine early into the Imperial Guards life it became clear that some planets under CIS rule were still largely in need of some stable security force. Though a designated Viceroy could raise an armed froce to maintain order a few planets did not have a stable government in place to raise such a militia or the necessary man power to fill the ranks and uniforms, Tatooine having both these problems.

On her own accord along with talking to the Vicroy of Melida/Daan and their still struggling world the Tythish Imperiam Guard on Chikako's orders set up a Foreign Legion like doctrine for half of it's future regiments. These regiment would take part in internal military conflict on nearby worlds that the CIS at a large cannot send forces to in large amounts or at all. As such with new areas other then Tythe on the table for future combat zones new weapons were made to reflect that, the Phamas Jezial being apart of this.

Taking inspiration from the desert world of Tatooine the weapon was designed to work in hot conditions, being made as light as possible to reduce carrying stress in harsh conditions while making it able to dissipate heat as quickly as possible. The result was a metal/wooden gun, the but stock carved in a way to reduce weight but give a stable grip, a long barrel to lessen overheating and a larger then usual bayonet (and fixture) to ward off aggressive animals.
